I can't believe that this year has passed so quickly and that so much has happened in my life in the year 2007... I am ready for 2008!!!!

It has been 10 months since my husband walked out on me.... 9 months since I moved into my little house... we have already had one pre-trial hearing and now he wants to have a mediation hearing before the final hearing in December and only because he don't want to give me anything and he thinks he can get out of it this way.... bullshit!!!! I agreed to the hearing but only because I had to before we go to court but that is the only thing I'm agreeing to!!!!! He was the one that left without at least trying to make things right!!!! If he thinks I'm going to let him stroll down easy street after he left me with nothing then he can think again!!! It ain't gonna happen.... he is such a dumb ass!!!!!! WOW!!!! I feel better!!!! LOL!!!!

I have had a series of ups and downs in the past 2 years... learning a new job....it's been almost 2 years at my job.... my husband being a jerk.... having to move out of a house I loved and owned and into a small house that I'm renting..... selling a vehicle that I love but could not afford... wrecking a vehicle I just bought... buying another vehicle and being without it for 3 weeks to have if repaired.... moving my daughter here from Kentucky and getting her set up.... but you know....

Life is not bad... I'm getting by and making my own way... it's not easy but I'm dealing with it... there is a song by Rascal Flatts called... "I'm Moving On"... and I love it... I have made that my song.... because I'm Moving On...with my life!!!!

I have not made it by any journals here lately... I haven't even updated mine in a while..... I just haven't been in the mood because of the things going on in my life... so I almost quit my journal altogether... but I decided to wait for awhile and see how it goes.....

One thing good that has happened is that I have gotten my golf game back!!!!!! I'm finally breaking 95 again!!!! I am playing better than ever now!!!!! My scores are coming down and I feel great mentally about my game... and just think... I almost quit playing....

Work is going great!!!!! Domestic disputes have gone way up!!! We had one guy go out to some condos and start firing a gun up in the air and then he took off... he was gone by the time we got there....we never could find him and no one knew who he was.... oh well....

We have had a lot of auto break ins.... is it actually a break in if the people leave their vehicle unlocked and their pocket book or wallet or lap top inside????? Yea.... it really is but people ought to know better... we don't live in the 50's, 60's, or 70's where it was safe to do that!!!! I would never leave my vehicle unlocked even with nothing left in it!!!!!

I found out the other day that two of the officers on my shift that are my favorite are being rotated to another shift:(.... my very favorite officer... the female... is going to nights........ I am not happy about that and neither is she.... they are rotating two that are on nights to my day shift... now my shift will not have any female officers.... it will go into effect on...of all dates...October 31....HALLOWEEN.....what a bummer....

Well... to finish up on a lighter note.... the other day I got a call about a small horse running down the middle of one of our busiest roads in the city... thank goodness it was a Saturday!!!! I sent an officer out...turns out that it was a great dane and not a horse...lol....and the officer could not get near it.... a bunch of people were trying to catch it and it was scared with everyone running after it....so it just ran faster and no one could get near the poor scared dog..... I don't blame the dog... if I had a bunch of people from my city chasing me.... I'd haul ass too!!!!!!! LOL!!!! Hopefully the dog made it back home safe!!!!

Has anyone heard if we are going to do the "Caroling through J-Land" this year?????

Hearing Me Yawning!!! LOL!!!                        

 

Thanks Missie for the cute beach graphic!!!! Love it!!!!!

Long time... no write... LOL!!!! Sorry... but I just haven't had the time... I have been working alot..... overtime means MONEY!!!!! And money means that my creditors get paid and they like that!!! LOL!!! Of course it would be nice to keep some of that money for myself... but........ oh well... sigh......

I'm left last Saturday for the beach (could you see me dancing all the way there?).... one whole glorious week by myself with nothing to do but relax and play golf..and I did exactly that!!!!

I played golf on Sunday and shot a 99... not too bad considering here lately I have had trouble breaking 100!!! I'll take the 99!!!!! LOL!!!! I played several more days and shot a 98, 100, and 101... not too bad huh???? This is a picture of what I found on one golf course I played.... hum... interesting.....

