Hearing Sweet Home Alabama

Not to much new

Not much new just another busy day at work. One of the guys I work with sent me a picture of me repelling so I figured I'd post it. I like hanging around on the side of  buildings like spider man.

The other pictures are from this young airman who thought it would be funny to mess with the guys that have been around a while. Now while hazing is not "allowed" in the military behind closed doors it may take place. Anyway we taught him that when you play with the big boys its gonna hurt. One of the guys asked him to talk in the kitchen. Then we grabbed him held him down and wire tied his wrists and ankles. We placed him in the freezer shut and locked the doors. We knew he had air for a while one of the other guys tested it for 2 minutes fully dressed before he got to cold. Well he didn't learn his lesson fully he tried to get us back again so we will see what happens to him next. I'll post pictures when we get him.

We have a plan for one of our firefighters birthdays. We are going to place a duck in her room. Guys have caught them in the past knocked on someone's door and when they open it you toss it in its funny when its not you. Well our plan is to drop the duck through the ceiling tiles from her neighbors room (gently on her bed) I will try to get pics of that too for your viewing pleasure.

Well Like I said not much else new. I just got the pictures e-mailed to me so I figured I'd share them. I should be home soon 17 days for the people in NJ 19 for those of you in MA till then.  Adios

Hearing The Legend of Johnny Cash

just another day in Hondo

Well Today was very hot sitting at the bus stop in the shade I was sweating. I guess I should have made it a pool day. Anyway I went downtown to eat and get my hair cut. Lets start with my lunch a chicken parm meal with pasta that I couldn't finish it was so big w/ a sprite. cost with tip 100 Limpira ($5) then off to get my hair cut the hair barber let me cut the line so I didn't have to wait long ( I'm american and tip better ) that was 30 limpira for the cut plus 30 for a tip ($3) then to the coffee shop I get a Moccachino (its like a ice caffe mocha at starbucks) that was 20 limpira ($1) and then took the bus home. Total spent $9 that is just the hair cut in the states. actually I gave some kids some money too they beg alot down here. Was only about 10 limpira or so.

Have you seen the Red Sox (not the team but the players) They have been going crazy JV with a grandslam for the USA Big Papi with a few homers for the Dominican. That kid from Canada with a in the park home run seriously. The defense Cora has been showing. I really hope they can put that together in the sox uniform and win another I don't think I can go another 86 seriously I would like to have my child born when the Sox are on top and I don't mean white.  well I am off to watch some T.V. and study before bed. Don't forget Soprano's starts again tomorrow on HBO

What's New

Not much new I'm just at work getting ready for bed. I just got done watching Walk the Line. Kelly you were right that movie was good. Becky I can't wait till I'm home to watch it with you.

Well I will be home in less than a month and it feels like the first few months flew by but this last month feels like it has been dragging on forever. This place isn't that bad I have an ok working environment the weather is nice and the pool and all that is good. But I would rather be in snow up to my ears freezing as long as my wife was with me I miss her so much. You figure I would be use to it by now. I have been away from home going on 8 years in Dec. but this time its not the same. Don't get me wrong I miss everyone in MA every time I leave My mother, father, beautiful god daughters, and now Bobby and Danny are home everyone knows I love my family. But the way I miss Becky is different. Its funny I never really liked the movie Jerry Maguire but that deaf guy in the elevator had it right she does complete me. Its weird but so true. I think everyone has someone out there and some people find them and some people don't I'm so glad I found her. Ok enough of this I don't know why when I get on here and I start to type I let my heart start talking. lol look back at some of my posts the lyrics I have posted and so on but hey that's what comes out.

Well I came on here to post some pictures of when I got my medal awarded to me and say how good that movie was but I got off track along the way. So I'm going to say bye for now and I will write again tomorrow. ~Take Care God Bless Always Ryan

Feeling Ecstatic
Hearing Grillz (Ft. Paul Wall, Gipp, Ali)

Not a bad day!

