Subject: ...it's been almost a year
Time: 11:52:41 AM CDT
Author:  seawater999

I haven't posted anything in almost a year.

In the last entry I promised I would post dreams that I've had. I will do so. I just don't know how soon.

I'm being tested in many areas. And I've been learning so much. I've got so much I want to share and I will trust YAH's sovereignty that will be accomplished.

Ex 30: 2-3

Thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty. And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office

I've been learning about the beauty of holiness...and that if there is one thing we should know, seek or ask for, it is to be HOLY as YAH is HOLY.

Ez 43:

11 Son of man, tell the people of Israel all about the Temple so they'll be dismayed by their wayward lives. Get them to go over the layout. That will bring them up short. Show them the whole plan of the Temple, its ins and outs, the proportions, the regulations, and the laws. Draw a picture so they can see the design and meaning and live by its design and intent. (Message Bible)

12 "This is the law of the Temple: All the surrounding area on top of the mountain will be most holy. Such is the law of the temple. (NIV)

From Zion, perfect in beauty, YAH shines forth

I'm Updating...

I haven't posted anything in several months. I'm determined to start up again, I'm also trying to edit older entries and make everything easier to navigate.

I'm going to start by posting all the prophetic dreams I've had since I stopped posting consistently (I write dreams down on paper every morning whenever I have them). So you can expect that before this time next week. Please keep me in prayer, so I have time and don't get distracted or stressed out. Prayer really does make a difference and I appreciate it when anyone does pray for me. I can feel the difference.

YAHUVAH Bless You Abundantly

Persecution Prayer Alert from Open Doors
NOVEMBER 2006

http://www.opendoorsusa.org/Display.asp?Page=pray

Week of the 1st

"Those who wait on the Lord…shall walk and not faint" Isaiah 40:31

Eritrea: * In a large-scale roundup this past week, Eritrean authorities detained 150 Christians from at least five of the country’s outlawed churches. Starting Wednesday, October 25, security officers in the town of Mendefera began going from house to house, arresting local Christians from a list they compiled of known members of Pentecostal churches and the Orthodox renewal movement.
During the first day’s raids, a total of 38 men and 17 women were incarcerated at the military fort in Mendefera, 30 miles south of Asmara. The roundup continued the following morning, October 26, when 95 more Christians were arrested. These arrests pushed the confirmed number of Eritrean citizens known to be jailed solely for their religious beliefs to 2,078. Local sources confirmed to Compass that police authorities were subjecting the detained Christians to beatings and other physical mistreatment. According to eyewitnesses, at least 10 nursing mothers were among the new prisoners, all of whom were forced to leave their infants behind.

Last week the Weekly Prayer Alert included prayers for Helen Berhane, an Eritrean Christian singer. Open Doors is now sponsoring a prayer campaign for her. Dr.Carl Moeller, President/CEO of Open Doors USA, stated, "We are very concerned about the health of Miss Berhane and the welfare of all those who are being held in prisons in Eritrea because of their faith many of them for years. Let’s join in prayer for these persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ."

Please join in prayer for:
- Supernatural strength and comfort for their suffering families.
- The Holy Spirit to give them more faith, courage, love and strength to witness to those around them and to forgive their persecutors.
- Helen’s complete healing and for her release in the near future.
- Jesus to be a constant companion to Helen and the others and that He will use His imprisoned children in ways they cannot imagine.
- The Church in Eritrea will continue togrow despite the persecution they are enduring.

China Letters to Open DoorsFrom a Christian in Shaanxi Province:
"I have investigated many house churches. Small home meetings are allowed here, as long as they follow the Bible. Here in North China there are many house churches. But recently the ‘Three Self’ church has reported us to the law courts. They also put out a lot of propaganda in the local press saying we are a cult. Many of the believers are weak in their faith, but we are definitely not a cult. In the countryside, many people don’t have time to go to church on a Sunday so they prefer to meet on evenings during the week. We are striving to teach orthodox Christian faith! Now we are being helped by a lawyer to defend ourselves against the local officials as we have done nothing wrong. There are still many house churches and believers in northwest China who are suffering persecution."

From Christians in Shandong Province:
"Please pray for our church: In 10 days time our house will be torn down and we will have nowhere to meet. We don’t have anywhere to move to, so the believers are scattered and can’t meet in the evenings. There is division: those who are faithful and love the Lord have been forced to stop preaching. But those who are against the truth of the gospel are allowed to preach in our fellowship. The slogan is being shouted: ‘Annihilate the house churches!’ So some house churches are being persecuted."

A further letter confirms the crackdown in Shandong on the house churches:
"The situation here is very tight. This month the government has been cracking down very hard. Please pray for us!"
Please pray for:
- The Lord to bless the underground church in China with provision and joy.
- The Holy Spirit to give wisdom and strength to all the preachers and teachers who are faithful to the Word of God.
- The accusations being made against them to cease.
- The meetings of believers, that they can worshipand fellowship without fear of harassment or threats.

Week of the 8th

"The prayer of the righteous man is powerful and effective." James 5:16

One of our contacts in the Middle East ran into serious trouble because of literature distribution. Our contact is hiding now. Please pray for his safety and for the safety of those associated with him and his ministry.

Praise Report:* Helen Berhane, the Eritrean gospel singer who was detained by the authorities for more than two years, has been released, according to Amnesty International. Thank you for lifting up prayers for her. Praise God!Indonesia: A team of five Open Doors staff members met with the three Christian Indonesian women in prison in mid September. Eti, Rebekka, and Ratna were sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for teaching the gospel to children. It’s possible that they will be granted an early release in May 2007, after two-thirds of their sentence has been served. Rebekka recounts the following:"During the next 10 months, my desire is to grow in a personal relationship with Christ through His Word. Daily we have activities like gardening, but the most important thing for us to do daily is to become the living testimony of Christ’s love in the prison among all the prisoners and to share the Word of God, even though we have to do it secretly."
Each lady shared during the meeting their heartfelt thoughts on topics such as their stay in prison, what they hope to do once released, and their request for continued prayers.

Rebekka’s Prayer Requests:
Keep praying for us. I know that we have strength to sustain us in our faith because many brothers and sisters around the world are praying for us.
To effectively share the love Christ in this prison and testify of His love.
Please also pray for [our] congregation, that God will provide a new place for them since we haven’t yet found [a] new place.
Pray also for our country, and God’s plan for Indonesia.
Pray that we might be able to understand God’s plan for us. We believe that nothing is a coincidence.
Please pray that we will be able to accomplish His plan.

