Bling-Bling World for Flavor Flav, 'Fame Games,' and Celeb Clubbers

He's our city's newest resident- so welcome the Hype Man of Public Enemy, rapper royalty Flavor Flav. Awww, yeahhh. However on his new Nevada driving license, his mortgage bank papers and his voting registration he's William Drayton. But true to character, he never removes his trademark bling bling -- even when he has to take out the trash, just like all of us here in the Valley, twice weekly! Yes, residents down along the southern part of the Strip report Flav's a good conscientious neighbor, and makes sure the trash is out for pickup on its two appointed days, even if it means hauling out the cans while wearing the trademark timepiece around his neck!

Flav is riding high: the finale of his VH1 show 'Flavor of Love' a couple of weeks ago won 6 million viewers, making it the highest rated show in the network's history! (see our carousel above for a few more EXCLUSIVE pics) Filmed in Los Angeles last year, the show saw Flavor selecting one fan "looking for love" with him during the ten 1-hour programs. "Think of it as the Black-helor" he laughs. "I finally selected 'Hoops,' a construction worker from Detroit who used to play basketball. I give all my girls nicknames." When I last talked with Flavor, he admitted that he is the proud poppa of six children born from 2 different women. He plans on keeping his Los Angeles home, but is moving here with one of his girlfriends. "I love Vegas, and you're going to be seeing me around town," he says.

His executive producers are the same two guys, Chris Abrego and Mark Cronin, who have joined with me to shoot 'Fame Games,' which we are currently filming for VH1 around Vegas. With those credentials, we should have another smash hit on our hands. It's a spin off from their hit 'Surreal Life' series. I host the tongue in cheek contests that shamelessly parody the Hollywood celebrity system, as stars fight to grab the lifestyles of the wealthy and well-known! "We're lampooning the whole process," says Chris. "Celebs take themselves far too seriously." So each day in their fight for the winning $100,000 prize, ten celebrities struggleto stay on the 'A' List without falling down onto the 'B' List and then being eliminated. It's all totally tongue-in-chic, and viciously funny. Already we've shot at the Fremont Street Experience (see above), at ghostbar in the Palms and at the Rainbow Bar and Grill.

The competitors include Verne "Mini Me" Troyer ('Austin Powers') Poison guitarist CC DeVille, Emmanuel "Webster" Lewis, rapper Vanilla Ice, beautiful 'Baywatch' babe Traci Bingham, Sylvester Stallone's sexy statuesque ex- Brigitte Nielsen, Salt and Pepa's singer Pepa, wrestling hero Chyna Doll, Playboy's latenight TV host Andrea Lowell and adult film stud Ron Jeremy. They're tackling such challenges as "Red Carpet Fashion Showdown;" "What is Charo Saying?" "Paparazzi Hide & Seek;" and "Hotel Room Trash-a-Thon" with several guest stars including Melissa Rivers (my 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here' castmate), singer-guitarist Charo, and even Flavor Flav himself. The cast also gets to meet our colorful and merry Mayor of Mirth, Oscar Goodman.

These ten one-hour shows will air on VH1 throughout the summer months. And you never know what unscripted moments will happen when we are out-and-about filming:  Verne Troyer mowed down part of the directors-chair setup we had for the first Fan Photo challenge at the Fremont Street Experience when he rode in on a motorized scooter, as the replacement of New Kids on the Block singer Jordan Knight (who had to depart due to a family emergency). Rob Van Winkle (a/k/a Vanilla Ice) poured a bucket of cold ice cubes over himself after fans at the ghostbar atop the Palms kept yelling his name (Emmanuel Lewis promptly followed suit). And Rainbow owner Jerry Greenberg dug out old music videos of the fun celeb group when they turned up to film at his rock star hangout here. We've got another 16 days of back-to-back filming ahead of us. Much of it has to remain secret until we get closer to the air dates. But I can tell you I have never laughed so much in my life at the fickle foibles of fate that befall our priceless personalities. They are great sports to endure what we're putting them through...

Meanwhile, the fab five from Bravo's Emmy Award-winning TV series 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' -- Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia, Carson Kressley and Jai Rodriguez -- are filming three specials here that will kick off their new season of broadcasts in June. The makeover mavens, who got to meet the Mayor at a Caesars Palace welcoming ceremony (see right), are transforming the lives of a fire-eating magician, a renowned poker player, and a fun-loving couple on a fairy tale wedding elopement. The "Eyes" picked Caesars, the Forum Shops, the Jubilee show at Bally's and The Palms for some of their locations.

Kressley (right, at left), who went fishing for shopping money in the Caesars Fountain of the Gods, said, "It's the first time we've made-over a lounge act ... but it's great having the shopping malls open through midnight, 7 days-a-week. I found an Escada gown for the couple who eloped from New York... " The five guys raved about all the dining, entertainment and shopping options on the Strip, and became fast regulars at Sushi Roku in the Caesars Forum Shops returning night after night.

