ho hum
A little rain is falling here. I love it when it rains...just wish Michael was home today so we could be lazy lovers and stay in bed all day. LOL

I have become a slave to my wood floors. NOTHING is working. The shine that was on them when we moved in is now a milky haze and it drives me NUTS! You can't see it unless the sun hits it just right but I know it is there. I have tried a handful of solutions and nothing, nothing works to my satisfaction.
It pisses me off that the landlord has no idea what his cleaning lady used on these floors. You would think he would want me to take care of them to the best of my ability. It can't be cheap to fix wood floors once they are damaged. I even went to Home Depot yesterday to see what I could buy...came home with a product called "Bruce" that they recommended and I think it sucks. Sigh...

I am loving my haircut. It is so easy to manage. I can drive with all the windows down and not worry one bit. I just shake it out and run my fingers thru it when I get out and it looks great. I thought Michael would hate it but he said I looked hot when he saw it. LOL! Gotta love that.

Thinking of going back on weight watchers. Just thinking about it though. I haven't quite gotten to the point where I am ready to just do it. Ya know? So many places to eat and so few are diet friendly. LOL

Gabby entered my Mom's recipe for Texas Sheet Cake in our local fair. It was a junior bake off and guess what? She won first place!!!! She was so excited. She gets a ribbon and some cash too! My Mom was thrilled to hear she entered, then used one of her recipes and then won! We call her out little Betty Crocker now.

Way to go Gabby on the cake.... and oh that sounds so romantic to be in bed all day with hubby during a cozy rain day... was wondering if you have tried Murphy's oil soap on the floors but on second thought it might make it too slippery.... glad you like your new hair cut.... sounds adorable.... I would love to try weight watchers... have a good weekend.

I have had wood floors in a couple of different houses. I don't really know a lot about them, but I do suspect that your problem is not what you are doing to the floors, but what was done to them before you came. I suspect they have had some type of wax solution used on them. The things you are trying are reacting to the wax and turning milky. If you can get access to a buffer, you could try that without using any solutions. I did this to mine when a contractor had cleaning service cleanup after he had done some work. They apparently used a wax based solution, which looked terrific..... for a while. Then everything I tried just made it worse. I buffed the floors and they came back to a pretty good shine.

My neighbors and I went to eh Strwberry Festival. i officailly tooka day off from weight watchers. Didn't ever say the word "diet". Neighbor Nancy uses something on her wood foors she swers is the best stuff she ever had. And you know what a beating Trailer Park living does to floors. I'll ask her what the stuff is.
