KIDS!!

With 2 teenagers and one pre-teen in the house you never know what’s going to happen.
Just recently our oldest informed me that he received a speeding ticket on his way home from his girlfriends.  He was going 72 in a 55!!
Then within a week of my son’s ticket my daughter, who has only been driving since January, received her first speeding ticket.  She was on her way from her high school to the Sr. high for soccer and was caught going 48 in a 35mph.

Gotta love it!!

We found out my son’s ticket will cost $215.00 Ouch!!  We’ve informed him he will have to pay this one….this one is his responsibility.  We paid for his first ticket a year or so ago.  :)
For my daughter, she will have to appear in court in the next week or so because of her age and then we’ll find out what it will cost us for her ticket.  I think she will have to re-pay us with some kind of work around the house since she doesn’t have a job at the moment.  Do you think I can get her to pick up the dog poop in the back yard?   :)

You know, I worry a lot about my kids especially now that the 2 oldest are out there driving.  I worry every time they leave the house and get in their car and head off down the road.  I’m always thinking and worrying about where they are and if they’re ok.  It’s always nice to see them walk in the door safe and sound at the end of the day.
KIDS!!!
I count my blessing every day that they do

Oh, heck, Michele!  Worrying about them, no matter how old they get.. it never stops!

I must admit though, I worry the most about my daughter.  She drives waaay to fast all the time, and I just don't get it!  What is the damn hurry?  I refuse to ride with her when we go somewhere because she scare the you know what out of me!

    Hugs,
    Jackie

I followed a link here from another journal, and I really enjoy yours.  I have four kids myself, two are teenagers, and I think you and I think alike.  I never imagined how much sleep I would lose waiting for them to come home at night.  I dug up this old teenager-with-a-car journal entry, 'cause I think you will understand.

Love your journal, I'll be back!

Oh wow, I guess thats the benefit of living in a small town for me. I always got stopped and never got a ticket because all the police knew me..lol. To date, I have never had a ticket for speeding and I have been driving for 12 years, I hope that  I can keep the record up..lol.
    hugs,
    Kathi