Nor are we by any means the only TV troupes in town these days. Vegas looks like a Hollywood backlot at the moment, and crews are almost bumping into each other. While both 'Fame Games' and 'Queer Eye' are shooting in Vegas for the first time, A&E's 'Inked' series is continuing to shoot here, along with Fine Living Network's 'What Makes Vegas Tick,' and the Discovery Channel's 'Biker Build-Off.' Spike TV will be shooting its 'Autorox' show on April 7 at the Fremont Street Experience for an April 18 broadcast.

And its not just TV cameras invading -- we've got a full-scale celebrity invasion going on, making our own "March Madness." It certainly got started this weekend in true Black Eyed Peas style at PURE as Fergie (right) celebrated her 31st birthday with members of the group, plus her low-key low-profile boyfriend, actor Josh Duhamel from TV's 'Vegas' show. Wearing a baseball cap and a t-shirt, he snuck in through a side entrance while Fergie grabbed the red carpet spotlight in her orange dress. It was a 3-hour birthday blast, with champagne plus Malibu Rum and Pineapple Juice through till 4AM for her group. At 3AM, they included party princess Nicky Hilton (below), who surprised with a drop by for birthday cake (decorated in orange flowers and a picture of the singer) as the Pussycat Dolls marched in to sing ' Happy Birthday' to the hip-hop princess. The two girls hugged and fell onto PURE's white VIP beds before they danced with each other when DJ Hollywood put on the Peas' hit "My Humps."

Wolfgang Puck's Spago restaurant (click here for our AOL Video) attracts all the celebs before they go out on the town. World champion cyclist Lance Armstrong with five guests dined there, while across the room was 'Sopranos' star (and Vegas stalwart) Jamie Lynn Sigler with six friends -- before she went on to party at PURE (below with promoter Ken Dillon). Also at PURE was Seahawks wide receiver Jerry Rice, who danced one of his routines from ABC-TV's 'Dancing with the Stars' as fellow players Roger Craig and Heisman trophy winner Marcus Allen, along 'The OC's Ben McKenzie watched from behind some Grey Goose and tonic and Dom Perignon champagne. The 'Queer Eye' cast was there too and Carson Kressley danced with the Pussycat Dolls in their 2nd show of the night -- after the Dolls taught him how to grind and tease properly! PURE has become THE Hollywood hangout favorite...

But next door at the Mirage, basketball legend Michael Jordan had his own parties running on the third and fourth of consecutive nights in town. First he danced the first night away at Light in the Bellagio. Then he and Marcus Allen warmed the bench in the VIP dance floor section at TAO, listening to DJ Five during Thursday's Worship party. And then he hit Mirage's Stack restaurant and around-the-corner Jet nightclub for two consecutive nights. His supper of choice? Grey Goose-Red Bulls and tuna tacos. 'Iron Chef' winner Kerry Simon (of Simon's in the Hard Rock) was dining there too. Included in Michael's sports squad were Philadelphia Eagle Richard Dent, Florida Panther Dino Ciccarelli, and Allen...

And he's not going home -- at least not yet! We all thought that after four straight days and nights of Vegas hi-life partying that his Airness would call it quits. But he's still going ... and going ... like the Energizer bunny! Michael was back out on the town Sunday night, returning to where his five-day spree began, at Bellagio's Light club, with a stop at the Caramel lounge first to get the night revved up on the fast track. You wouldn't think the basketball season was still in play with his passion for golf, gaming and go-go!

Incidentally, the Light Group that owns Light and Jet (as well as Caramel, Mist, Fix and Stack) flew 100 of the hottest partygoers in Vegas to Miami for the Winter Music Conference there (see pic) to recreate Vegas in South Beach's Mansion nightspot. The Vegas party group got to dance with tennis golden boys Andy Roddick and James Blake, and Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor...

Back home at TAO in The Venetian, we told you yesterday all about Britney and Kevin's two consecutive nights there, but then in came 'Failure to Launch' star Justin Bertha (left) to celebrate his new NBC comedy 'Teachers' with a party that attracted 3000 revelers -- that's bigger than New Years Eve, fyi. Nightlife in Glitter City is so hot we're on fire.

But Vegas isn't quite as hot with the ABC-TV station in Los Angeles. The Nevada Development Authority hired our merrymaking Mayor Oscar Goodman to star in commercials spoofing CSI Vegas and TV poker games. "Quit working for peanuts. Reduce your business nut. Come to Las Vegas," quoth Oscar. TV stations across California ran the spot, but KABC refused on the grounds it was offensive and too anti-California! Goodman, never one to shy away from the heat of battle, is consulting lawyers to force ABC's outlet there to air the fun commercials...

Finally, today (Tues, March 28), the Las Vegas Hilton welcomes comedienne Kathy Griffin and sponsor Alka Seltzer as they all seek to break the Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Buffet. There will be 500 items in the buffet (open to the public for $7.50), which will mark the sizzling stomach tablet's 75th anniversary as a fundraiser for America's 2nd Harvest food charity...

We'll be back tomorrow with a magician's daredevil explosive stunt that brought him face to face with death, plus latest news from Barry Manilow and Clint Holmes, and the gorgeous poolgirls of Hooters. Meantime, you can make your own splash by emailing us at
