This weekend in Vegas was so exciting and celebrity-filled that we are posting three Luxe Life Special Editions today. This is the second of three. Just what went on at 2AM between Paris Hilton and tattooed drummer Travis Barker behind the tightly drawn white curtains of PURE's VIP celebrity bed? The only thing that could be seen was her high heels and his tennis sneakers! Security staff held the flimsy barricade for a full 20 minutes to keep prying eyes and cameras out of range, but when the billowy mesh was drawn back the couple was seated side-by-side in all innocence. But, all night long they’d been playing a cat and mouse game to prevent themselves from being photographed together! It was a case of being extra careful after last week’s incident at the Hyde nightclub in LA where Travis’ former wife, Miss USA, Shanna Moakler punched Paris in the face, accusing the party heiress of stealing him away. Whatever they did behind the curtains, I just hope that they were gentle because Travis was in serious pain from his injured right arm held in a medical sling!
I talked with him about the baffling arm problems. “We don’t really know if it's broken, but the doctor has said it could also possibly be a tumor brought on from all my drumming," Travis said. "I’ve had the worst pain in it that I’ve ever experienced. Apparently I had been playing in Europe for 3-weeks withthe bad arm. I’ve been a vegetarian for 16 years and the doctors want me off that diet because they claim it's making my bones weak. I’ve had the worst luck with broken bones, but I never thought it would happen from drumming. I’ve been trying to learn just one set to play with my good left arm. Fortunately I’m left handed, which makes things a little easier.” Travis admits the entire thing is a total mystery and that he’s really anxious about the situation. I recommended a Vegas specialist to him who’s cared for Tiger Woods, Andre Agassi and other major sports stars with injuries and hopefully that would provide him with some answers.
The Hilton’s 48-hour romp through Sin City began with the VIP opening of the new Social House restaurant at TI, continued with the 2nd anniversary of its sister nightclub Tangerine downstairs and then over to the PURE nightclub where, 24-hours later, sister Nicky Hilton was to celebrate her 23rd birthday. On hand for the celebrations were host Wilmer Valderrama of 'That 70’s Show,' DJ Eric Cubiche, who just got engaged to Jaime Pressly; Nicky’s beaufriend, 'Entourage' star Kevin Connolly, Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin and Ultimate Fighter Chuck Liddell.

Here’s Luxe Life’s eyewitness account of the 9PM-4AM party-night:
The star-studded evening began with Travis Barker and DJ AM as the first celebrity arrivals, followed by Nicky Hilton and 8 girlfriends and socialite Brandon Davis. Nicky’s relationship with Kevin Connolly obviously grows deeper as she wore a noticeable glistening ring on her left ring finger which she proudly showed to her gal pals, with Valderrama and his pals at the nearby opposite table. Paris then made her grand entry into Social House and, after hugging Nicky, Paris gave Barker a kiss on the cheek, before sitting down two seats away from him. But, in-between dinner courses of Kobebeef, tuna tataki and shrimp tempura, she and Barkerenjoyed little snuggles.After the marathon meal upstairs, the group headed downstairs to Tangerine to celebrate its 2nd anniversary. DJ Eric Cubiche was on the turntables as Paris and Barker got comfortable and nestled themselves into the corner. As the rumored new twosome were chatting and drinking Red Bull and Vodkas, Kevin Connolly arrived and was inseparable from Nicky. At midnight, Barker and AM headed out to PURE but Paris stayed with her sister and Kevin until theyalldecided to follow Travis over to PURE.