 

 

Do you ever wish you had a remote control and use it to  stop and rewind life????? Oh yea!!! I needed that remote control on Thursday before I went on vacation....... I was off work that day and kept my grandson because he was sick so that my daughter could work.. took him to the doctor and found out that he has strep throat... they gave him some meds and said he should be ok in a day or so.... I figured I'd end up with it while I was on vacation but thank goodness I didn't!!!! After that I got maintenance done on my car to get it ready for my trip... I had to buy a tire because my other one had the steel belt showing... then I got a full tank of gas... and waaa laaaa... I'm readyto go!!! THEN... I decided to go to the gym... so I'm going down the road and I see this car starting to pull out from a parking lot in front of me... then she backs up to get out of the line of traffic... which was fine... BUT... it diverted my attention away from the road and when I looked back at the road all I saw was brake lights and I tried to stop but couldn't........BAM!!!!!!! Not only did I run into the back of one car but I pushed it into the back of another car that was stopped and turning left........ and I wasn't going fast but it really did some damage to my car and the car in front of me but it only made a dent in the back of the front car..... so I had to find a car so that I could go to the beach... BECAUSE I WAS GOING TO GO EVEN IF I HAD TO HICHHIKE TO GET THERE!!!! I had been looking forward to this vacation since last year!!! Well... at least no one was hurt and for that I am very thankful!!! It could have been so much worse... remember... I had a full tank of gas..... now where did I put that remote control!!! LOL!!!!

The Friday before I went on vacation I was working by myself because the other dispatcher was out of town... It was so hectic that day... the phone stayed glued to my ear the whole day!!!! We don't have headsets... wish we did... I'm trying to convince them that we need them!!!

Anyway... I had 5 burglaries of which we caught 3 of them... and then it started raining and when it rains... NO ONE CAN DRIVE!!!!! (aren't I a good one to talk!!!!) LOL!!!!! We had I don't know how many wrecks!!!!

We had 2 hit and runs involving bicycles... one survived and the other one didn't... we are still looking for the vehicles!!!

People calling wanting phone numbers and addresses and on the 911 lines!!! I tell them that they need to dial 411 not 911!!!! I had one lady call 911 and ask for the non-emergency number... I gave it to her expecting that she would call on it.. but she called back on the 911 line and said she forgot the number and could I transfer her???????? what and transfer her to myself?????? Grrrrrrr...... I have found out that I am an excellent source of information.....along with giving out phone numbers and addresses we also have people that stop in for a friendly  visit to find out just where the hell they are going....if you are ever lost just go to your friendly dispatch office and we will gladly tell you where to go!!!! LOL!!! We have very good maps!!!! hehe....

I had several fire alarm calls and they have to be treated just like an actual fire... the real challenge is when you have both the police and fire traffic going at the same time!!!! It does get interesting that's for sure!!!!

Today I was off work and at home when I heard a loud crash... I looked out the window but didn't see anything.. so I went about my business... then a few minutes later I saw our Rescue 1 engine go by... so I go out on my front porch and look down the road and saw several police cars.. so off I go down the road to see what is going on... can we say nosey???? LOL!!!! When I get to the end of my road I saw a van flipped over and a bunch of people sitting on the curb.... turns out that the woman driving was going too fast and hit a tree and flipped the van... thank goodness no one was hurt... I hung around and talked to the officers and the firemen... the firemen said that they had just left the store with fixings to fix banana splits when the call came in... I volunteered to put their ice cream in my freezer til after they finished with the wreck.... but they said that they were almost finished... I don't think they trusted me.... (I'm sure I wouldn't have eaten much!!!!!) LOL!!!!

Hearing AOL Radio... The Heart

 

Thanks Robyn for the graphic... It's truly where I want to be right now (that and the golf course)!!!

One month from today I will be leaving for the beach......... and yes........ GOLF!!!!! I can't wait!!!!! I sooooooooooo need a vacation!!!! One whole week of nothing but golf and relaxation!!!! I think I can handle that!!!!

