Continued from Vegas Weekend Part I: Trouble for Britney
Part II: Paris Party Triumph
Fun and nothing but fun was the mantra Paris Hilton stood by for her masterminded 21st birthday celebration for boy-toy lover Stavros Niarchos. Even anxious Gaming Control agents couldn’t stop the fun when they interrupted a Saturday dinner party at TAO long enough to double-check his drivier license -- along with everybody else in the group -- to ensure he really was 21!!
Although they were staying in the penthouse bowling alley suite of the Hard Rock, their non-stop marathon began with dinner Friday night at FIX restaurant in the Bellagio. Almost 30 of his friends had flown in from Hollywood with the happy couple for the dinner prepared by chef Brian Massie. American Idol host Ryan Seacrest (see photo album) and actor Mickey Rourke, who were dining with real-estate mogul Laurence Hallier elsewhere in FIX, went over to wish happy birthday when a giant 3 feet high cake, decorated in honor of his favorite hobby and sport of kite surfing, was brought to the table (see photo album).
After Paris gifted the bearded and sunglassed Stavros with a top-line digital camera (see photo album), he began snapping photos of all his friends. She at one point had to crawl on the floor under the table to get back to his sid - and then she danced in the banquette’s booth. Everybody raved how beautiful she looked with new glam-hair from stylist Laurent and colorist Michael Boychuck. She wore a bright blue peek-a-boob dress and for Stavros and Paris, it was a cavalcade of kisses!
After a short time in the Light nightclub where they danced together around one of the club’s stripper poles, they moved onto TAO in the Venetian and joined Star Wars actor Hayden Christiansen who was celebrating his own 25th birthday at the hot nightspot. The night at TAO turned into one of the hippest, fun nights Vegas has ever seen. At 1AM, as “Go Shorty, it’s your birthday” blared, 10 gorgeous TAO cocktail girls produced a large chocolate cake and sparklers in champagne bottles for Hayden. Right afterwards Paris, Stavros and friends joined the VIP area with crazy MTV star Steve-O. Paris and Stavros danced as resident DJ Reach spun “Hung Up” by Madonna and then ironically, “I’m a Slave 4 U” by Britney Spears! When “Sweet Child o’ Mine” from Guns ‘n’ Roses played, Steve-O danced with the go-go dancers, grabbed a mic and announced Stavros’ birthday. The crowd went wild when a spotlight shone on Stavros and Paris dancing in lip-lock and bottles of Cristal arrived in every direction!
Despite the late night, or should I say early morning, the contented couple were back out ready for more celebrating on Saturday night. Sister Nicky, with boyfriend Kevin Connolly from Entourage, flew in for the elaborate birthday feast for 60 people which had an invitation in the form of Stavros’ driving license to prove he was now legally 21 and complying with Nevada law to drink in a Vegas nightclub.
After dinner they moved back up to TAO, the ultimate nightclub facility in Vegas with NFL star Tom Brady and 7th Heaven star David Gallagher. The highlight of the night was when party-organizers Jason Strauss and Jeff Beacher brought out a 50 lb. multi-colored cake with 21 sparklers and a slide show made up from photos at parties the couple have attended while dating for many months. Paris then grabbed the mic and thanked the capacity crowd for joining their celebration.
At 3AM, the party posse loaded up into five stretch limos and caravanned back to the Hard Rock where the TAO and Beacher’s Madhouse team had organized yet another party in the penthouse where they were staying. This time it was a mini-madhouse complete with performances by Tiny Kiss and the Madhouse Village People. Even a monkeyand a goat couldn’t distract the 15 “obese 300 lb.” go-go dancers who had everybody staring in amazement!! The guests urged Paris to sing a few songs from her new album before the three-hour event ended with her politely turning on the lights and asking everybody politely to leave so they could get some sleep!!!!! How they did it, I’ll never know, but they all flew back to Los Angeles yesterday afternoon with Paris having the last word, “It was awesome. It was exactly what I wanted: fun from start to finish. Everybody said it was great and couldn’t have been better. We just had the greatest time and he’ll never forget turning 21.”
