Subject: Time to say goodnite, Irene
Time: 10:03:26 PM EST
Author: siennastarr
Another year of The Vivi's has ended, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank a few people.
First of all, I would like to thank Danielle of Everybody knows for being so humble and understanding about losing her nomination because of my error. She had originally been nominated under the Best Video category, but, because she was private, she had to be removed as a candidate. I felt very bad about this, but Danielle was very understanding, and I just want to take this opportunity to apologize to her for that malfunction. Please if you get a chance, and would like to visit Danielle's journal, send her an email and ask for an invite into the private world that is her journal. Thank you, Danielle.
I would also like to thank Chris, my cohort and compadre, for all her hard work in making the beautiful tags and graphics that you have all received. She's also been my support system through this whole thing, and I couldn't have done it without her help. Honorable mention, and much thanks goes to Donna as she originally helped to get the graphics started.
I would like to sincerely thank Patrick from Patrick's Place< for all his help and guidance. As many of you know, Patrick hosted the Vivi's last year, and I was ever so thankful that he was available to lend a helping hand when needed. I would not have been able to handle much of this without his encouragement and pep talks. He also set up the voting sites for me, because I would have never been able to do that on my own. So.. a big thank you goes out to you, Patrick!
Lastly.. I would like to thank all of you for putting up with the glitches, mistakes and errors that I seemed to constantly be making. The majority of you were kind and understanding and I appreciate that very much.
The Vivi's are over, and I don't know that they will ever be brought to light again, but I just want you all to know, that I enjoyed doing them, in spite of some of the negativity that reared it's ugly head a time or two. The majority of you had fun, and I hope made some new friends along the way!
Chris is working on the graphics for the winners, and you should be getting them this weekend, so watch your mailboxes!
This will, hopefully (for your sake AND mine..lol) be my last visit to this journal.
Congratulations, once again, to each and every one of the winners, and to all of you who were nominated.
I'm just going to leave you all with one of my favorite sayings:
People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.

Well, I went and did it again. I made an error, and I apologize for it. Apparently, I inadvertantly allowed a private journal into the "Travel" category and that person won. Now.. while, I am NOT going to take that person's award away from them (as this was NOT their fault, it was MINE), I am going to give a Vivi Award to the journal that came in 2nd to that one. That would be : A Couple of Nomads.
Again, I apologize for this error, and I hope that you all will be understanding and not turn this into a journal war. If you have something to say, please address it to me.
Thank you.

Subject: 2006 VIVI WINNERS
Time: 9:40:54 PM EST
Author: siennastarr
Due to unforeseen circumstances we will not be holding the VIVI Award Ceremony this year. Reason being, there is not enough people to host the rooms, and Chris' computer is acting up, and she can't stay on line for more than 5 minutes and it kicks her off.
So.. in lieu of that, I am just going to announce the winners here in the journal. Before I do that, I want you all to know that the turnout for voting was phenomenal! I got over 500 ballots that came through, and it kept Chris and I plenty busy. It was nice to see so many take part, and vote. It was a close call with some of the categories, but you all got lots of votes. Somebody had to eventually win.. and so.. without further chatter from me:
Oh..one more thing.. you will be getting your Winner graphic tags this weekend from Chris. For those of you who were runners up, please feel free to keep your graphics on your journal if you wish.
Okay... CONGRATULATIONS: HERE ARE THE WINNERS:

First of all, I would like to thank you all for such a great turnout at the voting polls. I have had over 500 ballots come through, and they are still coming in, although, it is dwindling down quite a bit. The voting booth closes at 12:00 am tonight.. so, if you haven't, by any chance, voted.. then get over to the polls and do it: Main Page @ viviawards.bravehost.com - A Bravenet.com Hosted Site. You may not think that your vote makes that much a difference at this late date, but, you just never know.
Now, for the reason behind my SOS.
You all know that we are planning an Awards Ceremony on November 11th, where the winners for each category will be announced. Chris and I are hoping for a big turnout, which is wherein my dilemma lies. We are going to need help. The Chat rooms hold about 32 people, according to AOL, but I've heard other people state that they have gotten up to 50 in a room. If we have over 100 people attend on Saturday, we are going to need a few more people to help us Host the rooms. What hosting will consist of is being in synch with Chris and myself as we simultaneously announce the winners in each room. If you are hosting a room, then you would be the announcer in said room, of each winner. Now, of course, this can't be anyone who has been nominated, because we don't want the nominees to know who has won. So, this needs to be someone who just wants to be a part of it all, and would like to participate by helping us out as a Host in one of the chat rooms. I think we may need up to 5 people. We just don't know how many people are planning to attend, and I want to make sure that we have a host for each room.
So.. if you are interested, please send me an email: Siennastarr@aol.com, and let me know ASAP. I would really appreciate it.
Again, thank you all for taking the time to vote, and for all the lovely, and kind comments and emails that you have sent to Chris and myself. It is genuinely appreciated.
Again, the Award Ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 11th at 12:00 PM (PST), 3:00 PM (EST) and 8:00 PM (BST). The links to the Chat rooms will be listed here about 11:00 on Saturday morning.

