In Today's Issue: While rumors swirl about whether Lindsay Lohan and Harry Morton were engaged this weekend, people are still talking about Paris Hilton and Travis Barker, who put on a steamy show in a limousine. Meanwhile, Jerry Lewis returned to Vegas and raised $61 million, Vince Neil rocked out at the Pimp 'n' Ho ball, and celebs-a-plenty turned up at Social House.

The tabloid world was in labor this weekend, worrying and waiting for the announcement that Lindsay Lohan had become engaged to our Hard Rock Hotel mogul Harry Morton. The two have been inseparable since Luxe Life first chronicled their month-long romance at Beacher's Madhouse at his casino resort, and spent the holiday weekend on a pre-honeymoon-styled romp in Hawaii. But it was Harry’s last-minute shopping expedition to high-priced rich ‘n’ famous jeweler Cartier in Beverly Hills before they flew to Hawaii that sparked the “wedding watch." Some on the gossip vine said it was, “THE engagement ring,” and others said, “Harry’s ready to take the relationship to the next level. He’s really calmed her the past month and she’s canned the drinking and partying.” In fact, Luxe Life learned that Lindsay actually cancelled plans at the last-minute to fly to New York for the MTV Video Music Awards and instead ride the romantic rendezvous to Hawaii. If they do announce their high-speed engagement today, a quickie rush-wedding might not be far behind. So, a polite reminder that here in Vegas you can’t pick up a marriage license anymore between 12 midnight and 8AM. You only have until 11.59PM nightly, so get it early and tuck it in your pocket in case you decide on a 5AM flirtation with the vows of marriage in one of our chapels that still remain open round the clock.

Last time Luxe Life left Paris Hilton -- after her CD record-debut party at PURE in Caesars Palace (click here for that report last week) -- the party heiress was seriously flirting with newly-single drummer Travis Barker. I told you they’d left her party group of sister Nicky, galpal Kimberly Stewart, Eric Benet and instead of Jenna Jameson it was x-rated actress Stormy Daniels, to make out together on one of the nightclub’s VIP beds. They left together at 4AM and I said, “My lips are sealed." But the buzz was all over town anyway, so I can now safely tell that Paris and Travis wound up at the Spearmint Rhino men’s club, where their show in a locked limousine near the rear VIP private entrance was more sizzling than the lap dances the topless girls performed inside! Now tabloid gossips are watching that fling too to see if it develops further. Meantime, though, I can tell you that Travis is still enjoying his new single status because after Paris flew to New York for the MTV Video Awards Travis stayed here and 24 hours later was “found” with Lost’s lovely Michelle Rodriguez enjoying sushi and sake supper at the brand-new Social House Asian adventure-land, which officially opened Labor Day weekend in Treasure Island, where she hosted the Anand Jon fashion show at the adjoining Tangerine nightclub.

The Labor Day weekend of 2006 was one wild, weird and wacky weekend of wow! In the midst of mad-merriment, the fortunate goodwill highlight was the incredible turnout of Strip stars and other headliners to support Jerry Lewis and his Muscular Dystrophy telethon, returning here to the South Coast for the first time in 12 years. It had been held in Vegas for 21 of its 40-years before moving to Los Angeles. Celine Dion, Rita Rudner, Lance Burton, Clint Holmes, George Wallace and the cast of 'Phantom' were joined by out-of-towners Donald Trump, Ray Romano, William Shatner, Larry King, the Dave Matthews Band and the Goo Goo Dolls.

Even the cast of our local 'Sopranos' show raised $45,000 when they appeared briefly on the local telethon at the Hilton. My pal, Ed McMahon was co-host of this year’s national 21-hour telethon that raised an all-time record of $61-million beating last year’s $55-million, making the total that Jerry has raised since the first telethon in 1966 a staggering almost billion and a quarter! ($1. 1/4B) Near tears, the emotional 80-year-old Lewis battled and beat all his illnesses and ailments to close out the telethon with his signature farewell song 'You’ll Never Walk Alone.' He’ll makeup for his cancelled Orleans appearances, due to illness, this winter.

