Trip to Ada and Sandy's

It is that time of year to plan our yearly trip to Ada and Sandy's!!!!

We will leave on August 29 and return August 31.

If you are interested in going, Please let me shelt28@yahoo.com or Helen helen.liming@wright.edu know. We will figure out car pooling and time of departure a little later.

Outing and Activities

June Outing:

June 14 at 1100 am

Meet at Youngs Jersey Dairy (the Main Building with the Ice Cream) for Lunch

Then we will go play at Utters and Putters!

Then, of course, we will be famished and have to return to the Dairy for some Ice Cream.

Have your Men check with Tony to see if the "Blue Balls Guys" are meeting at Peaches.

April Outing

The Outing for April was seeing the Bodies Exhibition in Cincinnati. Turn out was low but Mary, Jane and Carolyn had a great time!

Here is a little information in case you don't know what the Bodies Exhibit is all about.

This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to come face-to-face with full human bodies and partial body specimens in a way never seen before. It’s the ultimate anatomy lesson, featuring real human bodies. These meticulously dissected bodies are preserved through an innovative process and respectfully presented, giving visitors the opportunity to view the beauty and complexity of their own organs and systems. “

In addition to providing an up-close look inside our skeletal, muscular, respiratory and circulatory systems, visitors will walk away with a better understanding of what makes us tick and the importance of healthy lifestyles and taking care of the only body you’ll ever have. The basic premise of the exhibition is simple: If people better understand their bodies, they’ll better understand how to care for them. And in a society filled with an overweight, overmedicated, and sleep-starved majority, it seems the best medicine could be a healthy dose of body education.

Outing and Activities

March 1 2008

Old Town Trade Fair

Enjoy the living history event with dealers and demonstrators, all in period clothing from the 1700's through 1890's, making and selling their wares. This two day event will demonstrate early American crafts such as blacksmithing, pottery, patterns, fabrics, finished clothing, silversmith, wooden products and leather. Some of the items the demonstrators will be making are baskets, brooms, rope and early flintlock engraving. Door prizes will be given away each hour with one grand prize awarded on Saturday and one on Sunday. Come see how our founding fathers lived in days gone by.

Admission is $3.00 at the Door

Meet at 9 am at the Assembly Hall in Greene County Fairgrounds