The pic isn't from today but it was from a day we ruined 2 helmets and an airpack in the live fires. I love my job!! We did have a fire today though.  I was on the truck that responded. My crew put it out before any help got there. I was proud of them (my crew) they did a really good job they even called a helicopter to see how big it was. We used a tanker to resupply  the truck 3 times and made sure it was completely out. Then we had training and ripped apart a jeep I should have a pic soon from that. So it was a good day i got to do what I love fight fire and break stuff how cool! I should be home in MA sometime in April for a few days then in NJ for the rest of the days before coming back here. Well I am going to try to keep up with this I know I say that alot but I mean it now. Talk to you all soon.

Feeling Happy
Hearing Jesus take the wheel Carrie Underwood

Well yesterday I discovered that I am better than I thought. I am now able to give intravenous injections ( that's IV) yup I didn't think I was going to do it but I did it. I was more nervous when my partner was giving me his. I think I was more excited than nervous when I was giving it. It was really cool the only part I didn't like when I got mine done is how they checked it they drop the saline bag lower than the catheter and watch the tubing fill with my blood (not a fan at all of that) but it was still kinda cool. Anyway I know its not much but I'm still excited about it. They took pictures once I get them I will post them on here. Well I have to run I have football practice today so I need to hit the gym. I hope tomorrow is nice I want to have a pool day. Take Care I hope all is well everyone. Adios ~Ryan

Jesus Take the Wheel

I'm going to try to do this again everytime I tried it never saved so I am giving it another shot. I know it been a little while but hey like I said I'm going to start it back up. I'm going to start with another song I just bought the CD. Carrie Underwood from american Idol I seen the video on CMT and I liked it so I am going to share it. Also the song I'm listneing can be found on my myspace page check it out http://www.myspace.com/34160115  its hard metal but its a good song.  Anyway here is thes lryics to Jesus Take the Wheel with everyting going on lately I think its almost fitting. If this goes through ok I will add some pics from here hopefully and start posting again. Hope to here from you all soon.

"Jesus Take The Wheel"

She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy with the baby in the backseat
Fifty miles to go and she was running low on faith and gasoline
It's been a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention
She was going way to fast
Before she knew it she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was sooo scared
She threw her hands up in the air

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this all on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel

It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the backseat sleeping like a rock
And for the first time in a long time
She bowed her head to pray
She said I'm sorry for the way
I've been living my life
I know I've got to change
So from now on tonight

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on

Oh, Jesus take the wheel
Oh, I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
From this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel
Oh, take it, take it from me
Oh, why, oh

Feeling Sad
Hearing Kenny chesney

Who Youd' Be Today

Well I haven't written cause there hasn't been anything new to write about. But now I lay in bed and can't sleep. The kenny chesney song plays in my head over and over. So I figured I would just post it and let you read the lyrics yourself.

"Who You'd Be Today"

Sunny days seem to hurt the most.
I wear the pain like a heavy coat.
I feel you everywhere I go.
I see your smile, I see your face,
I hear you laughin' in the rain.
I still can't believe you're gone.

It ain't fair: you died too young,
Like the story that had just begun,
But death tore the pages all away.
God knows how I miss you,
All the hell I've been through,
Just knowin' no-one could take your place.
An' sometimes I wonder,
Who'd you be today?

Would you see the world? Would you chase your dreams?
Settle down with a family,
I wonder what would you name your babies?
Some days the sky's so blue,
I feel like I can talk to you,
An' I know it might sound crazy.

It ain't fair: you died too young,
Like the story that had just begun,
But death tore the pages all away.
God knows how I miss you,
All the hell I've been through,
Just knowin' no-one could take your place.
An' sometimes I wonder,
Who you'd be today?

Sunny days seem to hurt the most.
I wear the pain like a heavy coat.
The only thing that gives me hope,
Is I know I'll see you again some day.
