Silly Quiz Du Jour

What sort of key are you and what do you unlock? - Quizilla

You're a slightly tarnished metal key, and you unlock the wardrobe. At first glance, you seem to present only simple, everyday things, but anyone who looks deeper will find much more. Just don't expect everyone to believe in you, and those who don't may not grasp your worth.

This is a pretty good fit.  I've had a fascination with old keys my whole life.  I loved my grandmother's 'secretary' desk with its glass paned cabinet doors that locked with a small key.  She left the key in its keyhole, but I wouldn't open the doors without her permission.  Inside were the treasures of an older lady and even I knew they were too delicate to touch by myself.  The key itself was tiny,  and the head was a series of intertwined loops.  The writing surface of the desk folded up and it also locked with an identical key.  Every time I see an old key, I wonder what it went to and what treasures it held inside. I wonder if it was lost and if who lost got as frustrated as I do when my keys go wandering.  Sometimes old keys were designed for aesthetic pleasure as well as utilitarian function, and I love those most.  I had a dream once where I was riffling through a bowl of keys. They were all different shapes and sizes and each was a work of art, a tiny sculpture.  Some were animals. Some were trees.  Some were religious and historical symbols.  Some were just designs, and I knew that every key was functional as well.  It unlocked something in my life. All I could see in the dream was my hand playing with the keys.  It was a good and hopeful dream.  It still makes me smile.

According to my dream book, to find a key or keys, means that you will find a solution to an ongoing problem. To be the keeper of keys in a dream, means that your are in a position of authority.
I have always collected keys first because I'm afraid to throw them away. If I don't know what they're for, and I throw them away, I'll probably realize what it belongs to after the fact, and only when I really need to open whatever it is the keys belong to. Also I collect key rings. I put most of them together on my keyring. It is so large, I can't lose it for long.

Moi:  You unlock everything, because you are a skeleton key. You are resourceful and can fit yourself into any situation and find a way through. No one can keep you out, but not everyone will want you to come in.
    Actually sort of accurate.
