National Stage is Ravens Achilles Heel

Ravens host Patriots on Monday Night Football!

I thought they outlawed public executions a long time ago!? While the Ravens have saved their worst efforts of this miserable season for the prime time stage, the Patriots have played as well as even they could when the entire nation is watching. The combination of these two trends is scary. However, like the convict being sent to the gas chamber, I am pretty much at peace with what should probably occur between 8:30-11:30pm Monday night.

While it won't be as painless as it should be, I will take it like a man. I'll sit there in my seats, freezing my butt off, shaking my head at each and every painful moment. However, I will not scream out, shed a tear or thrash around like a sissy. At the end, I will be still and motionless, with a peaceful look on my blank face. For I have reached out and touched the hand of....what the hell am I talking about!? I plan to arrive early, stay late and scream my head off like a fricking banshee! I will root, scream and gyrate like a maniac for my Ravens, retaining a glimmer of hope up until the final whistle blows.

Here's hoping the Patriots play uncharacteristicly poor football, loaded up with turnovers, off target passes, poor tackling and lackluster efforts, while the Ravens turn these turnovers into early points, big plays and inspired defense that keeps Ray Lewis and his buds dancing and gesturing to the heavens after every great play. The Ravens will shock the world!!!

Ring, ring...time to wake up!

Patriots roll over Ravens on their way to an undefeated season and take theor place atop the record books as the best team in NFL history: 44-10

Ouch!
