Tadpole cam

As you can see the tadpoles are doing well.  None have died and they are growing!  Legs are sprouting and eyes are starting to appear.

We feed them goldfish flakes and lettuce.  They love both.  Gabby pulls some fresh water grass from the pond every few days and we keep that in the water as well.  They like to eat it and float on the smaller pieces.  I call it water grass but I really don't know what it is.

I change the water daily.  Cleaner than the pond water I am sure.  We use distilled water and have read if the water is dirty they can die so that is why we keep it fresh.

Very hard to get a close up of them cause they are moving around so much.

Oh and they are on the window sill next to our strawberry plants!  YUM!  Don't have any berries yet but they are getting close.  We take the tads out of the window when it gets hot, but early morning and evening I put them up there.

They remind me of a film they showed us in High School Health class. LOL   I hope you get a few days warning before they suddenly become frogs...otherwise you'll wake up and find frogs all over the house. But seriously...what a fun thing for you & Gabby to do.  Remember to update us.    Linda in WA http://journals.aol.com/lsfp1960/LindasWorld/