Week of the 15th

"The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me they will stumble and fall, Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident." Psalm 27:1-4

As a resultof the brutal treatment of North Korean refugees by China, the North Korea Freedom Coalition--which includes Open Doors USA--is planning an International Protestagainst China’s Violent Repatriation of North Korean Refugees. On Saturday, December 2, protests and prayer vigils will be held at Chinese consulates in major cities around the world.

Gaza:* Christians are struggling in the Gaza strip. Palestinians are caught between sanctions and military attacks from the outside world and violence from within. It's a never ending cycle of hopelessness that pushes people to die for a cause. Suicide bombers are borne out of this hopelessness.

Out of the mire, there is an emerging church that's bringing hope to the hopeless. It's supported by Open Doors and Brother Andrew (author of God's Smuggler and founder of Open Doors).

Please Pray:
For courage for believers in Gaza to continue ministering and sharing their faith in the midst of great opposition
For the Lord to meet the very real physical needs of the believers in Gaza such as food, clothing, jobs, and housing
That the newly dedicated Gaza Baptist Church will be a light and blessing to many Muslims in Gaza and for protection of the new building against attacks
That believers will resist the desire to relocate to a safer location and be willing to stay in Gaza to be a witness to their Muslim communities

Week of the 22nd

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17

North Korea: TheChinese government needs to know that Christians around the world are aware of their government’s flagrant human rights violations, and that we are committed to praying and assisting the North Korean refugees. Please consider joining thousands around the world on December 2nd protesting against this injustice and praying for the refugees, many of whom are Christians."

Pray for:
Thegovernment in China; that they will recognize the senselessness of their actions and that God’s wisdom will guide their decisions. Deuteronomy 32:28-29
Christians worldwide as we unite as one Body, one voice, and one heart for the freedom of the North Korean refugees. Matthew 1:19
For our unceasing faith in our Lord, "Now then, stand still and see this great thing the Lord is about to do before your eyes!" 1Samual 12:16

Kenya: On September 5, Open Doors distributed 700 Bibles and 150 children’s Bibles among the Digo and Duruma tribes in the coastal area of Kenya. The Digo tribe is predominantly Muslim, while the Duruma tribe is known and feared for its witchcraft activities. It is reported that fundamental Muslims from the Digo tribe are not very tolerant to the growing number of Christians in the area. Churches have been burned and some Muslim background believers (MBBs) relocated because they feared for their lives

Pray for:

Praise for the delivery of Bibles; pray that the seeds that have been planted will grow and multiply. Psalms 126:6
For the many MBBs who face hostility and persecution; pray that the Prince of Peace will comfort them during difficult times. Luke 24:36

Palestine: Sunday, November 12, was a memorable day for the Gaza Baptist Church as it proudly opened a new building, which serves as the only Christian public library in Gaza. Both Christian and non-Christian books can be borrowed from the large collection on thefirst two floors of the building.
For many years, Open Doors’ founder Brother Andrew has been closely involved in the ministry of this small church in Gaza. During the opening on Sunday, he encouraged and motivated the church: "It’s great to take care of the body, great to take care of their minds by giving them good books, but it is even better to take care of their souls and spread the gospel of Jesus…to show them Jesus."

Pray for:
Thanksgiving for God’s provision of the new library and the many books. 2 Corinthians 9:11
The many opportunities that the new library will provide for sharing God’s love with unbelievers. 1 Peter 4:11

Week of the 29th

"Brothers, pray for us. Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss." 1 Thessalonians 5:25-26

Indonesia:* One of three Muslim extremists on trial for beheading three Christian teenagers in Poso, Indonesia, in October 2005 has admitted to his role in the attacks. A group of machete-wielding men ambushed Theresia Morangke, 15, Alfita Poliwo, 17, Yarni Sambue, 15, and Noviana Malewa, 15, on the morning of October 29 as they walked to their Christian school. Three of the girls died instantly; Only Malewa, who received serious injuries to her face and neck, survived the attack. Known by his single name of Hasanuddin, the defendant has admitted to planning the murders as a "gift" to celebrate Idul Fitri, a festival marking the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. On Monday (November 20), the parents of the slain girls met with the defendants, and one of the mothers said she was ready to pardon them. The families embraced the terrorists and shook hands as a sign of peace.

Please pray for:
The families and friends of the four girls, that God’s love and peace will sustain them. Matthew 11:28-30
Hasanuddin’s salvation, that he will turn away from his Muslim extremist behavior and embrace the gospel of Jesus. Luke 4:35
The government and security officers, that they would work effectively with religious and community leaders in securing peace in Indonesia. Isaiah 2:4
The tour participants, that this trip would strengthen their faith and revive their passion to minister to the Lord in their respective churches. Pray also that their testimonials would in turn strengthen those who live under religious freedom, inspiring by these powerful testimonies of God’s faithfulness in the midst of persecution. Matthew 11:4

North Korea: "We must raise our voices together against China's violent repatriation of North Korean refugees," says North Korea Freedom Coalition Chairman Suzanne Scholte. "The plan for the protest is simple: Wherever you are in the world, go to the nearest Chinese embassy or consulate office at noon on December 2 to take a stand for the suffering North Korean refugees in China. They are being hunted down by the Chinese authorities and forced to return to North Korea where they face torture, imprisonment and even execution for the ‘crime’ of leaving their country."

Persecution Prayer Alert from Open Doors
OCTOBER 2006

http://www.opendoorsusa.org/Display.asp?Page=pray

Week of the 4th

"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better." Ephesians 1:17

Iraq:* In recent days, Open Doors workers in Iraq have reported increased violence against Christians in the country as Ramadan and statements from Pope Benedict XVI have ignited an explosive atmosphere. Reported by Compass Direct, several Christians have been murdered, others have been abused and kidnapped, and churches have been fired upon and bombed.

Please Pray:
-That Christians everywhere will be surrounded by legions of the heavenly host and protected from attacks by extremists who want to use the Pope's speech to spread lies, organize mobs and target Christians.
-That Christians in areas dominated by Muslim fervor will have their eyes opened to see God's protection and can enjoy a calm sense of security.
-That criminals will be prevented from arising where there is a power vacuum in Muslim countries, and not be able to sell their strategies to anyone.
-That many Muslims will be sickened by the violence that extremists advocate and perpetrate and will become hungry for peace and love, and thus be open to the way of forgiveness and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Israel:** Sue Champness of Open Doors reports on the current state of the Church in Israel. Read "The Power of Reconciliation" to see how Open Doors is strengthening Christian women in Israel.

