Hopelessness

A friend of mine over at the Buduburam Refugee camp in Ghana Africa took this picture for me. This is a man who is only 45 years old. He suffered from a stroke recently. He applied to go to America, but those reviewing his application denied him telling him that due to a hand that was already dysfunctional, he wouldn't be of any use to America. After that he sat day after day in his dark little home on the refugee camp, having lost all hope for the future. Not going out to do anything, just staying there hour after hour. One day he had a stroke. Now he's partially paralyzed. His fiance' left him now.
I often think about how America seems almost like heaven to the people over there in Africa. What can be done now for this man? Is he just waiting around to die because they've told him he's useless? Who will take care of him? They don't have an elaborate nursing home system there for care of the elderly. And...he's only 45, he's not even elderly.
45 is too young to give up on life. Yes, someday all those who belong to God will go to that a great heavenly abode. But in the meantime we have to comfort the destitute, the ones who have lost all hope in this life.
If anyone is interested in helping this man please contact me. I am committed to regularly helping some others on the camp. I can only do just one little thing for him.
Can anyone take this man under their wing? I will give you his name and address in Ghana and you can write to him directly. He has no way to get out to an internet cafe' to find people to talk to in America. If he can't come to America, can we in America at least befriend him and comfort him somehow?

(cont.) I can testify, GOD WILL answer you, if you DON'T GIVE UP! Pray until HE does.
When I was 18 I had a horrendous earache. It woke me up in the night.
Pain was excruciating-never had I even imagined such pain existed.
Muffling screams with my pillow, I cried out to GOD to heal me.
(I didn't want to disturb anyone in the house, as I was their guest.)
I tried to do as those JESUS healed thousands of years ago had done...
I worshiped HIM, called HIM Master, said, YOU can heal me, if YOU will...please heal me!
At that time I had never seen or met anyone who had had a miracle healing from GOD, but I read in the Bible that JESUS is the same yesturday, today, and forever...so I KNEW HE still heals! I had also read of many miracles GOD had done for others in Kathryn Kuhlman's book: I Believe in Miracles.
So, I just kept screaming out to HIM, in my prayers I was 'filling the universe' with my crys for help.
I didn't have a clock, but soon (15 to 30 minutes) GOD healed me!
ALL the pain left forever! Hallelujah!
Thank YOU, JESUS! -
Praise the LORD for sisters like you.
As I read your story I was reminded of the poor man named Lazarus who was sick (maybe even lame?) and was laid daily outside the rich man's gate...
the one JESUS told us of in Luke 16.
IF only this man knows the Saviour...all will be well soon.
That poor man's story always gives me so much courage to face ANYTHING and EVERYTHING knowing even should I have nothing here on earth ...I would even choose poverty, rags, the worst of life on earth as long as I know the MASTER and SAVIOUR and HIS salvation.
And GOD wants to care for us now, too.
GOD still does MIRACLES!

please send me his name and address, Kasia. I'll send him some letters and cards. Hopefully he can read English. I feel so bad. I wish financially I could do something, and God willing, maybe I will, but at least I can write to him and pray for him. Please send me his information. Thanks! You are an absolute angel how much you care about these people & how you try to love as many as you can. You have a HUGE heart! God bless you, sweetie!!

We have many examples in the Bible, too:
Daniel prayed and fasted until he recieved his answer about a dream he had had.
Hannah prayed for a son.
The people prayed until Peter was delivered from prison...an angel broke him out.
GOD is still the same.
And the Bible says GOD is not a respector of persons, what HE does/has done for others, HE will do for you, or me, or ANYBODY!
We certainly will be praying for your friends in this and other refugee camps.
AND DO SOMETHING TO HELP THEM, too.
I pray this man is saved (if he isn't already) and 100% healed, too. I pray GOD restores to him all that the palmer worm, the canker worm and all the other devils have taken from him...plus blesses him with the ABUNDANCE OF LIFE that JESUS came to give us.
You know the Righteous, Peace, and JOY in the HOLY GHOST abundant LIFE?!
:)
Hey, I pray that for everyone. (even me!)
Thanks for brightening up my year with your journal, sis.
Merry Christmas
Cammie
