This and that...
A few things to mention but not feeling creative so I am just gonna give you a list of things going on and such...
1. The big play is tonight. Gabby is Dorothy in the school's version of the Wizard of Oz.
2. Gabby recieved an award the other night at school for excellence in language arts and a certificate signed by the President for outstanding academic achievement! It was a huge deal and she got a smoking trophy! We were so proud. Above are some pics...one she is with her school Principal...is he cute or what?
3. We are adjusting quite well to having Michael home again...I was pretty wacked out this past weekend with my vertigo and it was sooooo nice to have him here taking care of me.
4. One of my Mom's bestest friends in the world is dying. She has had a long battle with cancer and it has come to an end...she was given a few days to a few weeks left to live. We are all very close and I grew up with their kids...I've been asked to do another "remembrance" dvd for the memorial services. It will be tough. I did one a few months ago for my Mom's cousin who also died from cancer and it was one of the hardest projects to work on...being close and she being family.
5. I have a little secret. I have mixed feelings about sharing it...I am having surgery June 4th. Everything is okay and everything should go fine...pretty straight forward procedure. My parents know and a few select friends... I'm just not totally ready to talk about it with the world...in time I am sure I will, but for now I just wanted to let you know so when I am not around for a bit you won't wonder where I am. It has been an absolute blessing for Michael to come home in time for all this as I may need his help during my recovery.
Part of me has felt like I should write everyone I know and tell them how much they have meant to me, that I love them, etc...but I am confident I will wake up after surgery and everything will be fine...so no need for farewell "just in case" letters. :)
6. I found a tree!! Also pictured above. Remember my chairs I got one day...the wooden ones that someone was throwing out and it was pouring rain? Well the other morning I saw a tree someone was throwing out. I made Gabby hop out of the car (we were in Michael's little escort) and get it. OMG we laughed and laughed as she tried to pick it up (very heavy) and then try to cram it in the front seat. I had to drop her and her friend off and school with it in the car. It was like a jungle with that thing in there and we all had branches and leaves in our face the whole way. But it is nice! Needs a little dusting.
7. Have had a few more peppers and my cherry tomatos are getting big. Still green but getting bigger. Have found one more worm but no more in a few days.
8. I've lost 15 pounds in the last 3 weeks...on a diet. :) Yahoooo!
That's it!!!

Well, you pretty much wrapped up all the news in one entry. That's was quite an update. I'm sorry to hear about your moms friend. It's always hard to loose someone close. I'd like to know how you go about doing a remberence DVD. Take care & continue enjoying the "man" being home. Watch your mailbox. Linda in WA http://journals.aol.com/lsfp1

I've been watching what i eat off and on since November and had lost 18lbs...now back down to 17lbs...since I fell off my diet train about 2 months ago...ugh! I don't want to gain it all back, but am getting so discouraged with watching what I eat...and just being stuck at 17-18 lb loss....I want to get to my first goal of 20lbs so bad....it's hard... You go girl keep up the good work!
Hahaha...I love when you tell stories of picking up great finds on the side of the road....that tree is too cute!
Have a good weekend
