Curvy creatures from Vegas will wind up naked on the pages of Playboy magazine next year as a result of founder Hugh Hefner's visit here. Both the new Playboy Club bunnies at the Palms and the sizzling sexy ladies of 'La Femme' at MGM have been "auditioned" with test photos by Hefner's photo-scouts. Plus our friend, internet pinup queen Cindy Margolis, who appears in the Palms in-suite house video promos, has agreed to do her 1st nude layout and will donate the modeling fee to her favorite charity. Incidentally weekend visitors to the Playboy Club at the Palms included my old tanned Hollywood pal, George Hamilton (click for pic), wrestling star Hulk Hogan with 'Wonder Years' hero Jason Hervey and 'American Idol' host Ryan Seacrest, who is developing a new TV show 'Lucky 7: The Real Las Vegas.'
HARD-PARTYING

Basketball bad-boy Dennis Rodman was all over town for his wild party weekend: at Harrah's Carnival Court USA tribute band show he sent fans into a frenzy as he threw hundreds of $1 bills into the crowd. Then after touring PURE and partying with fans he settled into the VIP stage with friends but this time stayed faithful to the one mystery woman he arrived and departed with. ... Meantime, boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. did the Rodman thing too and not only threw $10,000 worth of $100 bills at the crowd at OPM, but he and a gaggle of gal pals also sprayed 10 bottles of my favorite Cristal champagne over the crowded dance floor. That "cooling down" cost another $10 grand!! ... Guitarist Ron Wood got the attention of two dancers and a cocktail server at Light in the Bellagio by sketching their curvy charms for 20 minutes in the club's Purple Room while waiting for his drinks to celebrate sensational sales of his original artworks at The Jack Gallery in Mandalay Bay earlier.
JUST ASKING
Is it true that one Hong Kong high-roller dropped $20-million without a trace of emotion at the Sand's casino on Macau thus making a major contribution to the Venetian parent's bottom line last month? ... Has one Vegas casino already purchased two former mega-jets to redesign as flying casino palaces to bring Hong Kong high rollers to Vegas for gaming junkets?
OPENING TONIGHT

Luxe Life has the first sneak peek at the newly-renovated Golden Nugget's "new look" which unveils tonight, with a grand opening bash downtown. All eyes will be on The Tank, an untamed liquid escapade, with its careening waterslide allowing guests to splash right through the sharks!! Guests are being encouraged to bring their swimsuits -- I may just wear mine under the tux!!! The new Grotto Ristorante is right alongside so you can dine on the same food the sharks munch on normally!!! There'll be special peek-a-boo performances from the sexy topless Cover Girl dancers and a special exhibition by the 'Strictly Ballroom' championship dancers. Once owned by MGM, the Golden Nugget was sold to local millionaires Tom Breitling and Tim Posten who, after less than a 2-year run, flipped it last year to Landry's Restaurants chairman Tilman Fertitta, who is related to the Fertitta family that owns our Red Rock, Green Valley and Station Casino's group. He's invested million$ to make it rival the Strip's luxurious giants and simultaneously breathe new life into the ever-changing ever-better downtown scene.

FANCY HIGH-PRICED TRAVEL

The 50 pampered horses, including 25 stallions, which star in the new equestrian spectacular 'Cavalia' arrived in high-flying style over the weekend, getting their own Boeing 747 direct from Montreal to McCarran to fly in on! Normand Latourelle, President and Artistic Director of 'Cavalia' is thrilled his production opens here this week under the Big White Top Tents at the Rio, saying, "Your mild autumn weather is ideal for the horses, and we are excited to see them welcomed so graciously." The show that's been touring for three years finally hits Vegas for a month-long visit as acrobats, aerialists, dancers, musicians and riders share the grand-scale extravaganza with the horses.
RECORD SELL-OUT
Tickets were sold out within an hour at the weekend for song and dance star Justin Timberlake's upcoming January 19 concert at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The "Future Sex/Love Show" as its' billed follows the same-titled album on his "Sexy Back Live Listening Sessions. Here in Vegas he'll have a 14-piece band, backup dancers and will perform *NSYNC singer! Femme-fatale Pink, who is married to Vegas' very own tattooed stunt rider Carey Hart will open for Justin.

TONIGHT'S TIP
Vegas is well represented all week long on David Letterman's Late Night CBS talk show devoted to Celebrity Impersonators First up tonight, Rich Little and then on Wednesday it's Gordie Brown. (Incidentally, Rich's next art gallery showing of his movie star charcoal portraits is set for Nov. 25 at The Gallery in Summerlin.) Don't expect the king of the strip Danny Gans to appear on Letterman's impersonators salute. He may have wisely decided Letterman's oft-biting sarcastic wit might be more critical of their skills than praiseworthy! Tune in because you might hear incredible impressions of me as both Rich and Gordie do a great yours truly. ... Happy Birthday to celebrity fotog Hew Burney of 944 Magazine/SpyOnVegas fame. His pictures sometimes grace our Luxe Life postings. He celebrates with a party at JET in the Mirage where simultaneously Japonais launches Brandon Roque's KISS-U weekly jetset-parties!
TOMORROW'S TEASE
Newly-separated Britney Spears may set up temporary HQ in Vegas as she fights Fed-Ex in his ugly custody battle for their two babies and thus a bigger share of her fortune. Plus, 'Mindfreak' magician Criss Angel's very candid conversation about his early poverty days now he's luxuriating in his new Luxor home. We'll also sneak a look at the much-awaited famous Rao's restaurant opening at Caesars Palace and give you the full rundown of all the superstars arriving at Celine and Elton's entertainment emporium for the 5-day long Comedy Festival sponsored in part by AOL!
