SECRET PLANS FOR WORLDS LARGEST ROCK 'N' ROLL
EMPORIUM REVEALED IN LUXE LIFE WORLD EXCLUSIVE AND
SUPERSTAR BONO MAYBE HEADED TO THE STRIP PLUS
THE GORGEOUS LINGERIE SUPERSTARS TELL ALL.
MORE THAN A NIGHTCLUB
- AN ENTIRE ROCK COMPLEX!
It’s the most closely-guarded secret in Vegas, but Luxe Life can reveal, for the first time, that plans are on the drawing board for the world’s largest rock and roll music complex to be built right at the center of the Strip. The concept will become part of the giant Harrah’s corporate plans for a makeover of their properties that run on the east side from the Imperial Palace, Harrah’s itself, the adjoining Flamingo and possibly down to the Barbary Coast (home of Drais after-hours nightclub) which is owned by the rival Coast Casino’s operation. Harrah’s genius, CEO Gary Loveman, hopes to announce the super complex plans to shareholders next month. It will tie all the giant’s properties together in a unique architectural design to have all passing Strip foot-traffic steered on a walkway through all the hotel properties - so tourists wont by-pass or miss any of each hotel’s attractions. One top hotel executive told me: “You can think of how MGM’s new self-contained Project City Center will finish up and that’s how the new Harrah’s city block will also look and feel but way in advance.”
Here’s the other mind-blowing and musical secrets: It’s now definite that Harrah’s will implode and
demolish the ageing Imperial Palace
property within the next two years- and maybe in a much shorter time period.
I’ve also confirmed that my friend and neighbor, Motley Crue
lead singer, Vince Neil, has been signed by Harrah’s president Don Marrandino
to open his own tattoo-parlor with Harrah’s in space right on the Strip
frontage. Vince's tattoo parlor will simply be titled, Vince Neil Ink.
Another Marrandino pal from his days as president atthe
Hard Rock,Sammy Hagar, is bringing in his Cabo Wabo playground party this
summer to the sister Caesars amphitheater across the Strip as a dry run for a
possible permanent location at Harrah’s too. Toby Keith’s Bar and Grill is
already in place!
More surprising though is that rock superstar Bono himself
has been talking with Harrah’s about a business venture that will makeover the
old-fashioned properties for a whole new younger generation of customers.
During the interim makeover period, legendary Wayne Newton
will move over from the Flamingo’s sister showroom where Toni Braxton has just
been signed as a resident headliner and will start a short run at the Clint
Holmes theater at Harrah’s
Its all part of Harrah’s brainstorming committee of forward thinkers that owning music- and CD superstars - be it rock or country – will give them Strip dominance appealing to younger demographics who have to be wooed and courted as the future casino customers of tomorrow. But the big big news is that the world’s largest rock music nightclub- encompassing the early days from Elvis Presley through to today’s mega stars inside the world’s largest rock emporium is also planned as an integral part of the entire development. My sources say that my friends who run the Pure nightclub empire that also includes Tangerine, Coyote Ugly, the Havana Cigar bar and the about to be opened sushi-sashimi Asian themed exotic eatery at Treasure island in August will be closely involved in the giant rock capitol complex. Top-secret real-estate negotiations are continuing as we post the exclusive news of this extraordinary new Strip development -and as usual you can count on Luxe Life to bring you all the details fast and furious as soon as the contracts are signed!!!
HEAVENLY ANGELS & DEVILISH STRIPTEASE

