AP IMPACT Story:  Jews Killed Jesus

The headline lies, which should be no surprise to the "Anti-American, Despicable Associated Press".  The AP is used to composing headlines like that, and stories like that. See the previous two entries about the AP story that inspired the headline.   There is no AP IMPACT story under that headline?  Nope--although AP IMPACT headlines are usually just as bad.  See the THREE stories where the despicable AP tried to blame the U.S. military for BOTH Korean and alleged American atrocities more than fifty years ago, in the Korean War.

It is fundamentally a lie that "Jews Killed Jesus".  Individual Jews may or may not have had some complicity in the death of Jesus, but this idea of group guilt is a LEFTIST, Reverend Wright type fantasy.  Remember that Reverend WRight, Obama's pastor for 20 years, put in WRITING an article blaming ITALIANS for the death of Jesus, because of they were "white Europeans" who looked down on what Reverend Wright considered "people of color".  Leftists think that way.  The despicable AP thinks that way.

But COULD the AP use the above headline, if a CONSERVATIVE Jew ran for President or VP (say Joe LIeberman was chosen by McCain, although he is clearly not a conservative on most things)?  You get the feeling that the EVIL AP would use just such a headline, or write just such a story, in order to undercut the Republican nominee.  Oh, it would not be quite that blatant.  The AP would never directly say something like that.  They would not put themselves in the position of saying that Jews killed Jesus.  However, read the last two entries again.  The despicable AP is definitely capable of USING Christians against a Jew.  What about "Did Jews Kill Jesus?", with a question mark. Then you could give the history of how SOME Christians have attacked Jews on this basis through the years.  The suggestion would be that many Christians believe Jews to be really bad--"deriding" them through the ages.

Or it might be more subtle than that.  There might be headlines like "Lieberman Has to Overcome Judaism"; or: "Lieberman Plays Down Jewish Heritage"; or: Lieberman Has To Give Speech to Explain "Chosen People" Belief.

I know perfectly well that Liberman's Jewish religion was pretty much irrelevant in the Gore race.  But he was running as a DEMOCRAT.  Harry Reid' Mormon religion has been pretty much irrelevant, but Romney's was not because the because the despicable AP, and others, thought they could USE it to inflame Christian conservatives.

Nope. The despicable AP is perfectly capable of a headline like "Did Jews Kill Jesus?", if they though it would work to advance their agenda. This last week has shown that there is no evil of which the mainstream media is not capable.

Fox News, Enabler of Evil

We have established (see previous entry) that the "Anti-American, Despicable AP" is an evil organization.  It is spreading evil and hate whenever and wherever it can.

So why am I picking on Fox News?  It is because of the Associtated Press article featured in the previous enty. I found it on the Fox News website. If you want to know why I regularly call Fox News part of the minstream media problem, and NOT part of the solution, this is the amin reason why (in addition to the cable TV mentality that hype is fine, and that "balanced" unfairnesss and speculaton is the goal in news).

Fox News regularly uses the truly despicable AP as a mainsource of "news"--not only online but on air.  You can't do that an not be an enabler of evil.   If you are going to sue the AP, which no news outlet should, then you have to FILTER the stories you use very carefully. Otherwise, you get Fox News putting out the most disgraceful of AP stories, like this one.

Nope.  I refuse to give Fox a pass on this stuff, because they are more balanced than the others.  CNN and MSNBC, for example, along with the AP itself, FILTER out "news" they don't like. I am sure Fox woul dargue that it is merely doing what those won't do, and giving all of the "news". Not true.

The problem with evil stuff like this is that it is NOT "news".  It has no business being put out there at all.  If you use the AP as the filter FOR YOU of what news is important, you are turning over yor "news" judgment to an evil, highly partisan organization.

I don't forgive that, becasue I don't forgive enabling evil.  That is why I don't consider Fox News worth watching on a regular basis.  I do NOT frequent the Fox News website. I was LOOKING for this AP exercise in evil, because I had heard about it and did not believe it (okay, my problem is that I believed it too well, which made me want to confirm it).  The source that came up on Google was the Fox website articale.

By the way, did you know that Jews are "derided" because they KILLED JESUS.  See prvious entry for the expalnation of this deliberate mockery of teh evil Eric Gorski and the AP by me (nope, I do NOT mean it as a mockery of the Jewish religion).