On Monday I had my court date... it has been 7 months since my husband left (for those of you that don't know... my husband decided that he didn't love me anymore and didn't want to live with me anymore) and I thought it was about time to do something about it... so we went to court... we are now legally seperated and he has to pay me some money each month!!! So now we just wait until December and then I will file for divorce.... It has been hard this last 7 months but I am seeing better days now.... actually it is pretty nice not living with a man.... LOL!!!! I get to do what I want when I want!!!! Also... I now have my daughter and her son that moved down here from Kentucky settled in a place of their own now!!!! I am now concentrating on me and my life..... yep......Life is good!!!!

For a while I had lost the desire to play golf... with everything going on in my life... I just didn't feel like playing... but I have recently started back playing and now I have the FEVER back again!!!!! I have played in a couple of tournaments and I will play in another one on Tuesday.... it is so much fun playing with other women from other courses!!! You get to meet a lot of crazy golf nuts with head covers!!! LOL!!!

I get to work a lot of overtime next week.... I am working for another dispatcher who is going to be on vacation... so I am working my regular days and then hers too.... it is going to be hard but I will get  that overtime in  that check before I go on vacation and that is reward enough to get me through it!!!! MONEY... BEACH.... GOLF!!!!! What a great combination!!!!!

Speaking of work.... I had a call from one of our local fast food restaurants wanting EMS and First Responders... a woman passed out and was laying on the floor and she was turning blue....

I also had a wreck with injuries.... the call came in on 911 and the person did not know any english... they were in a panic which made it even worse... I kept trying to get the street name and he just couldn't understand me and I couldn't understand him... so I was going to switch to the language line but he hung up.. then I got another call from a woman and she didn't know english either.... Grrrrrrrr.... but I did manage to get a street name so that I could get the police and fire rolling..... finally... I got a call from a woman that happened up on the wreck and she knew english!!!! Yea!!! Come to find out.. it was a 2 vehicle wreck and there were 2 bodies laying in the road.... I had to fly out 2 medical helicopters and 3 EMS units along with my fire dept.... it ended up with 8 people injured and 1 dead.... it was a horrible wreck!!!

On a lighter note.... I had a guy come by the police department... he was so upset because someone had parked a vehicle that they wanted to sell in his empty lot... he got the number off of the vehicle and called and left a nasty voice message..... he wanted to procecute the person and have the police to tow the vehicle.... so I told him we did not tow a vehicle on private property but that he could have it towed..... he left and went back up to where the vehicle was at... I called one of the officers and warned him about this guy and he said he would ride out there... the officer called me back and said he rode by but that the guy was up in another guys face (probably the owner) just a talkin' with hand jestures.... the officer told me that he just kept going!!!! LOL!!! You should have seen this guy... he was probably in his late 60's...shorts..golf type shirt.... knee hi stockings and huge black shoes... big glasses... and one of those bluetooth ear pieces in his ear..... what a sight!!! I don't know what the outcome of that was but I haven't heard back from him.... thank goodness!!!! LOL!!!!

Hearing AOL's the Heart                                  

   

Thanks Robyn  (My Creative Corner) for the gorgeous graphic that I snagged!!!!

First off... I want to say I'm sorry for not visiting any of your journals here lately....... life has been...... well..... let's just say it's been quite a challenge... and even that would be an understatement!!!! I will try and do better and get around and visit soon!!!!

There is not enough room in all of J-Land for me to go into detail of all the things that I have been going through so I will leave it at that and just say.... I think.... I'M BACK!!!!! LOL!!!!!

My job is going really... really good!!!! I have been extremely busy... summer brings out the worst of the worst it seems!!!! Good for business I guess!!!! LOL!!!!

We have an electronic time clock at work and one morning I went to work and I had made a birthday cake for one of the officers on my shift so I was carrying it along with my calendar...a book... and my coffee cup... and in that order stacked on top of each other... so I went to get my badge out of my purse when my coffee cup fell over and spilt coffee all over the front of my shirt!!!!!!!!! Ugh!!!! So I went into the bathroom and proceeded to rinse the coffee out of my shirt... so when I got through I put my shirt back on... not only did I have coffee still on my shirt.... I had a big wet spot as well!!!!!!!!! I couldn't go back home and get another shirt so I called up to the Fire Department and asked them if they had an extra one that I could borrow until the next day... the captain told me to go over tothe pole and he would throw one down!!!! LOL!!!! I put it on and wore it the whole day!!!! It was a t-shirt and it was big and worn and so comfy....... I haven't given it back yet... I sleep in it!!!!! LOL!!!!

