Feeling Mischievous

I got this in a email today

and thought I would share with you again ... and ask you to talk to your children openly and honestly about the way you vote and the importance of it , it doesn't matter how old they are you are making decisions that will effect them more than us and I think they should learn about it from their parents not the media or the kids at school ...

Vote Hillary 2008

oh you may want to bring up the Sex thing too lol  Wink

have a great night all

hugs

Sherry

Colton asked who I voted for in the primary, and I told him.  He was like "Is that a woman?"  I told him yes, and he said he wished I would have voted for a man.  So I had a talk with him.  Don't know where he comes up with his ideas.

I have had such talks with both daughters.  I'm glad I did and encourage other parents to do so too.  Communication is key where kids are concerned and they need to know how you feel.  Even if they start to blow you off, finish and sometimes they'll stop and you can tell they are really listening.  I try to keep my "opinions" short, sweet and to the point.  Their dad is the lecturer in the family and can be quite windy, LOL.  I remember one time when the eldest was four or five and he was going on and on and on, he stopped because he realized she was not paying attention and he said "Pay attention to me, would you rather I spank your butt?"  My daughter looked up at him and then down at her feet, and said "Daddy, could you just spank me?"  We both about lost it, LOL.

I think all children should be raised with the knowledge that they can be what they want to be.

I really believe we will have a woman president soon.  I don't know if it will be Hilary, but I know it will happen.  Julie :)