Two events that brought out the scantily-clad next-to-nothing naughty-nighty lingerie, leather and lace legions were the Pimp ‘n’ Ho ball at the Orleans Arena and the Trashy Lingerie party at Jet in the Mirage. Talk about a feast of flesh and fantasies. Fifty of Trashy’s hottest Hollywood models donned their spiked-heels, garter-belts and seamed stockings to march into the nightclub for the night-long edgy erotic escapades. My pal Vince Neil from Motley Crue rocked 10,000 frenzied fans dressed in outrageous outfits at the Orleans. Backstage he told me that right afterwards he was flying to Columbus, Ohio for one day of rehearsals with the Crue and Aerosmith before that 35-city megatour kicks off today. Vince will be back here to open his new tattoo parlor at the Imperial Palace on October 27 and then the two groups perform at MGM on November 4 before playing the prestigious Hollywood Bowl the next night. Vince told me that the pyrotechnics used this tour are so advanced that it looks as if they are actually “on fire” while playing.

Instead of ex-wife Carmen Elektra, or recent fling, porn-queen Jenna Jameson being on his arm, Supernova rocker Dave Navarro turned up for the grand opening of Social House at the TI with knockout Playboy playmate Stephanie Larimore. Also there, gorgeous Jaimie Pressley with loveable beaufriend, DJ Eric Cubiche on a breakout from their Palms Fantasy Suite romantic holiday visit. Fellow rocker Tommy Lee finished a 3-hour DJ set over at rival ghostbar in the Palms and then, at 3AM, with galpal Raquel Gibson in tow, joined Dave and a 20-girl posse at PURE. FYI: the two rockers are partners in the new RokBar that will be built out of Rita Rudner’s comedy theater at New York New York, now that she’s moving to Harrah’s. Dave is one of the two big money backers for Tommy’s rock and roll pleasure playground. Dave hosted the PURE party, which ran till dawn, and also attracted Paris Hilton’s best girlfriends Kimberly Stewart and DJ Caroline D’Amore. I just wish I knew how long they actually sleep each day, because their back-to-back nights of nonstop partying don’t end till gone 5AM!!! Meantime, partying at ghostbar in the Palms, Travis, yet again, along with music stars Jermaine Dupri and Too Short, thrill-rider Carey Hart, and NBA stars Marcus Banks and Emeka Okafor. DJ Tiesto hauled in a full-house when he spun right through the night at Bacardi’s Global Gathering party in Rain at the Palms. The hotel’s day crew were arriving for work yesterday and he was still slaving at the turntables as the sun came up bright!

Were the new Hard Rock owners so outraged by the outrageous party scene at Rehab when they visited it for the first time that they said it would be shutdown -- despite all-time record sales and attendance -- and open next year as a proper respectable pool? … That plan for Paris Hilton to have her own nightclub at the Paris Hotel is still alivem, but the age-old problem of negotiations over investment dollars and percentage returns is slowing it down. … Actress Tori Spelling, obviously affected by all the alleged billion-dollar bickering over her late dad Aaron Spelling’s last will and testament, cancelled last-minute from hosting a PURE party over the holiday at Caesars Palace with DJ Grand Master Flash. Hollywood headlines have screamed a massive feud between Tori and her mom, Candy over how his mega-estate is being divvied up! … What off-Strip luxury-launched hotel is slashing staff, attractions and food costs to “save it as it transforms into a down-market, locals-only pad?" … Are the partners at one Vegas nightspot celebrating more than a $1-million a week haul in profits, even before the first birthday cake is lit? … No doubt the Luxor will be the hip happening hotel next year with openings of an invasion of LA clubs and celeb-hot lounges but PURE is also bringing in the Roxy to also spice up the bright lights of Hollywood.

Our favorite off the wall bizarre-comic, magician Amazing Johnathan shot a new 1-hour Comedy Central special over the weekend. It's his 4th special, but the aptly titled 'Wrong on Every Level' show was filmed at Manhattan’s Hudson Theater instead of his Sahara resort home here. It will be broadcast later this fall. The first taping was followed by a second “uncensored” taping, which will only be released on DVD!! The special includes a video segment that features Johnathan’s twisted version of “street magic” with our hometown heroes, illusionist Criss Angel and comedian Carrot Top taking part in the mayhem from here on the famed Strip. Since 2001, Johnathan has sold more than a half million tickets, making him one of the most successful Vegas headliners in history

My old pal Dennis Haskins, who played headmaster Mr. Belding on ‘Saved by the Bell' hosts a party at PURE.