I had a call at a local grocery store where there were 2 women fighting........OVER A DAMN UMBRELLA!!!!

Got another call about a woman who ran over her boyfriend and he was laying in the street... I asked her if he was still alive and the witness said yea...he just got up and went in the house with a greasy shirt on!!!! When the officers got there the guy refused First Responders and EMS.... His girlfriend was there and he told the officers that everything was alright!!!! Then a little while later he ran up the street trying to hide from her and he called us again and said that he needed First Responders and EMS because his back was hurting..... I guess so..... he was run over... I guess I'd hurt to if a car ran over me!!!! The First Responders said that he had tread marks on his back.... so his girlfriend was arrested!!!!

Got a call that a group of men were stealing sand from a construction site..... turns out the builder sent them to get the sand!!!! Nosey neighbors!!!!! LOL!!!!

One of our officers takes his lunch time and goes to the gym and runs on the treadmill.... it was so funny because another officer needed to find out some information from him so he radio'd him and you could tell that he was running on the treadmill... he was breathing so hard and the other officer kept on asking him questions!!!!! I wanted to say...leave him alone and let him run!!!!

A woman called and said that some people were on her street and she wanted an officer to come out there.... I asked her what they were doing and she said nothing but she didn't want them walking by her house!!! I told her that if they were not doing anything wrong then there was nothing that we could do.... so she hung up.... then she called back in about 20 minutes and asked me to erase what she said on the tape because the people on the street will come and get the tape and know that it washer that called and they will come and get her!!!! I told her that the public could not get the tape but she would not leave it alone so I told her that I would erase it.. she hung up and in about 10 minutes she called back again and wanted to know if I erased the tape... hell I told her yes and I haven't heard from her since!!!! LOL!!!! Can we say 10-47 (crazy)?????

Hearing Must Be Doin' Something Right by Billy Currington                   

  

Thanks Chris for the beautiful tag!!!!! I love it!!!

 

Well.... this is what I will be trying to do this week when I'm on vacation!!!!! I plan on relaxing and playing LOTS of golf!!!!! I think after the year that I have had.... I deserve to have a week of enjoyment!!!! LOL!!!!

I still haven't found a place for my daughter and grandson to live but everything else is taken care of and we are still working on the housing thing!!!!! Hopefully something will come open soon!!!!

Work has been super busy because of the warmer weather... we have had a ton of domestic disturbances!!!!! One disturbance happened at Walmart (hell... imagine that!!!!.....Walmart can be the worst place to go sometimes)... two women got in a fight... over what I have no clue... but one of the women took her shoe off and hit the other woman in the face with it.... if that had been me... that woman would have had shoe for supper...get my drift?????

Got another call from a hotel manager who wanted us to come and get a guest from the hotel room because he was sick and throwing up all over his room and he was making the hotel stink!!!!! And the guy paid for his room!!!!

I had a guy call on 911 and asked how wide a certain road was........... I told him that was the emergency line and he said well he really needed to know how wide the road was!!!!!!!! Hell.... I don't know go measure it!!!! I didn't tell him that but I sure was thinking it!!!! I told him I didn't know and he said... I can't believe that and hung up!!!!! So I guess we are expected to know everything!!!!! Geeeeeeeeez!!!!

I got a call from the nurse at the er and she said she had a subject in the er that was injured... he said that a snake had jumped up and cut him with a knife....OHHHHHHHHH KAAAAAAAY!!!! He had some issues!!!!

Then I had another round at our friendly Walmart!!!! A guy ran past the Walmart greeter right out the door with a buggy with 2 computers in it!!!! I sent and officer out and she stopped him as he was getting ready to leave in his car... she had him blocked but he was really nervous and manuvered his car and almost ran the officer over getting away!!!! We looked everywhere for the guy but could not find him but a few minutes down the road he flipped his car 3 times but got out and ran........... we had cops swarming all over the place but the moron ran into the woods and got away.... but not for long because we found out who he is....LOL!!!!

