Feeling Embarrassed

Embarrassing!!!

Horrible, just horrible.

The Ravens 19-14 loss to the Bills just shows that this team is definitely a pretender, rather than a contender. The silly thing is, that if Baltimore had won the game yesterday, they would now be in first place in the AFC North, and even with the loss, is still only one game out of the lead. However, it is just a mirage. At 1-3 on the road, the Ravens just don't have the defense it needs to support such a woeful offense. Blame can be toss around like a hot potato, but I am choosing to place it squarely on the slumpning shoulder of Coach Brian Billick. He just hasn't learned anything about this team since its season-opening loss at Cincinnati. Once again, choosing to pass three straight times when they only needed one yard late in the 4th quarter with the game on the line has all of Baltimore scratching their heads and trying to understand what this "offensive guru" sees that us "clueless" fans must be missing. Even 24 hours later, I am still seething about a game that although we played so poorly, could still have been won with a little better play calling and offfensive production. Now, this means that in order to finish 10-6 at a minimum, the Ravens will need to go 2-2 on the road and beat either Indy or the Pats at home in their remaining games. Doesn't look promising, does it Ravens fans? This one will hurt for awhile, as the Ravens now have two weeks to feel the sting and then heal in time to go into Pittsburgh for a Monday Night Football matchup on November 5th. Piece of cake, right? Wrong!
