Empty nest...

LOL.  I don't really have an empty nest but now that the frog babies and the egg babies are gone I feel I need something else to care for.  So....Gabby and I went and bought some baby veggies.  :)

A Banana Pepper tree, a tomato plant and two strawberry plants.  The pepper tree already had several good size peppers on it that were ready for picking!  The tomato plant has some little green toms that will be ready one day but not yet...and the strawberries are still in hiding.

It was fun picking them out.  I cannot wait to see some goodies on our plants! Any tips on caring for these guys?

My tip on growing vegetables is to not let ME touch them. ;) Ian does all the gardening here, except the tomatoes, and I bet he would be better at those too than I am. I will stick to raising baby chicks. I seem to be better at that! Kelly

The Eggies are gone already :...( My! they grew up so quickly. Since we live in an apratment, I have an indoor rose bush that has begun to climb up the window. Something to care for while Mark's in Iraq.

My tip?  Read the paperwork ... sunshine and keep moist, but not soaking is usually the best tip for plants.
