According to AOL in the Washington Post article linked above, they have received several dozen complaints. I guess the hundred plus comments at Scalzi's, Joe's, the complaint petition, and the email complaint forum are subject to different math rules than I was taught.
By the way, I hate NASCAR, which was the advertisement I saw at the top of my journal today.

A few dozen complaints-give me a break. You're right maybe they're using a different math base than the one we're used to. Say base 100 instead of base 10. LOL

I was sent an email about removing the ads. If you go into the safety link and click on web pop ups you can shut of the pop ups in aol while in your journal. Exit out and then when you go back in your journal, the ads are gone. This worked, at least when I viewed my journal. As for others viewing, Im not sure yet... Hope you are well, and have a happy Thanksgiving!! Michelle

I hate them too. Nascar I mean. Of course I hate the ads in general.
Several dozen emails huh? Ha, I sent a dozen myself, and I know I'm not the only one. Someone needs to teach them how to add, then they might get how much money they're losing.

Actually it's an ad for Kodak featuring assorted NASCAR drivers... and what's wrong with NASCAR? :-(
