Hello Bird Nerds!!
Well we've seen some interesting birds lately. We've been to three parks in the last two days. We were at a kind of secluded nature park in Brooklyn Park two days ago then got some great shots at the dam last evening including my first pictures of a Tennessee Warbler and my first Redsart of the year and many other warblers. It seems that the warblers are finally here. Today we went to Springbrook park and found this cute little bird on the small dock near the beginning of the trail.
I can't figure out what it is unless it is a new chick from a better known bird. (Thank you Paul, I'ts a female Tree Swallow)The hikes just keep getting better. This is the Tennessee warbler. I wouldn't have known it but a more knowledgeable couple pointed it out while I was taking pictures of an American Redstart.

Today we saw many Rosebreasted Grossbeaks including this Female
While we were out on the big dock
this morning at Springbrook Carolyn observed how interesting it was that Canadian Geese had such fine rows of feathers on their backs.
Our anniversary trip to the North Shore is coming up next week. It looks to be raining at least some of the time if the National Weather service is right and we hope they aren't but we had a good time last year even though it rained some time and there was morning fog every morning to boot, so we should have a good time. Our friends Brook and Brandie will watch Capsie. Tomorrow is the designated day to fix our sagging car port so we probably won't get out for a hike though the weather looks to be very good.
I hope that all you are having a wonderful spring. It's a blessing tolive in this state.
