Feeling Ecstatic

Isn't She Lovely!

A new life came into this world yesterday; she is pink and new with fine blond hair that covers her little body.  She is has tiny toes, perfect fingers, eye lashes, and brows, and is amazing to watch the expressions upon her face as one would have to wonder, do newborns dream?   She is a miracle and one that has been long awaited.  She’s not mine, but I feel that I have bragging rights, as I have been friends with her mom throughout the pregnancy.  I blogged a couple weeks back that I thought she would be born, well that was a false alarm.  Little Miss Chloe was born May 28, 2008.  Grandmother Deborah sent her honorary Auntie pictures and I sat with tears in my eyes and praised God for such a beautiful little girl.  Talking with Deborah, I could feel the instant love and admiration of her newest member of the family.  Feeling her pride and anticipation of all the days to come is a true blessing.  Deborah told me how Chloe was truly a miracle as her daughter was told chances of her getting pregnant would be slim.  So yes, we believe God has the final word there.

There are times that as mothers we put aside whatever aches we have and push forward for our kids.  Deborah did that for her daughter…she was not going to let pain or discomfort come between her and being there when one of her own may need her.  Deborah is glowing from the beauty of her newest granddaughter and with every right.  I can only imagine the fun that will be shared between Miss Chloe and Grandmother Deborah.  Chloe is beautiful and was loved instantly… It is totally amazing the love that you can feel for a new born.

God loves us that way; he gives us life and then renews our lives when we ask him to forgive us of our sins.  We could be young or old, but all we need to do is ask God to forgive us of our sins, and we are washed of them.  We are like a newborn ready to start over in God’s eyes.  Born again!  This is truly a wonderful God who can form the perfect new born and also be gracious enough to wipe away our sins so that in his eyes we are as innocent as a new born babe.  Ask God, to come into your life and to wash your sins away, and when you do, imagine yourself helpless and hungry and believe that God is there to fulfill your every need.  You won’t be disappointed.

Dear Heavenly Father, I look at the picture that Deborah sent me of little Chloe and I smile and giggle from the beauty and the awe or your amazing plan of life.  I imagine all the years ahead for this precious little one and pray that you will be with her as she takes her first steps, takes her first fall, learns love and experiences heartbreak.  Lord, hold her entire family in your loving arms as they welcome this precious new life into their homes.  Take any pain and replace it with joy, take any sin and replace it with love.  Lord your love is so generous and your grace is by the blood of your son Jesus Christ, forgive me my sins as well and guide me to where you need your love to be.  Allow your love Lord to come from me to anyone who needs to know of you.  I thank you, Lord for my family, friends, neighbors, those who I have met and those who have yet to come into my life.  I pray for your children Lord who suffer pain, I pray that you put your hands upon them and cast the pain away.  Lord, heal those by your will who are sick of mind or body.  Give us peace to accept what we can no change and the wisdom to know when to open our mouths and when to keep them shut.  Lord, when I think of the new babies that are coming into this world, I believe it is your promise to us that life will continue.  I pray Lord that as children of yours, you guide us in helping raise all of the new babies, and we live by example and with your blessings.  I smile Lord and see the most amazing gift, Chloe.  Thank you ….Amen
