Thrift Store Find

My thrift store find!  I wasn't planning on going to the base thrift store today but I was at the post office and it was right next door so I thought...what the heck.  I am glad I did now.  I saw a box of glasses...5 bucks.  There were 18 of them, ten tall and 8 short ones.  I have decent glasses at home but over some of our moves a few have been broken and this has left me with an incomplete set and a few mis-matched ones.

I decided I would get these and get rid of the ones I had remaining at home.  I don't have enough cupboard space for both.  I like these cause the glass has a green tint to it which will match my dishes perfectly.  I took them up to the register and they rang up for 2 BUCKS!  I thought it was a mistake but sure enough they were on sale!  WOW!  Dad would be proud of his thrifty girl!  Dontcha just love a good deal?

Great buy. Reminds me of my Mother In Law's house. When all the kids were little we'd have Sunday dinner at her house every Sunday. By Christmas she had always mismatched glasses cause so many had gotten broken.  It was kind of a running joke..."Who's getting Mom a set of glasses this year?" LL
LONG F'ng day. 9 hours at hospital. Mlre later. Love ya BFF, Barb