Sarah Palin:  Religious Bigotry Again Raises Its Ugly Head on the Left ("Bible-Believers?)

The "Anti-American, Despicable Associated Press" (always use official, complete name on first reference to the AP) has once again exposed its religious bigotry (yes, the whole organization is infused with religious bigotry, in addition to a virulent anti-American leftism that I have made it my business to expose in the blog over the past 4 years.  I think I can say, with confidence, that NO ONE has exposed the despicable AP with the specificity I have, in HUNDREDS of entries, over these years.  I don't merely call the AP names, but I back it up with specifics in every single entry--as I have done with CNN.  Every negative aspersion I have made against the despicable AP has been backed up with FACTS.

It was the despicable AP who put out the most religiously bigoted and unfair story of all about Mitt Romney. as the religions BIGOTS in the mainstream media, and on the left, tried to gin up bigotry against the Mormonism of Romney.

It was the despicable AP that led this campaign of bigotry against Romney, with a truly EVIL story about Romey's great grandfather being a polygamist.  The Mormon religion abandoned polygamy in the 19th Century, and the Mormon Church to which Romney belongs, of course, does not believe in polygamy.  This attempt at "guilt by ancestor" was merely the most blatantly evil part of an orchestrated, BIGOTED, campaing to label the Mormon Church as a "cult".  As I said at the time, it is a "cult" that produces a reomarkable number of clean living people--as distinguished from many "mainline" religions.  Maybe we need more cults. But I digress.  The main point of the story was to USE religious bigotry, and smear by ancestor, to smear Mitt Romney with Christians, and even non-Christians who might have vague, unfavorable notions abut the Mormon religion.  The left, including the despicable AP, obviously thought they were successful against Romney (surely planning to resume the bigoted attack if Romney were VP), and now are trying the same thing against Sarah Palin (another truly EVIL attack by the mainstream media on her--showing how "all in" they are in their attempt to destroy her).  Before going there, let us examine Obama from the point of view of the despicable AP, if the AP were not trying to get him elected but was trying to just "get" him.

What about Obama's ancestors.  How many were MUSLIMS, or other people, who practiced POLYGAMY.  See that list of 39 "talking point" items frm the internet I posted this week.  One of them talks about 14 wives for an Obama ancestor.  WHERE is that story from the Associated Press?  I am perfectly aware it is irrelevant, but so was the BIGOTED, hateful stout Romney's great grandfather.  The despicable AP, and rest of the mainstream media, are even ignoring RELEVANT (or possibly relevant) stories on some of Obma's poverty stricken relatives, such as one half-brother living in a hut outside of Narobi, who have NOT been helped by a well off Obma.  This is true even though Obama, even in his acceptance speech, spouted platitudes about being "my brother's keeper".  He is obviously not his OWN brother's keeper.  You may deny this is relevant, and I have said I would not quarrel too much with that, but it is certainly MORE relevant than this EVIL stuff about Romney and Palin.

That brings me back to Campbell Brown (CNN).  Remember, my research (Wikipedia) on her personal life "revealed" that she is not WORTHY of your trust, because here father is a CONVICTED FELON--not just any felon but one convicted of LYING TO THE FBI.  In the world of the mainstream media, and in the AP tradition of "guilt by ancestor", Campbell Bronw should be fired immediately. End of digression:  Let us see what the despicable, bigoted AP (Eric Gorski, writer) has to say about Sarah Palin.

"Sarah Palin often identifies herself simply as Christian.

Yet John McCain’s running mate has deep roots in Pentecostalism, a spirit-filled Christian tradition that is one of the fastest growing in the world. It’s often derided by outsiders and Bible-believers alike."

Just look at the above marvel of BIGOTRY from the already proven organization of bigots--the despicable Associated Press.  This is not news to readers of this blog, of course, since I have long ago proven that the AP is an evil, bigoted organization.  It may be new to some of you, however, as the evil, SEXIST attacks on Palin by CNN and the rest may have opened your eyes.  Just READ the above, and try to avoid vomiting.