I promised that Luxe Life would play catch-up on our exclusive interviews with striptease queen Dita Von Teese and her Victoria’s Secret model angels Karolina Kurkova and Izabel Goulart. They were all in Vegas for the 1st anniversary of the new “love and lust” concept mega lingerie store at Caesars Palace and to celebrate the publication of Dita’s new “Art of the Tease” photo-book. Afterwards they partied at Jet nightclub in The Mirage with a midnight performance. Here’s the highlights of our exclusive one-on-one interviews:
RL: So Dita, twice in the same week, to France and then back to Vegas, because you were at Cannes and now you are back in Vegas.
Dita: I am just enjoying all the travel and I love France. I would go to the ends of the earth to see new places. I am just enjoying the adventure and the ride and I am appreciating the fact that I am in demand more than anything. Its getting faster and faster so I hope it keeps going. You have to think of everything as your 15 minutes and just appreciate it.
RL: Yeah, but Burlesque is a forever thing isn’t it?
Dita: Yes it is timeless. It is a winning formula. Nearly naked girls, feathers, and rhinestones, it is a winning combo; it has been popular for hundreds of year.
RL: Other than jumping out of a cake for Hugh Hefner’s 80th birthday what other surprises are you going to pull for his celebration?
Dita: It is hard to believe he is 80 because he is so handsome and charming still and he keeps going, he loves to party, and I think he is incredibly magnetic and amazing. So I am excited about doing his party. I am not sure what surprises I am going to pull out of my hat yet but it is France, so anything goes. I may do a little feather fan dancing when I come out of the birthday cake.
RL: Tell me a little about your new book.
Dita: It is a 2-sided book: one is the fetish and the other is art of striptease, The words in it are my story mixed with my history and burlesque history but it is mostly a photo book, so you can have it as a coffee table book. Victoria’s Secret is that they are carrying it in their flagship stores, which is really exciting. I am a big fan of Victoria’s Secret and lingerie in general.
CHAT ROOM
Then it was time to chat with gorgeous blonde Karolina Kurkova:

RL: What’s the secret to being a Victoria’s Secret angel?
KK: You have to ask them what they see in me. I see a girl, who is bubbly and likes to have fun, I love to smile, I work really hard, I like to create beautiful things, and I like to learn. I guess when people see me they know I am from outside Prague in the Czech Republic and have blonde hair, long legs and blue eyes and followed in Ivana Trumps footsteps.
RL: Maybe you will marry a real estate tycoon?
KK: You never know. When you find love, it doesn’t matter who he is.
RL: When you were a little girl, did you grow up wanting to be a model and were you the ugliest girl in the class?
KK: My dream wasn’t to be a model, I didn’t know anything about modeling or fashion. I come from a small town. I was a sporty girl. I played theater, I went to art school. I wasn’t into makeup or girly stuff. , I wasn’t too tomboyish. a little because I loved sports, and I still love sports. I love the fights, I love hockey and basketball. It is something I grew up with. My father was a professional basketball player so I was really into that, I kind of never took myself seriously, I was always not like a serious girl. I like to make fun of myself.
RL: Were you an ugly ducking or just awkward because of your height?
KK: I was picked on for being really tall and skinny. You know when you are developing and growing up a woman, it is awkward. I had a lot of friends. I was a funny girl. I wasn’t shy. People would whisper and point at me. So I never wore skirts I always wore pants and sneakers to hide my long legs and my height. I bent down sometimes. But now when I go back home I make the people who were mean to me pay for it.
RL: If Victoria’s Secret is unknown in Prague how did you wind up an “angel”?
KK: A friend of mine took pictures sent them to a modeling agency without telling me. First of all I wanted to kill my friend, second of all I thought they were crazy, me a model? I don’t think so. I was in school, I didn’t really take it seriously. I never thought I would do something. Then I came to New York to study English and I went to an agency in New York. I went to see Anna Winter, the chief editor at Vogue and she kind of took over my life. I did her cover at 16, and that is when my life all happened and changed. RL: What do you think on your first visit to Vegas when you landed and saw all the lights? What did you think of this?
KK: It is a city that never sleeps; it is amazing, the lights, big hotels, cars, people, music, signs, and billboards. It is kind of crazy. In one city there are so many people. Each hotel here has more guests staying in it each night than people living in my town back home That is crazy. That is fun. I guess that is why people come here. They come here to have fun; it is a city that never sleeps. I think that is great. We should all have fun in life. Whatever makes you happy, do it.
I wrapped up with a quick chat with beautiful Brazilian brunette, Izabel:

