The Impossible Dream

Dang Humberto was just a tease. Its not like I wanna be wiped out by a hurricane but these stupid news/weather people. They get everyone all excited and IT DIDNT EVEN RAIN IN ALVIN! Some parts got rain but the storm ended up sitting right next to Galveston for awhile then hightailed it to the TX/LA border. What the hey! My prime-time Wednesday TV was interrupted for the rain I kept waiting for. IT NEVER CAME! I am alittle bitter. They canceled bible study. I thought ok well at least I can go out w/ Russ and his parents for dinner now. Nope cause apparently they believe they're made of sugar and the rain was going to melt them. Phsh, sugar... more like the Wicked Witch from Wizard of Oz! I'm melting... I'm MELTING... Urgh!

Earlier that day I had lunch w/ Judy my Avon boss. Thats right I am offically an Avon lady now. I just wanna let everyone know. You can order from my online site. But if you live near me you must select for me to deliver. Thats how I get my cut! :-) I'm pretty excited about it. I already got my first order! Thanks Kelli. I've already contacted 20 people. And I still have more that I need to email or call.

This morning I went to take the test for the dispatch position. There were 18 people who showed up to test. Outta the 18, 7 passed. Me being one of them of course. I am a good tester. The test was reading and vocabulary comprehension. The vocab was 15 mins to answer 80 ?'s. Whoa! Then the reading was 8 short stories w/ 7-8 ?'s for each. We had 20 mins for that one. For the 7 that passed the gave us the application. Its like 40 pages thick. Not exaggerating. They want your whole life story. Crazyness! We have until the 28th to turn it in. They also want copies of everything (drivers license, marriage license, divorce papers, SS card, HS diploma, credit report, etc). Goodness!

Ronnies game is tomorrow. I actually was able to get a half day off. So I will be going. Cant wait. Varisty games are super exciting. With the cheerleaders and fake cavaliers. And the bands! OMG I love it.