Subject: VOTING TIME!
Time: 12:32:17 AM EST
Author: siennastarr
Is everybody ready for the final voting?
Got your selections picked out?
It should be fairly easy for you to vote, as each nominee is listed under each category. All you have to do is pick the one you want. Be sure and go back and recheck to make sure you didn't forget any of the categories.
I will keep the polls open till the 6th. The winners will not be announced until the day of the Award Ceremony on Saturday the 11th of November.
Good luck to everyone that has been nominated! I appreciate your patience, as I know this has been long and drawn out, and for that I apologize. Blame it on being new at this! lol
Anyway.. without further ado.. here is the link: Go ahead and vote if you want to, what's a couple hours? :)
Be sure and follow all directions and only vote once, please. If I get more than one ballot from you, it will be disqualified.
Thank you..
NOW GO VOTE!! :)

Subject: Final Voting Reminder
Time: 4:04:05 PM EST
Author: siennastarr
Just a quick reminder that I will be putting up the link to the website for the final voting on November 2nd.
I will leave the voting site open from the 2nd to the 6th. I hope you all have taken the time to read all the journals that were nominated, so you know who you want to vote for once you get to the polls.
Please note that voting for the nominee's has ended. I am still receiving ballots from some of you, and unfortunately they are just being deleted. Once the polls have been closed, even if you are still able to access the voting website, it does not mean that your votes are being counted. That portion of the voting is over. We have now moved into the final stage.
So.. put this journal on alert so you don't miss the reminder and the link for the final voting to determine the winners under each category.
Don't forget that on Saturday, November 11th we will be doing the red carpet award ceremony, and announcing the winners at that time. I will announce the times and the link to the chat rooms (where the event will be held) on the day of the ceremony!! I am keeping in mind that in order for everyone to attend we will have to arrange the times. I want all our friends from the UK to be here too! :)
Good luck everyone!
Have a Happy Halloween and I'll see you back here on the 2nd!!

Subject: NOMINEE GRAPHICS
Time: 11:14:50 AM EDT
Author: siennastarr
I would just like to let all the nominee's know that they will be receiving their 2006 VIVI Award Nominee graphics either today or tomorrow. These graphics are to be displayed (if you so chose) on the sidebar of your journals.
If you are using last years (which I've noted that some of you are) please remove them. We have completely different graphics this year, and we would like to see everyone being consistent and using the new ones. Be patient! :) I know you're excited about your nominations, and want to proudly display a graphic showing it, but Chris is our graphic maker, and she has had some personal things happen in her life, so we got a bit behind. It's all good though. :) You will be getting the graphics today or tomorrow.
Chris and I appreciate all the thank you's and kind words that you have displayed in this journal, in emails, and in your own journals. We are very grateful that the majority of you understood the reason behind having to reevaluate the status of the animation category. To anyone that was upset or hurt by this, we sincerely apologize. We made a mistake, as human's are prone to do. Anyway, thank you for your understanding.
I am happy to see that everyone is accepting their nominations this year! :) That is great! I wish you all the best of luck!
Watch for those nominee graphics in your email. Today or tomorrow. :)

Subject: THE OFFICIAL NOMINEES
Time: 10:23:25 AM EDT
Author: siennastarr
I know you are all excited to see who your votes chose as the nominees under each category, but before I list them, I just want to thank you all for voting and I want you to know that it was a close call. So many votes for so many wonderful journals. I wish I could have put you all up here, but unfortunately I had to narrow it down to who got the most votes.
If there is anyone that was nominated that does not wish to accept the nomination you need to let me know ASAP so that I can remove your journal from the list below. Each of you will be receiving a graphic to put on your journal to let everyone who comes to visit know that you are an official nominee for this year's Vivi's.
I encourage everyone to read these journals, get to know a little about the writer, so that on November 2nd, when we open the polls again, you will know who you want to cast your final vote for.
Again.. thank you all for participating and making this as easy on me as possible. I did my best to count every vote as carefully as I could.
So.. without further ado.. here are the 2006 OFFICIAL VIVI AWARD NOMINEES!
Congratulations to you all!!
