I truly love this picture, and the caption. When I was a girl, I somehow acquired a turtle as a pet. It was fairly good-sized -- not one of the little ones. I thought it was fascinating! However, a neighborhood dog put an end to that poor little critter. (My mother insisted that it stay outside, but I'm not sure there was any other option, anyway.) I was very sad. Then about 16 years ago, my late husband and I were out on a boat off of Waikiki Beach and saw a huge turtle swimming a ways down in the water, not all that far away. Amazing! What an interesting creature a turtle is, in any size!