Nigeria:* Jummai opened her tailor’s shop on the morning of September 18 in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa state in northern Nigeria, where Christians are less than 20 percent of the predominantly Muslim population. By that afternoon, her offhand comments exchanged with several Muslim customers had attracted the wrath of local Islamist agitators. According to Compass Direct angry mobs started forming all over town, demanding the Christiantailor be killed for blasphemy against Muhammad. The dispute spiraled into a violent, one-day rampage, leaving 16 churches burned down, six Christian’s injured and at least 2,000 Christian’s homeless.

Please Pray:
-For confidence and peace of mind for our brothers and sisters in Nigeria as they are being watched, or are under surveillance, by enemies of their Christian faith.
-For reconciliation between the Christian and Muslim communities; Pray that the Holy Spirit will move in the hearts of these people in a supernatural way.
-Pray for Jummai and other Christian brothers and sisters who have been harmed during the attacks.

Nigeria Update:
Last week, in response to the violence in Nigeria, Open Doors began to deliver relief aid to alleviate the immediate needs of Christians who have suffered loss in the attacks in Dutse.

Week of the 11th

"He holds victory in store for the upright, He is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for He guards the course of the just and protects the way of the faithful." Proverbs 2:7-8

North Korea announced on Tuesday, October 3rd, that it planned its first underground nuclear test. The North Korean government claimed that it is being forced by a U.S. led "threat of nuclear war and sanctions." In response, announced on Friday, October 6th, the U.N. Security Council reached an agreement to urge North Korea to cancel its planned nuclear test and return immediately to talks regarding scrapping its nuclear weapons program.

In spite of international pressure over the weekend, seismic activity indicates that North Korea tested the nuclear device. The United Nations--led by the US, China, Japan and South Korea--has condemned North Korea’s actions and suggested possible blockades, sanctions, and even military action.

In January of this year Open Doors launched a 3-year campaign to pray for N Korea. This is a prayer chain for which you can sign-up to pray for 10 minutes a week. If you have not yet joined you can enroll today. "No one is a firmer believer in the power of prayer than the devil; not that he practices it, but he suffers from it." - Guy H. King

Please Pray:
- That talks will resume between North Korea and the UN Security Council; that God’s wisdom will be present in the minds of the government officials who are participating in the negotiations.
- That the North Korean government will cease the needless devotion of scarce resources on developing weapons and would instead focus on providing humanitarian relief to the many who are starving and suffering in their country.

Egypt:* An Egyptian Christian teenager escaped from her Muslim kidnappers last week, hours after they had drugged her on a public bus. Compass Direct reported that they threatened to rape her and convert her to Islam if her family did not leave their Nile Delta city of El-Mahala el-Kobra. Held in Cairo’s southern Helwan suburb, Laurence Wagih Emil, 15, escaped the ground-floor room at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3rd while her captors were away, breaking their Ramadan fast. Before family members recovered her, State Security Investigation officials interviewing Laurence Emil told her she would never see her parents again unless she reported a false story, denying the kidnapping.

Please Pray:- Thanksgiving to God for delivering Laurence from her captors; and for her courage and determined resistance during this terrible ordeal.
- That Laurence’s attackers will be brought to justice.
- That the Lord will provide honest and unprejudiced law enforcement officials for this investigation.
- For God’s mighty hand of protection, and the peace of Jesus for this family.
- For all believers living in Egypt; for their deliverance from their enemies.
- For the salvation of all the unbelievers in Egypt.

Week of the 18th

"Though I walk in the midst of trouble You will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me." Psalm 138:7

Indonesia: General Secretary of the Christian Church of Central Sulawesi (GKST), Pastor Irianto Kongkoli, (45), was shot Monday, October 16, in Palu, capital city of Central Sulawesi province. He died instantly from a bullet through the back of his head. Pastor Kongkoli was at a local shop when he was shot, the media reported. Officials have not yet identified the shooter. Pastor Kongkoli became head of the GKST after the former chairman, Rev. Rinaldy Damanik, stepped down from that position. Rev. Damanik was grieved and shocked by this development. "We need pressure from the international world," he said to Open Doors.

Please Pray:
- For Pastor Kongkoli’s family; that God would strengthen and comfort his wife, daughter (18) and son (16).
- For Rev. Damanik; to be given wisdom from the Lord in dealing with this situation. Pray also for the Lord’s constant protection, as he is a prominent Christian figure in Central Sulawesi.
- For the critical situation in Central Sulawesi that Christians would not react with hatred and anger that might lead to further violence. Pray also that the security force will be diligent in securing the area.

Pakistan:* This week one Pakistani bishop found himself fighting a pitched battle to keep blasphemy rumors from igniting riots against his Christian community. "What usually happens is that word [that someone has committed blasphemy] spreads like wildfire and emotions take over," Catholic Bishop Joseph Coutts told Compass. "Once someone starts attacking houses, it’s so easy for the mob attitude to take over." Fresh allegations of blasphemy seem to be nearly a weekly occurrence in Pakistan (107 people were accused in 2005).
Police barely rescued James Masih, 65, and his neighbor Buta Masih, 70, on October 8, from the hands of a violent Muslim mob roused by claims that the illiterate men had burned pages of the Quran. "It was good that police protected them, because we were scared they would be killed," a source told Compass. "400 to 500 fanatics were [outside the police station] all night, but the police held them back and nothing was burned

Please Pray:- That Jesus will defend James and Buta, and protect them from attacks after their release.
- Pray that the blasphemy laws will be repealed.
- Pray for all the Christians in Pakistan; that the Lord will uphold them and help them withstand this constant pressure.

-Remember that although the stories are accurate often the names of the people are fictitious. This is to protect our brothers and sisters from further harm.

- Regarding updates, praise reports and answers to prayers; we will try to provide you with this information as we hear about them. Often we only hear of prayer needs.

-An important request is that we remember to pray for each other - our unity with the Body of Christ is our greatest weapon.

Week of 25th

"For without faith it is impossible to please God, for those who come to Him must believe that He is, and is a rewarder of all those who diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6

ERITREA Country Profile: Approximately half of Eritrea’s population is Christian and the other half is Sunni Muslim. The majority of Christians belong to the traditional Orthodox Church founded in the region in the 4th century, with Catholics and Protestants representing five and two percent, respectively, of the national population.

