Britney Spears' Night Out; New Beatles; Letterman at Playboy Club; Sexy Halloween Happenings

In This Issue:
  • Britney Spears has a "Girls' Night Out" in Vegas without K-Fed.
  • The Beatles are set to release a "new" album, based on the 'LOVE' theatrical spectacular.
  • The Late Show with David Letterman is planning to film upcoming segments at the Playboy Club.
  • Doyle Brunson tells Luxe Life what he feels about the new Internet gambling bill.
  • Sexy Halloween happenings in our city of Sin.
  • VH1 brings its 1st Classic Rock 'n' Roll celebrity poker tournament to the Flamingo.

  • If Kevin can do it so can Britney!! That was a "Girls' Night Out" message from the pop star Britney Spears as she hit Vegas last night, without hubby Kevin Federline, and had people asking if she'll make her showbiz return as a guest mc with the outrageously sexy Pussycat Dolls. Britney left her two babies in the care of her nanny at The Venetian and she wound up early this morning at PURE and watched the post-midnight burlesque show that has attracted everybody from Eva Longoria, Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson, Willa Ford and Nicolette Sheridan as high-heeled, stocking and garter-belted guest stars.

Britney is the latest celeb to enjoy the Pussycat Dolls. The list includes Willa Ford (center) and Eva Longoria (right).

Britney turned up with a girlfriend in tow and got all the new dance moves down before leaving at 1AM. However, she stuck with her new, tough, keep-fit regimen by turning down champagne and instead stuck to Voss water all night. (You can click here for our "Breaking News" Luxe Life that we posted this morning about her Brit's arrival in Sin City) One eyewitness commented: "With Kevin just two weeks ago behaving like a bachelor boy rather than a married man when he was in Vegas at TAO, it now looks as if Britney's evening the score and out having a grand time on her own single-style." This sure is going to be one interesting weekend and Luxe Life will keep you fully updated, so continue checking back here regularly and often!

    NEW BEATLES

Sir George Martin, Giles Ste-Croix, Judy Martin and Giles Martin on opening night of 'LOVE' at the Mirage.

It's now official!! As predicted by Luxe Life back in the early summer, a "new" album of Beatles music will be released next month. Sir George Martin, their legendary producer, who mixed the November release, and also worked on the new Cirque du Soleil Beatles 'LOVE' musical, says "it's an entirely new way to relive the group's musical lifespan." The CD will be called 'LOVE!' and comes from the soundtracks of the theatrical spectacular. "In doing the music for the 'LOVE' show we created a new Beatles album," Martin said. "They always looked for other ways of expressing themselves, so this becomes another step forward for them. It's a new experience and a way to relive their whole lifespan of music in a very condensed period." Sir George and his son Giles began work on the album after EMI Music and Apple Ltd got the go--ahead from Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and widows Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison. The Martins were given the group's original 'Abbey Road' recording studio master tapes and remixed favorite songs with others including 'Within You Without You' by George Harrison, being played to Ringo's drum track of 'Tomorrow Never Knows.' The full track listing will be released early next month, just prior to the worldwide simultaneous record release. Meantime, actress Angela Bassett and her husband, actor Courtney Vance are the latest celebrities to visit the show.

    PALMS STARS
Late-night comedy TV host David Letterman is so fascinated with the new Playboy Club at the Palms that he's sending a film crew to shoot a special segment for his the Late Show. The beautiful busty bunnies, who are casino dealers and cocktail servers, will be the focus of the segment, which will also have owner George Maloof playing tour-guide for Hugh Hefner's mini-mansion sky-villa. Incidentally, every 2nd Sunday of the month will now feature a party with the Playboy magazine cover-girl from that month's new issue. Now, whenever Hef throws a party in his Holmby Hills mega-manse, partygoers will celebrate simultaneously at the Vegas bunny-hutch with live Internet video-hookups to link the two sets of revelers. Meantime, down on the 3rd floor of the Fantasy Tower, super producer Timbaland snuck in secretly with Caesars headliner Sir Elton John for anew recording session. Elton just racked up an amazing sale of 13,000 CD/books when he appeared live on QVC from Caesars.