"Yet.....".  Pentecostal Christians ARE Christians.  Note the attempt to set up the EXCUSE for the EVIL BIGOTRY by suggesting that this is relevant because Palin is "hiding" something.  You just can't getany more evil than these people.  Wikipedia says that there are more than 20 million CHRISTIAN Pentecostals in the U.S. today.  The number is uncertain, because some are members of MAINLINE or other denominations, but believe in Pentecostalism.  I don't know, by the way, if Sarah Palin is a Pentecostal, and I (not being a religious BIGOT) don't care

".....a spirit-filled Christian tradition that is one of the fastest growing in the world. It’s often derided by outsiders and Bible-believers alike":  You have to aboslutely MARVEL at the BIGOTRY in such a limited amount of words. "Spirit filled";  I hate to break it to Gorski, who I would not believe is a Christian himself, any more than I am, if 50 bishops swore to it, but GOD IS A SPIRIT.  The Holy Ghost is a SPIRIT.  The Catholic Church believes in all of those trappings that my Presbyterian training would call IDOLATRY.  All of those saints and gaudy trappings and things. Then there are all of those ANGELS in so many religions.  Spirits?  Satan?  Oh, why go on.  Eric Groski is a stupid religious BIGOT with an agenda.

"....derided by outsiders and Bible-believers alike:  "BIBLE-BELIEVERS?  Pentecostals believe in Jesus.  As I said, the Pentecostal movement has often included members of mainline Churches. But what in the Hell church is called the "Bible-believing" church.  There is no such thing.  Talk abut a condescending, insulting term.  Do you wonder that I am morally certain that Eric Gorski is not a Christian, as Nancy Pelosi is not a Catholic, whether he calls himself one or not.  Does he really think Evangelicals (to whom this BIGOTED attack is aimed, since the AP believes they were successful against Romney with that group) are really that stupid?  I think the AP, along with Obama and the left, DO think that Evangelicals are that stupid  Read Obama's unscripted remarks at San Francisco again.

"...derided".  Now THAT is a "neutral" "news" word--NOT.  It is a word of BIGOTRY.  Why not just say that Jews like Joe LIeberman are Shylocks, and mock and deride them as the "Chosen People".  Do many "Bible-believers" and "outsiders" "deride" Jews.  You bet your life.  Maybe they are less derided now than they used to be, but a man named Hitler (Gorski's obvious soul buddy--and the soul buddy of the AP) rose to power "deriding" Jews.  Hell, they don't even believe in Jesus!!!  The bodies of six million or more of them testify to the evil insanity of this kind of thinking.  It doesn't get any more evil than this.

Eric Gorski is an evil, bigoted man.  The Associated Press is an evil, bigoted organization.

P.S.  I will get to the promised entry on health care, but stamping on evil has first priority.  I will get to health care either later today, or sometime this weekend.

Sarah Palin:  How I KNOW Her, as I Rebut a Comment

I am repeating the comment I received to my entry last night, because I think it deserves a larger response than I could give it in the "comment" section.  I did change one word of my original response, because in rereading the person's comment, I though there were some unfair shots that I did not fully appreciate the first time I read the comment (when the complimentary words about Palin registered more with me).  So I changed "mostly agree" to "partly agree".  Here is the comment, and my response (continued in next entry):

"The reason that Sarah Palin's speech was so effective was that the speech seemed to accurately reflect HER, and to effectively convey arguments.  "  Of course her speech seemed to reflect "her."  That is because we know nothing about her.  We found out about "her" as a person in her own words.  Such as how she's involved executively as first and foremost as a PTA and a soccer mom.  She was also a mayor of a town of 7,000 people in Alaska.  I am a college student from OH, coming from a town of 6,000 people.  The mayor of my town is a bus driver with more dui’s than anyone in this world should ever know about (yea we keep it that way where I’m from. (disagree) So I understand that things are run a little differently from small towns especially in Alaska. I do believe Palin did an amazing job giving her speech. She is already a much better speaker than our current president so applauds to that.  I agree with Obama; keeping the family private. Well Palin during her speech did not.  Let’s whore out my son going to Iraq while I’m on tv.Go war...(ugh) I don’t want tp get into the war.  What about health care?  I may get criticized for mentioning this but she definitely spoke and tried to appeal on the more emotional side of the USA (especially mothers) for her son with Down syndrome.   My only thought during this is, I am glad she is a concerned mother, and a caring person (I come from a family with a handicap father, who had polio as a child and has given me the best and happiest life) but what about health care.  Most families with a handicap person within that family (at least in my average normal MIDDLE CLASS family) as lots of issues with the health care system.   I need to get my wisdom teeth out and I can’t.   Why?  Because my parents can’t afford to pay insurance on me anymore since they are both retired in their 60s and my dad has health issues.   What about just income taxes."

