Well, what kind of photographer would I be if I didn't post more photos huh? When I started this journal, it was suppose to be a photo journal but I got side tracked with my photography. As I mentioned before, I recently got my very first digital camera and I love it. No more film to buy. No more film to get processed. Can you imagine how much money I'm saving? Lots. I was always buying film. I still have about 30 to 40 rolls that still needs processing. I'll get to those eventually....I think. Meanwhile, I'm having the time of my life trying to figure out this wonderful new camera I have. I played around with the Macro feature some too. The only thing I miss is the different lenses that my Canon SLR has. I have a great telephoto lens and a wide angle macro lens. I guess there are equivalents for my new camera. After all, the description does call it a SLR-type. Okay enough talk.....

I don't think I mentioned it before but I got a new puppy German Shepherd whom I named Heidi. She's a vibrant, fiesty little girl. Today we had an accident in the backyard. I have no idea how this happened but my guess is that she was playing with my older dog and fell. She started to cry and yelp. I brought her inside and she was really limping and still crying out a little. I then took her the Animal ER and $567 dollars later we have this.......a fratured leg bone near the shoulder joint. Poor baby. It just broke my heart.

4th of July Fireworks

It had been raining practically all day in Jacksonville. I had already made up my mind that I wasn't going to attend this years fireworks festivities......but as any avid shutterbug will tell you, the photographer in me had other ideas. I grabbed my camera (oh, I finally got a digital camera) and hit the road with exactly 20 minutes until countdown. In my rush to leave the house I forgot about my tripod so of course the shots came out shaky, even with the image stabilizer thingie my camera comes equiped with. As a matter of fact, I'm still learning how to use this camera. It's a Canon Powershot S3 IS.

Anyway, here are a few shots.....

I just back from seeing what I think is the best movie I've seen in a long time(I don't know for how long) but this movie was great!

Wow....been a long time since I posted anything huh. Anyway, John Cusak was superb in this film. He plays an unbelieving paranormal writer that goes to various haunted places and stay for only one night to record what happens for his books....

I know this is a day late but here it is anyway. I had to go back in the archives and pull this photo up. These two lazy bums are my dogs Jeri and Sandy. They love to hang out by that dead tree stump. There is a hole where another tree used to be and that's the hole where Jeri likes to lay.