Since May 2002, the Eritrean government ordered all independent Protestant churches to close down, declaring that only the Orthodox, Catholic, Lutheran and Muslim faiths were legal. Non-official groups were even forbidden to worship privately in their homes. The "unofficial" religions were required to apply for permits from the government of which the majority has been denied. Since 2002 even the "official" churches that applied for permits have faced increased persecution. Recently confirmed statistics indicate that at least 1,918 Eritrean citizens are jailed solely for their religious beliefs, without any access to judicial process. News Report: Open Doors is sad to report that Eritrean security police tortured two Christians to death on October 18, two days after arresting them for holding a religious service in a private home south of Asmara. Immanuel Andegergesh, 23, and Kibrom Firemichel, 30, died from torture wounds and severe dehydration in a military camp outside the town of Adi-Quala, eyewitnesses told Compass Direct. Andegergesh and Firemichel were arrested on Sunday (October 15), along with 10 other Christians, while attending a worship service in the home of Teklezgi Asgerdom. The three women and seven men, all members of the evangelical Rema Church, were kept in military confinement, along with Andegergesh and Firemichel, and subjected to "furious mistreatment," one source said. The fate of the 10 other Christians remains unknown.
Earlier this month, Eritrean authorities returned popular Christian singer Helen Berhane to a military detention camp after she spent three days in Asmara’s Halibet Hospital for medical treatment. Berhane’s leg had been seriously damaged as a result of beatings she received during 29 months of imprisonment in a metal shipping container since her arrest in May 2004. Sources told Compass that Berhane, a member of the Kidane Mehrete Fellowship (previously misreported as the Rema Church), has been transferred back to Mai-Serwa Military Camp and now is able to walk with the help of a cane.

News from Eritrea is always sobering, but we must continue to pray diligently for our brothers and sisters there. We can trust that God will one day remove the government that oppresses their people and that there will be a day of tremendous growth for His church there. Please Pray: - Thanks to God that some news about Helen has been received, after all of these months.
- Pray that Helen will be completely healed and that her light will remain steadfastly shining in this terrible place.
- For all the Christians of Eritrea who are being so mercilessly hunted.
- That Jesus will make Himself known by their ever increasing faith.
- That the Holy Spirit will empower them to bear witness, and to endure this persecution.
- For the realease of the other 10 prisoners and that they will escape further harm.

Persecution Prayer Alert from Open Doors
SEPTEMBER 2006

http://www.opendoorsusa.org/Display.asp?Page=pray

Week of the 6th

"Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink…To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning." Daniel 1:12&17

Sudan: Over the past 23 years, nearly 2 million civilians have died in Southern Sudan and over 4 million have been forced to flee their homes at one time or another due to civil war. Always poorer than the North, the South lost much of their limited infrastructure and public services that existed before the peace agreement was signed on January 9, 2005. Many NGOs left Southern Sudan during the civil war.
Open Doors stayed and kept the same country coordinator, George. Johannes Pretorius, former project manager for the Multi-Purpose Training Center built by Open in Sudan, said "In people like him, you can see growth, the commitment, the calling. Despite all the problems and despite the fact that he had malaria 48 or more times, he never wanted to leave. Now you see the fruit…in educated leaders who…make a difference in churches and in the lives of many people.

Call to Action:
As a member of the Save Darfur Coalition, ODUSA will be participating in the 10 Days of Prayer and Action for Darfur. This international prayer movement will begin September 8th and will culminate with a Day of Prayer and Fasting for Sudan on September 17th. Open Doors has created daily prayer points for each of the 10 days with a different prayer theme focusing on the needs of Christians primarily in Southern Sudan. These requests were especially compiled from Open Doors field workers for these 10 Days of Prayer and Action and are current, pressing needs!

Please Pray:
- That the Holy Spirit will pour out wisdom and strength upon the pastors and church leaders as theystrive to lead their congregations at this unsettled time.
- For unity among the Christians despite tribal divisions.
- For forgiveness and reconciliation.
- For the churches to be strengthened with a renewed zeal for evangelism.
- Thanks for leaders such as George, for his health andsafety, and for more leaders to come forward.
- For the training center, for the seeds that have been planted to produce fruits in the hearts of the people of Sudan.

Week of the 13th

"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow….For we are God’s fellow workers, you are God’s field, God’s building." I Corinthians 3:6,7,9.

Sudan: Open Doors’ Africa Services Director, JP, has been involved with the construction and development of the Multi-Purpose Training Center (MPTC) in Southern Sudan. Describing the atmosphere of the training center, JP said "joy and happiness…you see peace and hope as well -- hope that the situation will change, that the people of Southern Sudan will have a better future and hope that the education of the students at the MPTC will make a lasting change in the lives of many people." When asked about the future importance of the MPTC, JP answered, "The church in Southern Sudan is very unstable, very weak. People never had the possibility to study or to be trained. This is different now, thanks to the training center." Students who come to the center are not educated, but they are very intelligent and very eager to learn, hungry for the Word of God, and hungry to learn more skills. Although the students are extremely poor and cannot pay for the tuition, Open Doors has been able to not only provide support for the construction of the center but now also provides financial support for their education.

Give Thanks! We rejoice in the wonderful fruit of the faith and hard work and persistence of the Sudanese Christians; and the sustaining prayer and support of our Open Doors family!

Please Pray:
- For wisdom and strength for the pastors and church leaders who have been trained at the MPTC.
- For the expansion of the MPTC to accommodate the many servants whom God is calling.
- For God to provide continued protection for the teachers, students, and facilities as the LRA is still a threat in Southern Sudan.

Eritrea:* Information gathered from compiled statistics smuggled out of Eritrea indicate that at least 1,918 Eritrean citizens are imprisoned and subjected to torture and forced labor because of their religious beliefs; 95 percent of these known religious prisoners of conscience are Christian. Of the total numberin prison, 35 are pastors, priests, and church elders under arrest in Asmara’s Wongel Mermera investigation center. In 14 other cities and towns, an additional 1,758 Christians of both evangelical Protestant and Orthodox confessions are jailed. According to reports compiled by Compass Direct, many were arrested while simply attending prayer meetings in private homes. Since the arrests began 4 years ago, none have yet been brought before a court of law to be charged or tried.

Please Pray:
- For the faith and courage of all these prisoners.
- That Jesus himself will speak to their hearts.
- For the salvation of the persecutors, that their hearts will be pierced with the Gospel.
- For their families’ welfare and that the Lord will comfort and encourage them.

Week of the 20th

"Jesus said, ’Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’ " Matthew 19:14

Colombia: A team from ODUSA visited Colombia in July. On this trip they met the children of a Christian mother who was murdered on July 7th. Although the children’s names have been changed for this story, Michael (14), a sister Ana who is 9 years old, and a younger brother (3) are now living in a home that receives Open Doors support. When Michael first arrived at the home, he was especially traumatized because he had witnessed his mother being shot by a hired gunman. Thank the Lord for the opportunity given to these children to receive comfort and love in the home, and for the opportunity He gave these Christian visitors to minister to His beloved flock.

