Joseph Kony is in Garamba
Joseph Kony the leader of the Lords Resistance Army is hiding out in Garamba. It's estimated that his group is around 120 including family and members. Kony and his rebels can no longer get food, so retaliation must be soon because his army is vulnerable.
Sudanese counterpart, Abdelrahim Mohamed Hussein and Ugandan Defence Minister Amama Mbabazi desire a coordinated approach between the Uganda People's Defence Forces, the Sudan People's Liberation Army, the Congolese and Sudanese national armies, and the United Nations mission in the DRC.
"If the regional powers, governments and the international community allow us to enter Congo, we would be more than willing to help, because the LRA certainly poses a threat to regional peace and security" said the Ugandan army's Ankunda.
Parliament passed the Amnesty Amendment Bill (2003), which excludes chief Joseph Kony from eligibility.
Over two million people or 90 percent of the population of Uganda is forced to live in camps. The Lords Resistance Army has been fighting against the Uganda government for almost two decades now. It's time for a stronger united front to move into Garamba and get this guy now. I hope the coordinated approach to arrest Kony and his rebels is successful. They're completely confidant Kony is in Garamba. There are almost two million people living in displaced homes and camps. It's time that they be able to return home and begin to live a life without fear.