    BRUNSON BLAST
The Prince of Poker, legendary veteran Doyle Brunson wasn't in too happy a mood when Luxe Life ran into him at the opening of the Green Valley Ranch's new poker room. While praising the new facility, he talked about poker's growth in recent years and then he blasted the bill to ban Internet gaming. "I never did think that poker would grow this much. I think George W. Bush is going to hurt it a bit when he signs that bill banning Internet gaming. Frankly, I think it sucks.  But I think poker itself will keep on growing, because America is beginning to find out what a great game poker is, and I found it out 50 years ago. Back then it was a different era. It was illegal where I played in Texas and we got arrested, we got robbed, we got cheated, but it took that to evolve it into what it is today."  Luxe Life asked Doyle forhis response to the critics of Internet gaming and he replied: "Who has it harmed is what I want to know? Would you rather your kids be down in the basement at a reasonable rate of entertainment or would you rather them be on the streets where there are drugs and violence? It is very simple. "

    ROCK POKER

    Phil Hellmuth, seen here with
Antonio Esfandiari and Phil Gordon, will host VH1's Rock 'n' Roll poker tourney.

VH1 brings its 1st Classic Rock 'n' Roll celebrity poker tournament to the Flamingo on Nov 2, featuring some of music's top names with the final winner selecting the charity of their choice to get "the winning pot." Expect to see Sully Erna of Godsmack, Vinnie Paul from Pantera, Ace Frehley of KISS, Dusty Hill of ZZ Top and Scott Ian of Anthrax playing for their favorite charities for the TV special which will air early next year on VH1 Classic. Pro player Phil Hellmuth will host the main event, while poker champions Annie Duke and Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari will be the Green Room co-hosts. Fan favorite, Phil "Unabomber" Laak, will offer "Tips and Tells" to all the players. Two lucky visitors to www.ultimatebet.tv will get the chance to participate with the rock 'n' roll stars with freeroll qualifying tournaments starting next Monday, Oct. 23. The Flamingo itself will select one of its players join in with the rockers. "As we continue the process of reinventing the Flamingo, the VH1 Classic Rock 'n' Roll Celebrity Poker Tournament is a prime example of the direction the resort will be taking in the future," said Don Marrandino, president of Flamingo Las Vegas. "This talented group of artists will rock the Flamingo." The charity event will be taped in the Second City Theatre at the hotel.

    MORE TOP PAIRS
The 3rd season of Ultimate Poker Challenge has begun shooting at Binion's downtown and will run through Dec 11with 156 shows for next year broadcast. It's also the 3rd season of High Stakes Poker on Game Show Network, filming at the South Coast with Gabe Kaplan playing and simultaneously announcing the color commentary. The show, with Doyle Brunson and Daniel Negreanu, will debut in January in 13 episodes featuring the two 12-hour games. Meantime, the final table of the current World Poker Tour finals will be played tomorrow at the Bellagio, with cameras from the Travel Channel capturing the action of card players competing for the more than a $1 million prize.

    HALLOWEEN HORROR HIGHLIGHTS

The Duke of Darkness himself will be the ultimate bad-boy for Halloween, with a double-headed scandalous spook celebration. Be warmed that basketball's ultimate troublemaker Dennis Rodman is coming to town. Fortunately though, blonde beauties Jenny McCartney and 'Wedding Crasher's' Diora Baird will provide a softer-gentler touch to the ghosts and goblins. Here are the highlights,so you can plan to be in Sin City for all the haunted horrors and fright festivities. Comedy shock-jock Adam Carolla kicks it all off with a recreated Playboy Mansion at Scores adult-club on Thurs, Oct 26, but the sexiest and scariest comes on Sat, Oct 28 with Dennis Rodman playing judge at Tangerine with $10,000 in his pockets to hand out to winners of the wildest outfits. The next night, Sun, Oct 29, he's at Scores topless club hosting a chilling, thrilling, naughty nightmare of skeletons, spirits and specters for freaks and fetish fans.