Meanwhile at Tangerine, Valderrama made his way to the DJ booth where Cubiche shifted songs and began playing the theme song from the 70’s television show 'CHiPS,' in honor of Valderrama, who has been cast to play Ponch in the new movie version. Once at PURE, Paris took over the VIP stage making it her own dance floor. On top of her table, Paris and Nicky danced to the beats of DJ AM. The dancing Hilton heiresses were the center of attention, with most of the club goers coming to a full dance-stop to watch them in awe. Flashes from cameras, andcell phones lit up the room like a New Year’s Eve celebration. Nicky took a break to get comfortable on one of PURE’s beds, while Paris had club goers mesmerized as she began wrapping herself in the white curtains draping the VIP section and skipped around the stage playing peak-a-boo in and out of the fabrics with admirers. Taking a break from her own dance party, Paris sat with Nicky drinking Patron shots and Red Bull and Vodka and then began text messaging furiously on her cell phone. At 1:40AM, her face lit up as the former blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker joined the party. Going straight to where Paris was standing, the two didn’t take their eyes off of each other. As Barker and Paris were in deep conversation, whispering into each other’s ears, comedian Jeff Beacher, who was nearby, drew a heart with his hands, but the two could hardly take their eyes off of each other. Then at 2AM, the moment little sister Nicky and Kevin called it an early night, the curtains were held around the couple by one of Paris’ security guards. They simply disappeared from sight; all that was showing was a pair of tennis shoes and heals from under the draped curtains. When the curtains were pulled back 20 minutes later, Paris and Barker were sitting so close together to each other on the lavish bed the were always touching. Paris was energized as Travis took off at 2:30AM and as the crowd cheering “Go-Go-Go” she made the entire VIP stage her own playground, jumping from bed to bed and dancing and swinging with the curtains. Also joining the Hilton festivities on the club’s main stage was porn icon Jenna Jameson.

Nicky Hilton’s birthday extravaganza in Las Vegas continued the next night with dinner of jumbo prawns, filet mignon and hand-cut crispy fries from Chef Jose Aleman at the BOA steakhouse in the Forum Shops at Caesars. Sister Paris was over at the opening of the new Playboy Club at the Palms and picking up owner George Maloof to join the birthday bash. Then the grand finale back at PURE Nightclub: Nicky and her 30-strong massive party made their entrance into PURE where a packed house greeted her with screams and flashbulbs. Already waiting inside was her big sister Paris who had been rallying club goers in anticipation of Nicky’s entrance by dancing up and down the VIP stage. As Nicky walked up to the VIP stage, resting on a table was an enormous birthday cake that was a model size replica of the Breakwater Hotel in Miami, soon to be renamed Nicky O, which will be Nicky’s first in a chain of boutique hotels. She stared in amazement at the detailed cake while everyone in her party flashed fotos of the gorgeous dessert’s artwork. On hand was Palms hotel tycoon George Maloof with Paris after they’d both checked out his new Fantasy Tower with its new Playboy Club -- full details of that in the next Luxe Life, posting later today. George had a very special birthday present; a custom-made diamond encrusted watch made by Jacob the Jeweler. Paris grabbed the microphone and addressed the crowd, “My sister Nicky, I’m so proud of her, she has three hotels opening, her clothing line, jewelry line, you’re amazing, I love you!” With boyfriend Kevin Connolly, star colorist Michael Boychuck, who is opening Nicky’s first salon in the Miami hotel, comedian Jeff Beacher, gal pal Faye Resnick, blogger extraordinaire Perez Hilton, fashion designer Richie Rich and a stage full of friends surrounding the Hilton sisters, Paris led all of PURE in singing 'Happy Birthday' to Nicky as the video monitors flashed photo montages of her as a child. When Justin Timberlake’s 'SexyBack' came on the sound system, Paris wrapped herself in the curtains, fora sultry dance and then hopped over to the next bed and began dancing with Nicky. The Hilton dance party continued for several songs, and then at 3AM they all left to continue partying in Nicky’s hotel suite. It has been an almost week long birthday-blast for Nicky. Before leaving LA, she selected Vegas chef Kerry Simon for her actual 23rd birthday dinner at his new Hollywood restaurant. While in Vegas, Nicky also dined with her girlfriends alongside star chef Emeril Lagasse at Joe’s Stone Crab restaurant in the Forum Shops where Paris, in disguise of black wig and large sunglasses, tried to go unrecognized at the FAO Schwarz toy store. Somehow, in between all the insane partying, Nicky still managed to host a poker tournament with a $6000 first prize at TI.!

Luxe Life will take a well-earned breather from the Hilton takeover of Vegas -- at least until their next visit!