Please Pray:
-That the children--Michael, Anna and their young brother--will come to know Jesus as their Savior; and that they will find comforting arms and loving hearts to help them.
-For the grandparents who are caring for the baby, who was only 5 months old at the time of the murder.
-For the children’s father who had left the country; that he will return and be a Godly leader for the family.
-For the many Colombian children who live in the midst of danger and terrible violence.
-Against the unending persecution and fear that reigns in Colombia.

"Look upon my suffering and deliver me, for I have not forgotten your law. Defend my cause and redeem me; preserve my life according to your promise. Your compassion is great, O Lord; Preserve my life according to your laws." Psalm 119:153, 154, 156.

Iran: Recently the United States took Iran to task for its "harsh and oppressive treatment" of religious minorities, including Christians. In its annual "Report on International Religious Freedom" around the world, the State Department said it found a further deterioration in what it called "the extremely poor status of respect for religious freedom" in Iran. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is on a three-day visit to New York City and is scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly. The following is an update on the status of persecuted Christians in Iran.
The situation in Iran is very similar to that of the first century church: mass conversions, persecution, signs and wonders, visions and dreams and even multiple wives. Only God knows how many thousands of Iranian Muslims have come to Christ through Christian satellite TV broadcasts. Most of the new believers are young and very passionate about their faith in Christ, although, out of fear, most remain "secret believers" not connected to any church or house church. Christians report that persecution has increased markedly and that believers are experiencing much greater hardship since the election of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in August 2005, who has pledged to restore an Islamic government in Iran.

Please Pray:
-Against the present government and leadership in Iran, that God will soften their hearts to be open to His love.
-That the leaders at the UN General Assembly meetings who hear President Ahmadinejad speak will not be swayed by his false talk.
-That the Lord will raise up prayer from every corner of the world for the country of Iran.
-That God will protect and comfort His people in Iran and that the Holy Spirit will give them power to witness in every situation.
-That the presence of Jesus will be evident among them as never before.

Week of the 27th

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor." Luke 4:18-19

Nigeria:* A mob of Muslim youths injured six Christians, one critically, and burned 10 churches last week in Dutse, capital of Jigawa state in northern Nigeria. The attacks were sparked by allegations that a Christian woman, identified only as a tailor named Jummai, had blasphemed the Muslim prophet Muhammad. Demanding that she be stoned, angry Muslims went on a rampage, destroying several churches, 20 Christian homes and 40 shops and leaving more than 1,000 Christians displaced. Reported by Compass Direct, police have detained the accused woman for questioning, along with more than 20 suspects involved in the mob attacks.

Please Pray:
For the Lord to protect Jummai in these terribly dangerous circumstances.
That Jesus will make His presence with her so evident that even her jailers will perceive it.
That her life will be spared, and she will be able to return to her home and her family and her livelihood.
For Nigeria, that this terrible destruction targeted at the Christian community will be brought to an end.

Pakistan:* A young Pakistani Christian jailed last week on suspicion of ripping book pages containing Quranic verses appealed to Punjabi police yesterday through his lawyer for his case to be cancelled for lack of evidence. According to lawyer Khalil Tahir Sindhu, the sole evidence against Shahid Masih, 17, was the testimony of a Muslim man already accused of the same crime. If convicted of breaking article 295-B of the Pakistan Penal Code, Masih will serve a life sentence.

Sahotra, a Christian representative employed to secure his release is convinced Masih has been falsely accused. More than 200 Islamist extremists attended the first hearing against Masih and his Muslim accuser Muhammad Ghaffar before a judicial magistrate in Faisalabad on September 14, Sindhu said. According to Compass Direct at least 23 people, Muslims as well as Christians, involved in blasphemy cases have been murdered in Pakistan since the laws were instituted in the 1980s.

Please Pray:
For Shahid’s safety in prison as he awaits further hearings.
For the Lord to give Shahid and his family courage, increased faith, and the peace that only Jesus can give.
For the Lord to give wisdom to those who make the laws in Pakistan, that they can find a way to rescind this unjust law.

Subject: What are “The First & Second Resurrections”?
Time: 11:14:49 AM CDT

What are "The First & Second Resurrections"?

1 Cor 15: 16-18 For if the dead are not raised, then YAHSHUA has not been raised either. And if YAHSHUA has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in YAHSHUA are lost.

1 Cor 15: 20-26 But YAHSHUA has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in YAHSHUA all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: YAHSHUA, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

Persecution Prayer Alert from Open Doors
AUGUST 2006

http://www.opendoorsusa.org/Display.asp?Page=pray

Week of the 2nd

"Know, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us form the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord." Romans 8:37 – 39

I am sure you have been praying about the many terrible situations we see and hear on every news cast. But today we want to focus with you upon Israel, Lebanon, and Gaza. We of all people have hope and faith, not in ourselves but in the God of All Hope.

Israel and Lebanon: In the last few days we have heard from several of our Open Doors contacts in Israel and Lebanon. So far, attacks and problems are concentrated in the north of Israel and the south of Lebanon. However, the ‘headquarters’ of Hezbollah are in Jordan and there are also factions in Syria. These prayer requests are from Galilee, East Jerusalem, Israel, Gaza, and Lebanon: "Your prayers are very vital and much needed."
In Lebanon today, at least twenty percent of the population has been uprooted and they have gone to stay with relatives or friends at hotels, in parks, at schools, and in monasteries. Various churches and church groups have put together their meager resources and shown up at these places with food and prayer. Sometimes they hear the response, "The last time we were forced to leave we came here, so we knew you were going to help us once more." So there are wonderful opportunities for the Christian Church to reach out to people who have had very little contact with Christians in the past.

Please Pray:
That this war will not spread throughout the entire region.
For the believers caught in the conflict and for their protection; pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for peace in the West Bank and Gaza strip.
That we will not face more serious humanitarian disasters in these areas and that people will be able to provide for their families.
For Gaza as less attention is given in the news lately, but fighting is still ongoing in this area.
That no more innocent civilians will be killed.
For essential needs like food and medicines to be supplied in Lebanon in spite of the blockade and in Gaza despite the fighting.
For God to deflect Hezbollah missiles away from their targets--this happened in the 1991 Gulf War and it can happen again as we pray. Pray also that Israeli counterattacks will not errantly destroy schools and hospitals, or kill women and children as they attempt to dismantle the Hezbollah forces.

