Sassy's EYE

I wanted to share these anyway, also the subject of this week's Photo Scavenger Hunt is: green over at Betty's journal covering for Krissy. This grove of Redwoods is at a park called Armstrong Woods in Guerneville, CA. It used to be so calming to go for walks there; in fact on a weekday when there were not too many people around it was like "church" to me. Many of the trees are thousands of years old and so very tall; if ever you would be tempted to hug a tree it would be here! I didn't have any special lenses; once I had hanging on my bulletin board three regular photos pasted together to show the height! The photo below shows a giant stump with mossy roots. I really miss this place!

  Absolutely beautiful. I understand what you mean whey you say it's like a church. The trees have more or less a spiritual effect on me as well.

  Amazing.  I am moving to Northern CA.  this May.  I hope to see some sights like this one.
