I got to talk to my Michael yesterday...did I mention this yet? I don't think I have. He was given a whole day off and I know that must have killed him. He is the type that needs to stay very busy...gets bored easily and having time off in the middle of nowhere is like torture for him.

He sounded different. A little quieter, a little sad...I asked if he was okay and of course he said yes...but I could hear lonely in his voice. It just breaks my heart. At least I still have Gabby with me...he is all alone. Sure he has people he works with but nobody there that loves him, that can hug him and make him feel good.

The absence of touch really sucks! I remember the time he was in Korea for a year...I was in a new town with a new baby and the one thing I really missed the most was just having someone to touch me, hug me and show me affection. I'd give anything to hug my Michael right now...it's hard to describe what lonely sounds like but I heard it loud and clear on my end of the phone.

Sending you my love baby....I'm so very proud of you and I am counting the days til you come home.

I can't tell you my secret until after this weekend...I don't want to jinx anything. Nobody has guessed it. It doesn't really have to do with me...just sorta linked to me. It's nothing major but for me and the othes involved it is exciting.

I had a dream last night that Michael and I got married again. It was strange, funny, sad, strange, very very strange. His family was there and they had like a million little kids who were totally out of control and they were all drinking RED koolaid around me...and one was wearing a sponge bob costume (and he was like 18 yrs old). And the funniest part of all....they were poor white trash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Um....Michael is hispanic. LOL LOL

Whew...I don't even want to try and analize that one. Let's just blame it on the chocolate milk I drank right before bed and call it a night! :)

But I have to admit I hardly watch the news. I just find it too depressing. Tonight I had it on and the only reason I am watching is to see Hulk Hogan. They are promising an interview with him so I am glued to the tv.

While waiting for Hulk a story came on about a local mailman...they call him the "lawn mowing mailman". Oh my gosh what a wonderful story, this mailman said he was walking across a lawn one day to deliver the mail and was thinking "I wish this guy would cut his grass!" And that is when he said he heard God say "why don't you cut it for him."

Hey when God speaks...you better listen. So he started out with one lawn and I think he said he does 25 now and all for free!!! Mostly seniors who just need a helping hand. We need more people like this mailman in the world.

Click here for the story....the story I found online was done in 2007 but it aired again tonight on the tv. He's been doing this for a while.

Well it's about time...that's all I gotta say about that! LOL

New Jersey Beach Town Scraps Rules on Kegs, Rude Gestures

By WAYNE PARRY,AP

BELMAR, N.J. (AP) - Revelers in this Jersey shore party town can now legally drink from unregistered beer kegs and give people the finger.

Belmar, once called "Fort Lauderdale North" for its reputation as a raucous party enclave, has scrapped laws relating to kegs and flipping the bird, on the grounds that they were difficult to enforce.

"I'm not sure anyone even knew that making obscene gestures was illegal," Mayor Ken Pringle said. "Right after we send out our tax bills, I tend to see a few."

The repeals come as the borough has clearly gained the upper hand against rowdy renters and restored some of the quality of life that was routinely shattered by out-of-control keggers in the 1980s and 90s.

"People that have a hard time obeying our strict rules seem to have gone to other beach towns where the rules are not as tough," he said. "Most of the people who are renting here who are deciding they can behave will not have a problem."

Belmar, on the central Jersey coast about 10 minutes south of Asbury Park, has long been a favorite spot for young people looking for summer fun. The town has 7,000 year-round residents, but the population swells to 60,000 after Memorial Day.

In 1990, there were over 1,200 summer rental units in Belmar; now there are just over 300. Lots that once held ramshackle party huts now boast $800,000 homes whose residents are not shy about calling the police to complain about noise.

Belmar has a slew of strict regulations for summer renters that include limits on how many people can cram into one building and when they can put their trash out at the curb. The town also has a "zero tolerance" policy for noise violations, and even leaving empty bottles or beer cups on the porch overnight.

"The cops are relentless here," said Matt Errichiello, a 23-year-old from Haworth who is in his third year of renting a house near the beach with friends. "At night, if you even speak loudly, you get a ticket. The rules are ridiculous."

One rule that's no longer on the books related to raising one's middle finger, or the many variants thereof. However objectionable it might be to some people, such a gesture is Constitutionally protected free speech, said Pringle, who is an attorney.

He said the borough was contacted by civil libertarians who questioned the legality of several municipal ordinances.

The ban on "obscene gestures," which never spelled out exactly what was and was not covered, was overly subjective, Pringle agreed. No one can recall anyone being prosecuted for violating it. Another law prohibiting people from loitering in alleyways also was axed.

And a beer keg tagging law, which Belmar enacted last year with great fanfare, withered and died after the state Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control said a handful of similar local laws enacted around the state requiring beer kegs to have the name, address and phone number of the person renting them was unconstitutional.

In summer rentals near the Belmar beach, the repeals are being hailed by the party crowd, some of whom consider the right to raise their middle finger in public a newly won freedom to cherish this Independence Day.

"I'm giving people the finger if it's legal, absolutely," laughed Carlos Padilla, a 23-year-old from Dumont wearing a sleeveless white T-shirt and gold chain. He's renting a house for the season with a bunch of pals - all of whom were drinking beer from red plastic cups and listening to rap music on the front porch one night this week.