The contruction on our new building is coming along but it sure is making a mess on my car!!!! That equipment is stirring up so much dust and I just can't keep my car clean!!!!!

Hearing AOL Radio

                          

Hell.... I did it again!!!!! I saved this tag a while back and now I can't remember who I got it from.... grrrrrr... I have CRS really..really bad (LOL).... if it belongs to you.. please let me know and I'll give you credit for this gorgeous tag..... Sorry....

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet a fellow J-Lander for the very first time on Sunday!!!! He was visiting with friends who live only a few miles from me and we got together with his friends for a day of fun!!! David's journal "Sunshine Colorado Notes" was one of the first journals I read and commented in (I believe my first comment was when he said that he shoveled snow at night in below zero temperatures... I called him 10-47 which means "mentally ill").... actually... Chris' journal "A Day in the Life" was the very first one that I read and I got David's journal from her.....lol!!!

David is the sweetest person you could ever meet..... he helped me with my 10 codes when I first got my job at the police department and he always has some great advice when it comes to anything that has to do with the fire department!!!

Most of the time when we journal with others here in J-Land... we never meet them in person (we need a J-Landers Convention) so meeting David was great!!!! And he is such a gentleman... He actually opened doors for me!!!! Thanks David for including me in your day... it was great!!!!!

I am feeling much better since my last entry...still extremely busy with helping my daughter get settled here.... but better none the less!!! After 2 long trips to Kentucky to close out everything with the court I have finally got her set up with financial assistance... a vehicle... child care... and a job... now if I could find her a place to live.... hopefully I'll find something soon before I go insane!!! LOL!!!!

Work is going great!!!!! I have been working extra shifts for those who want to be off... can we say.... OVERTIME???? I have been working both days and nights and my body does not know whether to sleep or to stay awake!!!! LOL!!!!!

Speaking of work... we had a horendous storm late one afternoon and it was really bad and of course I was working... lol... it rained so hard and the wind was so strong that the wind blew sideways.. and to top that we had hail...... the calls started coming in.... alarm calls because of the thunder causing the windows to vibrate and set the alarms off.... people were actually being flooded out of their homes....streets were flooded and the officers would have to go and sit at the flooded streets and make sure no one tried to drive through it.... I had the officers going every which way!!!! Then I started getting calls of power lines down and trees down so I had the fire department going all over the place... they were passing each other... one would go one way and another one would pass and go the other way.... by the time my shift was over I was totally exhausted!!!!!

The other morning no sooner had I started to work that I had 3 fires (house, garage, and grass) at one time and an armed robbery!!! So much for a calm morning!!!! It was so exciting though!!! I love it when the fire trucks and the squad go screeching out of the fire house with those lights and sirens going.......WOW!!!! It gets that blood pumping!!! LOL!!!!

I'm always making desserts for the firemen and so one night they invited me to eat supper with them after my shift ended and so I did... couldn't resist... the firemen are great cooks!!!! After we finished eating we got a call of a house fire and I asked the captain if I could go and he said yes!!!!! I am now an official pole dancer!!!!! I slid down the pole...lol... WOW... what fun!!!!

Oh... and you can't tell anyone.... but... I got to drive a police car!!!!! I had to follow one of the sargents to a shop to leave a vehicle so I followed him there.... he said.... Don't wreck my patrol car!!!... I told him I wouldn't... I thought to myself... NOW I CAN SPEED and not have to worry about getting caught!!! So I followed the sargent and you know what??????????? HE WENT THE FREAKIN' SPEED LIMIT!!!!! I told him that if I had known where he was going I would have passed him!!!! LOL!! And he wouldn't let me play with the lights and sirens... sigh.........party pooper!!!! LOL!!!!!

Well....enough rambling...

I want to thank everyone for their encouragement and prayers for me during the difficult time I am having... I have been so busy with my daughter that I haven't had much time to read journals... so I will be around hopefully sometime soon!!! Love you guys!!!!!

