Digital Hocus~Pocus

Yep!  You guessed it, I don't support the Iraq war.  I support soldiers defending our people and our land but not useless wars on innocent people.  We all know by now that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.  It was admitted by our own government! 

All this rhetoric about we can't leave the Iraqi's can't handle it!  Bah! It's all a ruse!  The Iraqi's are stronger and smarter than they are given credit for.  So why are we still finding excuses not to bring our soldiers home?  Well, I've read professional and non professional views about why our government started this fiasco and why we are still there.  Some say this was all an excuse to get the oil, some say it's for companies like halburton and  Boeing to get rich off of (all which many in the Bush administration have connections to), some say it's to keep the American dollar alive.  Hmmmm....... it's all a disgusting mess to me, all for money and power, stepping on and crushing anyone that gets in the way.  Is America really the land of the free?  Are we still the land of opportunity?  Sure don't look that way does it! 

My heart and my prayers go out to all that suffer and to all that are blinded by the Bullshit!

Hearing Still of the night by White Snake

Yes, once again the focus of the creation is on humanity and it's fate.  I worries me often.  Having three young children I wonder often where we, as a species, is headed.  I hope for there sake it's in a positive direction but boy I begin to wonder some times.  I try to teach my kids to be kind and caring towards others and I teach them about the Earth.  I believe the Earth is a living entity that needs caring for.  Abuse her to much and she'll fight back.....as any living creature would.

There were a couple of other peoples tubes involved here.  The planets came from The Hubble Telescope web site, which I have a link too in my Favorite Places spot.  Cool site!  I recommend a visit!  The Nnative American woman, I will have to look up and get back to you.  As I have mentioned before a lot of tubes I collected a long time ago so my records of them and where they came from are buried! It was all pretty simple to put together.  I used a black background, laid in some stars and a nebula, added the native American and the earth, then dotted in some planets and galaxies!  Not to difficult but expresses my feelings well!

Coming up next will be some more space art using some pictures I took a bit ago of a CD and some water drops.  It came out pretty neat, I can't wait to show you!

Feeling Chillin'

Another oldie!  I remember seeing this tube and totally loving it!  But what to do with it?  I suppose I could of done something elaborate but some how that just didn't seem right.  So I decided to keep it real simple and add some light!  Some times you don't need a lot of "stuff" to make a great picture.  I made pictures that I have totally redone because of to much "stuff"!

As you can see this is one of my Creative Art pieces.  My real old art is all Creative Art. I didn't really get into Expressive Art until this past year when things started to get more complicated.  Back then I didn't need as much of an outlet for my thoughts as I have recently and I don't think it dawned on me to use art as an outlet or to use my emotions to create a piece.  I more wanted to WOW people than express my self.  Which led to a lot of failed pieces and frustration.  Now that I have learned to let my emotions guide my creations there is no more frustration from lack of idea's and failed projects.  Every time I shut my emotion out the frustration comes back, I can't think of a single thing to create and I throw up my hands and turn off the computer!  Complete non-productivity!

So an important lesson here.  If you are try to create an art piece and are experiencing mental blocks, think about something that really stirs your feelings and use that as your base for creation!  Until next time!

Feeling Chillin'

Wow is this an old one!  This Piece was done a long long time ago.  It has been transferred from computer to computer, disk to disk........ so the quality has been degraded.  I don't even have the tubes that made this clip any more.  I wish I did, I would redo it and change the sky a little. 

This was created because I have a real deep appreciation for the Native American's and their culture and I absolutely love angels!  I do feel Angel exists and their is a "heaven"  and the base idea for this piece came from those beliefs.

Feeling Chillin'

I've look at a lot of digital art on the web and some creations are just stunning.  They are the type of Art you want to buy and put up on your wall in your living room or use as wall paper for your computer.  Not this one!   This one of those I call my Expression Art!  

This piece was done some time ago so I can't remember exactly what prompted this piece, but I do remember I was upset with where I felt humanity was headed if things don't change. 

I remember when I showed my husband this piece and explained to him what prompted "The Choice" he said "ah you're one of those angry artist!" and I said "yes I am!"

Anger, sadness, depression, joy,happiness, love what ever emotion it may be, I think art is an excellent way to tell how you feel!  People need emotional releases all the time and talking about what bothers you to someone my not always be available or possible.  So art is one of those great avenues for release. Art is also a great way for kids to communicate what they are feeling since a lot of times they may not be able to find the words to tell you how they feel.  Not all my art is created from anger so even though I agreed with my husband about being an "angry artist" I don't feel I am one.  I am just a mildly tick off artists! LOL!  I hope you enjoy!
