Guest Editor
Hi there, I'm Jennifer, a new-ish editor at AOL Diet & Fitness. This is my first blog and it's all about my training for another first -- my first marathon this November. I'm NOT a runner. In fact, I only started running seriously a little over year ago as a way to distract me from and help me get over a bad breakup. Now I can barely even remember his name. (That's not true). But what is true is that I'm stronger than ever. I'm now just 9 weeks away from the marathon and I'm excited to see what happens. I was thrilled when I was asked to be this week's guest editor, because I have the opportunity to give you a roundup of some of my favorite running, diet, and fitness blogs out there. They are:
My fellow editors on the Diet & Fitness team have a pretty rockin’ blog -- and I’m not just saying that because I’m one of the contributors. We all have wildly different body types, goals, backgrounds, and experiences, and we dish daily about everything diet-related, from a celeb’s new detox plan, to our favorite foods and workouts, and even one editor’s quest for a better booty. You name it, we blog it.
She runs marathons and struggles with her weight. It’s very honest. I love it.
If it’s fat-free, low-carb, reduced-sugar, no-cal, or otherwise diet-friendly, then they’ve tasted it and reviewed it. It’s awesome.
Running Chick with the Orange Hat
As a runner I’m inspired by this woman. From marathons to triathalons, she’s done it all. I love her blog because gives an honest and humorous account of the ups, downs, and sometimes just plain bizarre things that happen to you and your body when you run. Plus there’s lots of great tips and advice and links to good running resources.
Beyond just telling you what’s newin the diet world, this site exposes some of the uglier truths about theindustry.
Okay, so it’s not the healthiest blog around, but I love my pizza and have been reading this blog dedicated to my favorite food since I discovered it a year ago. Pizza places nationwide, the best takeout, recipes, books, it’s all here.

Good for you Jennifer! I can relate to your desire to run a marathon because I too am training to run my first, the LA Marathon. I was running well until my son broke his arm, which caused me to delay my training. Now, I am training again but it is hard to make up for lost time.
