Pop princess Britney Spears is expected to check into the Fantasy Towers suites of the Palms Hotel here today, as a weeklong guest of owner/mogul George Maloof, as predicted earlier this week here in Luxe Life. The reservations for her week-long stay were made late last night.
Ironically, it was at the Palms where Britney was staying when, two years ago, she had her "surprise runaway" Vegas marriage to a childhood Louisiana sweetheart that lasted just 55 hours before one of Maloof's lawyers got the nuptials reversed with a just-as-quick divorce agreement.
Its expected that, while here, Britney and newly-reunited manager Larry Rudolph, who is a pal of George's, will spend time in the Palms recording studio with its direct access from her suite via private elevator. She's already worked in the studio previously.
Yesterday, the Palms recording studio was recognized as "best in the country for its design." Celebrating their tremendous achievement in studio design, The Studio at The Palms was honored at the 2006 Technical Excellence and Creativity Awards for audio production and creativity. "Every element of thestudio from design to our staff is top-notch in the music industry and we're thrilled that our peers recognized us for those elements. The studio has been open less than a year and has already made an impact in the music world," said Zoe Thrall, director of The Studio at The Palms.
Sir Elton John, The Killers, The Blue Man Group and Britney herself are among the stars who have already used the facility, and insiders tell Luxe Life that Britney is already at work on a new album as she fights separated husband and wouldbe rapper Kevin Federline in a bitter divorce and custody battle. (Click here for all the earlier Luxe Life reports on that furious feud.
Luxe Life will monitor all of Brit's weeklong stay, and the very real possibility that, with Fed-Ex also coming to town for a surprise show to revive his flagging national tour for his sales-flop CD 'Playing with Fire,' their tormented troubled paths may well cross!!

Yesterday Maloof, (above), while announcing the spring opening of his new, 4-level, 40-ft-tall underground Pearl 2,400 seat showroom theater at the resort. during a hard-hat construction sneak-preview for Luxe Life was tight-lipped about the possibility of Britney appearing there once it's opened.
