You are a subtle smile
On a sunny day
A gentle whisper
As slight as a butterfly
And as a bright star
We see you with an incredible view
Only seen by a few.
You tried your best to teach us before you went away,
We now have a better understanding of what you had to say.
Please always know we love you and no one can take your place,
Though many years will come and go, your memory will not be erased.
So when each day starts without you, we won't seem so far apart,
For every time we think of you, you'll be right here in our hearts.
So God if you are listening in your home from far above,
Would you kiss our darling Pamela and give her all our
love?

We could not easily celebrate AOL Journal's Third Anniversary without remembering and paying our respects to Pamela Caryl Hilger from Just One Girls Head Noise and Just One Girls Head Noise UK , a woman who inspired us with her strength, courage and love of life. Pam courageously battled lung cancer and lost that battle on Easter Sunday 4-16-06 , the date that commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ; a fitting day for such a beautiful woman to become one of  Easter's Angels.

So as we continue along on our celebration, let us remember her - not with tears in our eyes  - but with a smile on our face and with hope in our hearts that we may see her again one day -  but until that time, as long as she is part of our collective memory, she will also always be part of this community and she will "Always Be With Us In Spirit."

In addition to any other comments I would like to ask friends or family members to come forward and share recollections or stories about Pam.
We would truly cherish those memories.