Scenes from the annual Fetish and Fantasy Ball, where you can let your freak flag fly.

Gorgeous Diora Baird throws a movie release party for her new horror flick 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre -- The Beginning' at Coyote Ugly in NYNY on Sat, Oct 28 and on Halloween night itself, beautiful blonde Jenny McCarthy hosts the Haunted Halloween House of PURE, with $15,000 to give away to the best costumed partygoers. It's ironic that it will also be the farewell goodbye weekend of the Stardust, before it shuts down at midnight on Halloween. The big, bold brassy Fetish and Fantasy Ball will be held there. In its 11th year, the ball is the world's wildest and wickedest with the most outrageous outfits bordering on barely legal. The sexy Sirens of TI will also celebrate a mystical masquerade mashup at MIST in the TI on Halloween night, to celebrate their 3rd anniversary. I cant believe that my friends Shannon Tweed and Ivanka Trump will be dressed too wanton and wild for Halloween, but they will be at PURE for back-to-back parties when Gene Simmons of KISS launches his new fragrance on Fri, Oct 27 and Ivanka celebrates her 25th birthday and new starring role in dad Donald's 'The Apprentice,' being filmed here in Vegas. Boy, does time fly! I still remember helping Ivanka with her homework on an 18-hour flight from South Africa once! Those are the highlights, so plan your travel accordingly. Also, next week's Luxe Life will have every day's rundown of the ultimate Vegas cabaret concoction.

More from the annual Fetish and Fantasy Ball.

    SINGING SHOWGIRL

Stephanie Jordan during her Unplugged performance at House of Blues.

By night she's a sexy scintillating showgirl/mc, leading the gorgeous girls of 'Fantasy,' the erotic late-night dance revue at the Luxor. By day she zips out of her bustier and G-string to write and perform her own songs, looking for the big break. "I love the show I'm already in, but it would just add to my crazy schedule if I landed my own record deal too" she laughed. Luxe Life simply adores beautiful brunette Stephanie Jordan, who performedher original music at Mandalay Bay's House of Blues for their "Unplugged" series. 'Fantasy' audiences know she can sing but they don't know that she's an accomplished songwriter and now winning raves performing her own material. The acoustic set showed off her range from sultry ballads to straight-ahead rock, and you can sort of sense that earthy, expressive Fiona Apple/Melissa Etheridge style on the 3 tunes at her website www.myspace.com/singerjordan.

    STRIP SCRIBBLES
Poker pro Phil Ivey was down a cool half-million playing at The Venetian, so he decided to brighten his spirits by going up for the first time to party at TAO, where he was treated to $10,000's worth of champagne and other libations for his group. No word on whether he returned to play some more that night. ... Barry Manilow had fans concerned at his return appearance in Atlantic City, when he turned up on stage in a wheelchair, pushed by his backup singers wearing nurses uniforms, but it was a gag and Barry, who had surgery on both his hips in August, leapt out to dance and show how well he'd recovered. His Hilton engagement resumes Nov 8.

    TONIGHT'S TIP
Chris Clouse celebrates the release of his new 'Chimera' CD with a party at ghostbar, the Palms ultra lounge. Over at the pool of the Hard Rock, there will be a Wine and Spirits extravaganza to celebrate the 9th anniversary of Las Vegas Life magazine.

    TOMORROW'S TEASE
Two rebel hometown stars are in the Luxe Life spotlight as Jenna Jamison shares her new single life plans and Vince Neil gets ready to bring the Aerosmith-Motley Crue tour to Vegas and raise charity poker funds while kicking off his new tattoo parlor. Luxe Life will also have Robin's Royal Rundown of weekend shows and events.