IG: It is such a pleasure being an angel; it is such a big deal in America and in the whole world. Everybody knows that Victoria’s Secret models are very honored to be a part of it. We never really know what it is that makes us a Victoria’s Secrets angel because people look at you and see something you don’t see in yourself. I would say that I am very funny and I have a lot of personality. Maybe that is what they like, they like someone that has a good body, but has a personality as well. You know we can talk and we do have a normal private life outside of being a model. Victoria’s Secret just got to Brazil and our fashion show was just shown on national TV there so people are recognizing my job and they are happy and I am pretty happy too. But I love living in America. The first time I saw snow was here, and for me it is such a precious place. Everything that has happened in my life is because of America so I really love America.
RL: And what do you think of the little as Vegas that you have seen?
IG: The little that I have seen, I was like WOW! When I got to the airport I saw all of these buildings and all the colors. Then I went to my room, and it was fantastic and huge and all luxurious. Vegas is a fantasy in you mind and I am ready to see the real deal and the lights that are Vegas.
RL: So when you were young and in school, did you think that you would be one of the 10 most beautiful women in the world?
IG: Never, ever, ever, ever. I used to put 2-3 pairs of jeans on top of each other so it would give me a little bit more body. I used to go to school and nobody would look at me, and that is the best time to look at girls and boys and flirt. I had no one. They never talked to me, they never flirted with me, I was the skinniest, and the tallest and nothing was good on me. Being a Victoria’s Secret model everything changed. I went overnight from being unattractive, to being the butterfly. Everything happened too fast and my life went from water to wine. It was a huge transformation in every single way.
Time to go back to Victoria’s Secrets store tonight in Caesars from 6-8PM for the girls’ night out party -- complete with free gifts and beauty makeovers
STALLONE’S CELEBRATION

Top Vegas dancers helped “decorate” the Curve nightclub for Sly Stallone’s hush-hush 60th birthday bash for close-knit family and showbiz friends - we gave you the advance word about it exclusively on Friday. Some of the Fantasy Girls from Luxor played “cocktail waitresses” and after their gig at Pure, the Pussycat Dolls rolled in a bed to use as a stage for their dance show. Others who turned up at the heavy-security guarded Curve nightclub in the Aladdin included his brother, Frank Stallone, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger with wife, Maria, husky Tom Jones who sang the official ‘Happy Birthday’ salute, real-estate mogul Donald Trump with wife Melanie, John Travolta with wife Kelly Preston, Carrot Top and James Caan with 'Rocky' trainer, actor Burt Young also on hand.

They even set up a photo-booth for candid pix of the special celebration. Planet Hollywood honcho Robert Earl, who’s converting the Aladdin, made a roundtrip 10,000 mile dash to and from London to co-host with Sly’s lovely wife, Jennifer Flavin. Later Teri Hatcher and Bruce Willis (separately folks) went onto Pure in Caesars for designer Chris Aires’s new jewelry and fashion creations. My pal, Tyson Beckford, who appeared in our Australian reality show 'Get me Out of Here' was one of the models.

And you can bet the cigar roller they brought in was busy all night making stogies for Sly, Travolta, Arnold and Bruce.
STRIP SCRIBBLES
Jerry Lewis holds a rare press meeting with our Vegas media gang today to promote his return to The Orleans in July, the resumption of his Muscular Dystrophy telethon from the Southcoast in Vegas, during Labor Day weekend – and one surprise announcement that Luxe Life will bring you the moment we hear it! All remarkable for an 80-year-old who has valiantly and successfully fought a prescription pill addiction for chronic back pain relief…It was more than a perfect trifecta! … Four French superstar chefs, by total coincidence, were all in Vegas simultaneously, and they almost all met up, again by coincidence, at the new Guy Savoy restaurant in Caesars Palace. (Alain Ducasse here in his Mandalay Bay rooftop restaurant with revered Bordeaux winemaker Bernard Magrez who owns 32 worldwide vineyards)
dined with our Southern Wine spirits head honcho Larry Ruvo, Venetian resort
president, Rob Goldstein and Jerome Bocuse, son of legendary chef Paul Bocuse –
and if not for a last-minute emergency the amazing Joel Robuchon (MGM Grand) would have also enjoyed Savoy’s special dinner for his culinary
colleagues! He turned up the next night! …Indiana Pacers star Jermaine O’Neal
and one-time heavyweight champ James “Lights Out” Toney were KO’d at the door
of Light nightclub at the Bellagio because of the extra stringent dress-code.
The boxer took his 18 friends off for dinner at Fix while Jermaine promptly
took his group directly to Pure where the code was more relaxed and they joined
actor Mario Lopez and R&B singer Johny Gil’s party parade.