China:* According to Compass Direct, the China Aid Association (CAA) reported that government raids of two house churches last week resulted in the arrest of about 80 Christians. Six policemen interrupted a fellowship meeting of 43 Christians in Hubei province, south of Beijing, and detained 20 of them on July 21. Eight were sentenced to 10 to 15 days in jail, while the rest were released by 5:30 p.m. that day. Police also confiscated Christian books from the home. On July 19 in Henan province, authorities detained and interrogated more than 60 house church members, CAA reported. So far, CAA has documented 1,958 arrests in 2005 and 2006. Despite this persecution, let us give thanks and praise to the Lord for these persistent lovers of God and His Word!

Please pray:
For the joy and encouragement of the Holy Spirit for the many Chinese believers who have been arrested, harassed, and imprisoned for being faithful witnesses.
For the Lord to supply the needs of those who have suffered heavy fines and confiscation of their property.
For those who are now in prison, that Jesus would make His presence known to them, with signs and miracles. And our Chinese brothers and sisters always ask us to pray that, "Our witness will not falter, and our fellow prisoners will come to know their Savior."

Week of the 9th

"Finally be strong in the LORD and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." - Ephesians 6:10-12

Bangladesh: Monwar, a former Muslim who embraced the Christian faith and was baptized three months ago in Tangail district, Bangladesh, has been faced with increasing persecution. Recently his own uncle, Juran, (a Muslim) filed several false charges against Monwar and his family. One of the false charges is recounted below:

"Monwar is an armed gangster, creating atrocities in the village. On July 12, at 9 o’clock in the morning, Monwar was trying to build a pillar on our land, which he illegally acquired. My wife, Kohinur, who was pregnant at that time, came to stop him. Monwar caught her by her hair, kicked her in her belly, and stabbed her with a heavy iron knife on the chest, clearly intent on killing her."

Kohinur was indeed injured and is hospitalized in serious condition, but it was not Monwar’s doing. Monwar has denied all of the charges against him.

Please Pray:
-For Monwar and his family, that the truth will prevail by God’s mighty power.
-For their protection from physical harm, and encouragement directly from our Heavenly Father.
-For Kohinur: She is in serious condition and there is a danger of miscarriage. Ask Jesus to spare the life of her and her baby. Please pray also for her salvation.
-For the believers in Tangail District, that the presence of Jesus Himself will give them more faith and power to maintain their witness in spite of persecution.

Mexico: On July 28 in Chiapas, after seven years in jail, a sentence of 25 years was pronounced by the SecondDistrict Judge to the third group (case 46) of prisoners in the Acteal "massacre" case after their previous sentence of 36 years, 3 months had been nullified in 2002. However, one prisoner who is very ill was released.

A total of 76 prisoners are in prison for allegedly participating in the murder of 45 Tzotzil Indians, including 37 women and children, and injuring 17 others, in an armed confrontation on December 22, 1997, in the Acteal area of the municipality of Chenalho, Chiapas. Over half of these men are evangelical believers from the Chenalho community. Most of these prisoners were unjustly arrested and have been imprisoned for the past seven years.

Please Pray:
-For the Lord’s own justice to break through these spiritual and political barriers.
-For the innocent to soon be released, with praise and glory given to God.
-For the witness of these men to be sustained by the power of the Holy Spirit.
-For their families to be full of unfaltering confidence in Christ and able, by His mighty power, to comfort each other and their imprisoned loved ones.

Week of the 16th

"To love Him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength and to love your neighbour as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." Mark 12:33

Labib, a friend of Open Doors who works with the Palestinian Bible Society, visited our office in Southern California earlier this year, and, while we have spent many hours praying for him and the ministries in Palestine, he said that he has been praying for us! We had planned to bless him that day, but he instead blessed as by again praying for the ministry of Open Doors. When we asked why, reminding him that we were not living in danger as he was, he simply stated that we were in danger of becoming weak. Labib said that we needed to arm ourselves with the blood of Jesus and be prepared to love our brothers and sisters. Not just Christian brothers and sister but all mankind, regardless of religion, race, political position, age…..He prayed that we use each and every breath we take to "love [our] neighbor as [ourselves]"- James 2:8. Labib provides an inspiring example of how he lives in the midst of the conflict and gives us all a promise of hope.

Palestine: Labib Madanat spoke this week to the Open Doors staff in the United Kingdom. He recounted the struggles and decisions that face him daily. This past February, the Palestinian Bible Society in Gaza City received a terrorist threat: "Close and leave Gaza by the end of the month or be bombed." The Bible Society staff counted the cost, surrendered their lives to Christ, and refused to leave despite the real threat to their lives. Labib Madanat, a Jordanian Christian who is the director of the Palestinian Bible Society, explains that the Bible Society is called to serve the Palestinian people including the Muslims. The Society's commitment to love and to serve their ‘beloved’ Muslims continues, uninterrupted.

Labib asks Christians in the West to pray that:
-The Church inthe Middle East will be clean and stand for righteousness, justice, peace and reconciliation.
-The Church in Lebanon will seize the opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ; to take the towel of Jesus and wash the feet of the tired, persecuted, and bewildered refugees running away from the fighting in Lebanon.
-The Church in Palestine and the Messianic Jews in Israel will be given the grace and power to rise up to live according to how Christ wants them to live.
-The voice of the Gospel is heard and Christians have the boldness to speak to the Muslim Arabs, and to their friends.
-That Arab Christians will have real love for the Jewish people beyond all politics.
-Labib and other Palestinian Christians will become more engaged with the Muslim communities in the disputed territories, and for the Lord to create opportunities for Muslims to taste and see how good He is.

Week of the 23rd

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." I Corinthians 15:58

Iran:* Seven years after Issa Motamedi Mojdehi converted from Islam to Christianity, Iranian secret police jailed him for abandoning Islam--but officially charged him with illegal drug trafficking. Authorities formally charged the 31-year-old Christian with drug trafficking when he was arrested two weeks ago. But secret police officials have told Motamedi Mojdehi that his real offense, said to be recorded in his confidential legal file, is "abandoning Islam." Officials told him that unless he renounces his Christian faith and returns to Islam, he will remain in jail and possibly face execution. An officer, identified only as Mr. Baghani, warned the arrested Christian that it might take "several executions" before Iranians understand the consequences of apostasy under Islamic law. Local sources have confirmed that Motamedi Mojdehi and his wife Parvah, who also converted to Christianity, "came to the attention of the authorities" in January, when they chose a name from the Bible, Micah, for their newborn son. The jailed Christian and his wife are members of a local house church group and, in addition to their infant son, they have an 8-year-old daughter, Martha.

