Saturday Catch Up

I wish I could bottle the sweet smells of Austin that I enjoy on my morning walks. Flowers, grasses, all the growing things that perfume the air are wonderful. It's a sweet smell with an underlying hint of natural compost. Just great.

Walking stats: 3-29-4-4 2008. Sat and Sun no walking. Monday did 3.334 miles. Tuesday was horrible weather-wise. Hot, humid, and was only saved by the breeze that made it bearable. I did 2.832 miles and at times thought I was going to faint. Wednesday was much, much better. Cooler, breezier, and a light mist of rain. I did 3.169 miles. Thursday 2.919 miles and Friday 2.720 miles.

The photos I'm posting are all of flowers that Frank and or Mom planted in the yard except for the photo of a very blonde Derick accompanied by Krystal and Fanita.

Nice photos!  Today, I saw several deer, and one toad that was undergoing the annual "unthawing" process.  Interestingly enough, these toads have 10 year lifespans and so must undergo this process several times in their lives.
