Last night on the TV nightly news they said that the Evangelical Christians have now joined together to fight Global Warming.  I turned to Bob and said, "I bet you Rick Warren in involved in this."  Then they turn the camera to none other than Rick Warren!  Oh, but of course!   What part of the earth's elements will melt and be destroyed by fire didn't they understand if they read the Bible? 2 Peter 3:10-13.  They've got commercials and everything.  How out of touch with reality are these people?  What about the depleted Uranium that's poisoning the troops and the Iraqi's?   

2 Peter 3:10-13 10But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.[a]

 11Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.[b]That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.

Despite opposition from some of their colleagues, 86 evangelical Christian leaders have decided to back a major initiative to fight global warming, saying "millions of people could die in this century because of climate change, most of them our poorest global neighbors."

  I was surprised to hear awhile back that a lot of Christians don't believe in global warming. I believe in it though because there are so many pieces of evidence that support it, and I have seen videos of massive pieces of ice melting and falling into the ocean that have always been frozen, and it is obvious that the earth is getting hotter. I do believe God is constructing this though and that it is not just a normal part of nature.

  When I look at this verse in 2 Peter 3:10-13 I don't really think of global warming but that's interesting. It could be one of the ways God will bring judgement upon the earth.

  you are so much more in-the-know about what's going on.

  I am imagining people trying to combine together
  to stop the Prophecies of GOD from coming about
  
  (ludicris)...but people are not always known for their
  intelligence.
  
  Reminds me of the saying:
     Your arm's too short to box with GOD.

  That's why I said, now WHY are all those people RUSHING INTO NEW ORLEANS
  to rebuild that city?
  
  I tell you NOBODY tried to rebuild Soddom and Gommorah!
  
  ARE YOU SURE GOD would want you to do that???
  
  Helping people is one thing, rebuilding something HE destroyed is another all together...
  
  Like I tell my kids in the summer:
  
    " IF GOD doesn't want it cool outside,
      There is NO WAY we can cool it down --
  
    SO: SHUT the door to outside- you are WASTING our air conditioning!"