Security officials told Motamedi Mojdehi that no one outside Iran would ever know or care about him, informed sources told Compass.

Please Pray:

Thanksgiving that thousands and even millions of Christians will hear of this unjust imprisonment of Issa and will pray for his release.
For Issa’s health and that he will not be tortured
That Issa’s witness will remain strong in the midst of all opposition
That the Holy Spirit will strengthen and comfort Issa and his wife, Parvah, and that their children will be protected. For all of the Christians in Iran, that this threat of "many executions" will never be carried out.

China:* On Thursday, August 17, Chinese authorities released Zan Aizong, a journalist who reported on the Hangzhou City police using force to demolish an unregistered church building and beating hundreds of believers on July 29. Zan, 37, the former China Ocean News bureau chief in Zhejiang Province, was arrested on Aug. 11 for "spreading rumors and disturbing social order." Two days before his arrest, Zan received a notice from his employer that he was "no more suitable for the job." In a telephone interview on Sunday August 20 Zan said, "As a journalist, my responsibility is to report the truth, even though it means losing my job." After Zan’s arrest, Reporters without Borders launched an appeal for his release. His Chinese friends also supported him by writing articles and calling for international attention. One of them, Yu Jie, is a famous Chinese writer who became a Christian about three years ago. According to Yu, Zan visited his church several times and was recently baptized in a house church in Hangzhou. Yu wrote, "As a one-month-long baptized Christian, Zan Aizong is practicing what [is] taught in the Bible, ‘Mourn with those who are mourning, to be chained with those who are being chained.’"

Yu believes Zan’s experience in jail will only make him identify more with the plight of believers in the unregistered Church. Zan agreed, telling Compass, "I had a sense of joy when I was in custody, because I knew it was for the glory of God. We shall overcome the evil with good." Zan also said, "As a journalist, I report the truth; as a Christian, I spread God’s love."

Please Pray:

Thanksgiving to the Lord for Zan’s release, and even more for his newfound faith in Jesus.
For Zan’s continued courage, freedom and witness.
For the others who have spoken up in his defense.
Rejoice in the light that Jesus continues to bring into China through His Church

Week of the 30th

"Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain: and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit." James 5:17, 18

Saudi Arabia* Four East African Christians were deported last month after they were detained while leading a prayer service in Jeddah; where approximately 250 Eritreans and Ethiopians were worshipping. Arrested on June 9, four church leaders were beaten and imprisoned for more than a month in torturous conditions. The day after their arrest authorities transferred the Christians to a civil police station where they were beaten and forced to sign a 10 page document. "We don’t know what (it was) because it was all in Arabic," Masai Wendewson, one of the arrested men said. "We didn’t ask them because we were afraid for our lives." Wendewesen told Compass Direct that the Christians were never formally notified of the charges against them. He further stated that his East African congregation had been meeting in a rented villa for five years with the tacit approval of Saudi authorities. "Twice the muttawa (religious police) visited us and told us there would be no problem for us to gather and pray if we were all of the same nationality. Saudi officials continue to maintain that Christians are free to worship in the privacy of their homes. Since their arrest the men have been deported to their respected countries.

Please Pray:
-For the four faithful shepherds; that The Great Shepherd of the sheep will guide them to the places of refuge and provision that they need.
-For Eritrea; a country notorious for its persecution of Christians, and for Saudi Arabia and the Christians living within its borders
-That the gospel preached in prison there will produce much fruit
-For the muttawa; that the Holy Spirit will soften their hearts and release the political and religious grip that they have on Saudi Arabia

India* Multiple attacks and arrests in recent weeks demonstrate ongoing hostility towards Christians in India. Police have cooperated with Hindu extremists, in some cases claiming "tremendous pressure" to charge Christian ministers with forced conversion. On August 20, extremists burst into a church service in Kolar district, Karnataka state, beating the pastor and his assistant. In Andhra Pradesh state, police on August 21 arrested a priest for allegedly burning portraits of Hindu deities and in another state, Madhya Pradesh, interrogated a pastor after Hindu extremists attacked his church service on August 20.

Please Pray:

-For God’s healing hand to sooth all the wounds inflicted during the attacks, to return all those injured to full health
-For an end to the mounting escalations of violence and arrests in India
-For the brothers and sisters living under this harsh persecution to remain strong in their faith, with boldness and courage
-For an end to all the harsh words, false reports and accusations; but in the midst there are opportunities for the light and truth of Jesus to shine

Subject: THE  TRINITY  IS  JEWISH
Time: 9:49:25 PM CDT

I think this is a really nice essay.
from http://www.menorah.org/trinity1.html

THE  TRINITY  IS  JEWISH

By Rachmiel Frydland

Most modern Jewish people seem to have made their "peace" with [YAHSHUA] of Nazareth. Some consider Him to be a great, Jew, or even the greatest Jew who ever lived. Some of our Jewish leaders, as Dr.Heinrich Graetz and Dr. Joseph Klausner, compliment Him on His teaching. Some admire His parables and purity. as Moses Montefiore; and Some as Sholem Asch and others, even consider Him to be the Messiah of the Gentiles. Today we often meet Jewish people who acknowledge that Jesus is the Messiah for Jew and Gentile alike; and some are even willing to share these convictions with other Jewish people. What then holds such Jewish people back from joining with us and accepting [YAHSHUA] as their personal Lord and Savior?

The hindrance some have expressed to the writer of this article is the reluctance to accept the fact that Jesus is supernatural. Moreover, from childhood we have been inculcated with Maimonides' Thirteen Principles one of which is:

I firmly believe that the Creator, blessed be his name, is One: that there is no oneness in any form like his;
& that he alone was, is, & ever will be our God.

We have been thus brought up to think that if we believe that God is One, then this idea excludes any idea of God manifesting Himself through [YAHSHUA] the Messiah. This Christian concept of God's triunity seemed to us to be a Gentile and pagan idea. NOT SO! Christians, as well as Jewish people, must believe in One God. There is no other. The God of Abraham. Isaac, and Jacob is the God of the Jewish people and of the Christians. The Hebrew Scriptures of the Old Testament are authoritative for the Jew and for the Christian. In them is found the confession that is authoritative for all of us.