I am really trying... I am trying so hard....... my life as I once knew it does not exist anymore....... I have no social life... I work and come home....... I am so lonely.... I have no money to do anything with.... I can't sleep and I don't feel like eating....... why am I so miserable????????? I am my happiest when I'm at work and that is sad....... I find myself not being able to stop crying........... I don't know what to do or how to act... what does one do after nearly 23 years of marriage???? I'm not even enjoying golf anymore....... I played in a tournament yesterday and I felt so alone among all those women... I felt like I was standing in the middle of a circle and watching the world go by.......... all alone.....I had to make a trip to Kentucky to pick up my older daughter and her son because of a bad situation and now they live here with me until I can get her set up with housing and assistance.... I feel like I'm on this non ending roller coaster...... I am at the breaking point and don't know how to handle it... I always thought of myself as a strong person and in a way I have been...... but now I'm at my lowest point.....my heart feels like it is bleeding to death....how do you go through life undiminshed????????

Sorry for the sad entry....... I always said I would never do a sad or negative entry...... but my heart just isn't in writing an upbeat or happy entry....... I'm sad, hurt, angry, discouraged, frustrated, and tired.........

The weather has been absolutely perfect around here!!!!! I've even got to play a little golf!!!! I even played better!!!! YEA!!!!! It's getting that time of the year that I long for every year!!!!! I love warm sunny weather..... I do not like to wear shoes or bulky clothes or a coat and I can't stand cold... I am a very cold natured person but I still hate to wear a big bulky coat so I refuse to wear one even when it's frigid!!!! I will be like my grandmother one day though.... it will be 95 outside and I'll be inside with a sweater on!!!! LOL!!!! Go figure!!!

Stay away from Walmart!!!! Had 2 calls today from there!!!!! First call was a guy who called and said that he met a girl at Walmart and they started dating then he found out that his girl was a guy!?!?! ewwwwwwwwwe..... so......... he called it off and the girl...or guy.... took a broom handle to his door and made threats to him because he is dating someone else.. someone needs to get a life!!!!!

Then I got a call that a car hit 2 people in the Walmart parking lot... a mom and her 9 year old daughter and you could hear the girl screaming in the background... I had everyone out there!!!!! Officers... First Responders.... EMS... and a medical helicopter..... We had to close off the entire 4 lane highway in front of Walmart to land the copter!!! What a mess!!!! Then down the road from Walmart and not related to that incident... there was another accident where a truck hit a car and flipped it and then he kept going............. but............ we caught the guy.... he was an elderly man who had dementia and didn't even know that he had hit anyone.... that was sad!!!!

All this hit me at one time and this guy calls and said he had a traffic accident on one of our main roads but there were no injuries and I told him it would be just a little while because we were all tied up on this big accident and he said ok.... then about 10 minutes later he called back and told me that he was glad that it wasn't a REAL emergency because someone could have died because it was taking so long......... I told him (by this time I was tired and really pissed...don't mess with me when I'm tired and pissed..because you will not win!!!!) anyway... I said to him... "didn't you tell me there were no injuries?" and he replied yes.... well I told him if he didn't want to wait that he could go up to Walmart where there was a REAL accident in which there were injuries and that I'm sure one of the officers would be glad to drop what he was doing to wait on him!!!! He appologized and said that he'd just wait.... (I'm not normally like that but after hearing that girl screaming and then everything going haywire all at one time just made my evil twin come out!!!!)

Then I got a call saying that there was this guy wearing a hairnet in the road hitting cars with his fist as they went by.......... WTH???????? Who let these people out today????????? I thought I'd never get that call dispatched without totally cracking up!!! When the officer got there.... the guy was hitting his hairneted head on the telephone pole....... and you could tell that the officer was having a hard time trying to keep from cracking up to!!!!! LOL!!!! We had to take him back to this home for mental disorders that he was missing from.... 

It is hard when I have a day like this.... I get so wired up that I have a hard time unwinding and it's like I'm on a high and I can't relax but then when I do finally unwind I sorta hit rock bottom and totally crash!!!!!

Leaving you with a funny.... an officer wanted me to run a name and date of birth for a person he was out with... well the information would not come up... so... instead of saying..... that the DMV files were down..... I said.... I'm having difficulty with it coming up........oh boy... bad thing to say..... the officers called and gave me a hard time about that one!!!! hehe.....