Hear. O Israel. the LORD our God, the LORD IS ONE. (Deu. 6:4)

TRIUNITY IN TENACH (Old Testament)

While it is universally admitted by both Jews and Christians that God is One and that there is no one beside Him, we are also compelled to acknowledge that the triunity of God is clearly taught in the Torah, the Prophets. and in the Writings --- that is in the whole Tenach, the Hebrew Scriptures of the Old Testament, & the New Testament. Not only in the Tenach but also in the Talmudical & Rabbinical writings this concept is well known. Space does not permit us to present proofs from all the sources in this short article. Here we present just a few challenging proofs:

THE TORAH: When God (Elohim) create the world He wanted to make absolutely clear to His creation that He is not some abstract mathematical unitarian principle with no analogy in all creation, as some of our philosophers tried to present Him under Aristotelian influence. Instead we read in the holy Torah these words:

And (Elohim) said. Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle,& over all the earth.
(Genesis 1:26)

Elohim made man, a being composed of a triunity --- body, soul and spirit, in the image of God;

and to make this more clear God reveals Himself in His plural form of Elohim and says,
"Let us make man."

Even those of our rabbis who do not accept as yet the triunity of God, realize that this verse is clear support for such teaching. Thus in Midrash Rabbah on Genesis we find the following comments on the verse: Rabbi Samuel bar Nahman in the name of Rabbi Jonathan said, that at the time when Moses wrote the Torah; writing a portion of it daily, when he came to this Verse which says, "And Elohim said let us make man in our image after our likeness," Moses said, Master of the Universe why do you give herewith an excuse to the sectarians (who believe in the triunity of God). God answered Moses, You write and whoever wants to err let him err.

But surely God did not make Moses to write the whole Scriptures in order to make people err. but rather to show them the right way and the right revelation, namely that the One God is a triune God who calls Himself Elohim and who says. Let us make man.

THE PROPHETS: There are many Scripture verses which show clearly that God manifested Himself also as the Word by which He created heaven and earth and by which He leads and directs creation. He also manifested Himself as the Ruakh Hakodesh, the Holy Spirit, who inspired the prophets of God and who did mighty miracles through the great judges of Israel, Gideon, Samson, and David. We want to point out one Scripture which compels us to admit the triunity of God. Isaiah the prophet speaks in the name of God and says:

Come near unto me. hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning: from the time that it was, here am I: and now [YAHUVEH] GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me. (Isaiah 48:16)

Here God calls the people to come to Him, but He is sent by [YAHUVEH] the Lord GOD and His Spirit. Exactly the same teaching as we have found in the Torah. we find also in the teachings of God's prophets. How else can it be? The same God who commanded Moses to manifest His triunitarian nature commands also the Hebrew Prophets to do the same.

THE WRITINGS: Very clearly we find the same teaching about God in the Psalms and in the other writings of the Hebrew Scriptures. We read in Psalm 2 where the Holy Spirit, the Ruakh Hakodesh, speaks through David and says:

I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son: this day have I begotten thee. (Psalm 2:7)

Here is the Holy Spirit speaking through David and instructing David, that the LORD, which is in Hebrew the [name YAHUVEH] has a Son who is begotten of God in a most supernatural way. Maybe King David himself did not well understand the words that he was commanded to write by the Holy Spirit; but as Moses and Isaiah. he obeyed. Be wrote this down for us so that there be no misunderstanding. God who is almighty manifests Himself as a triunity, leaving us no doubt as to His nature.

IS TRINITY JEWISH?

But is such a concept Jewish? Is it not some Gentile or pagan concept that has somehow crept into our Holy Scriptures as some extreme liberalists would like to tell us? No, this was and still is a Jewish conception of God creating and dealing with His creation and His people Israel in a triune way. This quotation bears it out: Exodus 19 starts with the words, "In the third month." This is explained by the words of Proverbs 22:20, "Have I not written to thee excellent(Hebrew, threefold) things in counsels and knowledge." On this Rabbi Joshua bar Nehemiah said that this is the Torah whose letters are threefold, alf, bet, g(i)ml, and everything is a Trinity: The Torah is trinitarian, for it is composed of the Torah, the Prophets, and the Writings. The Mishna (talmudical learning) is a trinity composed of talmud (learning) halakhot(daily Jewish laws) and haggadot (historical items). The mediator consisted of a trinity of Miriam, Moses, & Aaron. Prayers are a trinity of morning, afternoon, and evening prayers. Israel is a trinity consisting of priests, Levites and Israelites. The name Moses in Hebrew consists of three letters. He is of the tribe of Levi, which again is in the Hebrew three letters. from the seed of the Patriarchs who are a trinity of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; in the third month which is Sivan, after Nisan & Iyar on mount Sin whose letters are three as it is written. "And they rested in the wilderness of Sin.".(Midrash Tanhuma on Exodus 19)

If, according to our rabbis', God has made everything and arranged everything in a trinitarian way. then it must also be Jewish and biblical to know that God, Himself is a Trinity. This He is and has manifested Himself as the Savior, Messiah, and Son of God in the person of the Lord [YAHSHUA], the Messiah. He then sent down the Holy Spirit, the Ruakh Hakodesh, on the Disciples in the third month, of the Feast of Shavuoth, the feast of perfection, celebrated after counting seven times seven.

TRINITY AND COMMON SENSE

But. can three be one? Does not common sense rebel against such a statement? Must we not state categorically that God is either One or Three? Not so. As a matter of fact everything you come in contact with is not a mathematical concept of one, but usually an item composed of a trinity. The ancient Greek philosopher reasoned out the theory of atoms by simply watching a black cow, eating green grass, and then giving white milk. All things are composed of millions and billions of atoms; but the atom itself is a trinity of a proton. electron and nucleus. Perhaps we could best express it in the words of Dr. Henry Heydt:

In Romans 1:20 Paul uses the creation of the kosmos as demonstrating this Godhead (theiotes). The universe ... is an absolute triunity of space, time, and matter. Each of these in turn is an absolute triunity. Space consists of length, breadth, and depth (or height): time is future, present, and past; matter is energy, motion, and phenomena. Here we have not merely an illustration of three in one --- as in the case of light, heat, and ultra-violet rays of the sunbeam, or the manifestation of H2O [each molecule, three atoms] as liquid, ice, and steam --- but an absolute trinity composed of three absolute triunities.

WHAT IS THE MEANING TO YOU ?

We now have only to answer the question. "What does it all matter?" The answer is that it matters very much. It proves the truth of God's Word. The most important thing is, what the Jewish Messiah [YAHSHUA] said, "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Do you want peace in your heart & peace with your Creator? Receive this gift of God; confess your sins and believe in God's Son, the Korban (sacrifice) for your sins. Then you will be saved & have perfect peace in your heart. "But as many as received him to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12)