I agree partly about Palin, except for the idea that we don't know anything about her except through her words.  Now the public was primarily introduced to her through her speech, although I knew something about her befre. But I don't think that means we knew nothing about her from the facts of her LIFE.  As I have said, I grew up in smaller towns before entering the army, including undergraduage college at NMSU in Las Cruces, New Mexico.   I did do a six month co-op program at Sandia Labs in Albuquerque while in college--the largest city in New Mexico.   I also used to spend my summers with my grandparents in the Upper Peninsual of Michigan (Escanaba).  I grew up among people like Sarah Palin.  I think I KNOW them.  I think I KNOW her.  She is REAL.  She has accomplished more than most, in a shorter time, but her values are KNOWN to me.  They are the values expressed in the books of Charlotte Armstrong ("A Dram of Poison", et. al.--as I have said before, I am damning her with extravagant praise, because her books are a pleasure to read, and not some sort of morality lesson).   To me, Palin made the  speech her own, even if a speechwriter wrote it. And she made it authentic.  Even the accent is sort of a combination of the Southwestern twang of New Mexico and the virtual Canadian accent of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  I REALLY like her.  You might call it love at first sight.   That does not mean there is no risk with her. There is a lot of risk, and McCain showed considerable bravery in the choice.  One thing you can never question abuot McCain is his courage.

My own mother had five children, all boys, and my father was often away.  Although a GP (physician), he was the type who just could never get along in any one place all that long.  He would be off in some new place--even Japan at one point--and my mother would be raising the children alone.  I KNOW what a mother with five children can do.  My GRANDMOTHER, my father's mother, in Mt. Ida, Arkansas, had NINE children, and she was widowed relatively early.  She raised many of those nine children by herself. I have discussed her in this blog in earlier entries.  My most vivid memory of her is how seh made her living.  She took in laundry, but NOT to wash in machines. She had these large, iron pots in which she washed (boiled) the clothes, heating the pots by burning WOOD.  You can see how a woman who had to be that tough might be a little hard to love, as she lived to a Calviniat, tough Presbyterian creed.  And she was.

HOwever, you can see why I call CNN and the rest of the mainstream media the EVIL, sexist people that they are. Sexist, sanctimonious hypocrites that they are, they tried to say, for POLITICAL PURPOSES, that Sarah Palin could not handle being both a mother of five--one a pregnant teenageer, albeit one who is going to get married--and the Vice Presidency.  They obviously have no CONCEPT of people like my grandmother, or else are LYING HYPOCRITES (as I have said, I vote for both).  My grandmother boiled clothes in iron pots for a living, and raised NINE children.  For her, the Vice Presidency would have been a piece of cake.

As I have said, I am sexist in the sense that I believe men and women ARE diffreent (an absolute fact), and that there is no reason that men and women have to have the same ROLE in society (without any implication that one is inferior to the other).  But I have NEVER been so sexist as to DEMEAN women the way CNN and the rest of the mainstream media have tried to do, in an attempt to DESTROY Sarah Palin, over the past week.  These are EVIL people.  I have said some harsh things about them in this blog, in MULTIPLE entries totalling 5 to 10 thousand words, over the past week.  I stand by every single word.  I would be ASHAMED to be these people, and I am not that nice a person.  It has hurt my self image that I have been proved to be much NICER than any of these evil people.  I hope to see them all in Hell.

My grandfather in Escanaba, MIchigan, by the way, was an ore dock worker and staunch Democrat, as was my mother (although really apolitical)--primarily because of the Great Depression.   I never had it that tough, but I KNOW people who did, as I feel I KNOW Sarah Palin.

The reason I mention the last is because I also want to address the "health care" question, which I think Republicans have lost by default because they no longer are willing to fight for their principles--maybe because they no longer really know what they are.  But before getting to that large topic, let me address a few of the "drive-by" shots in the above comment.

Was the reference to DUI's above meant to reference the DUI arrest of Palin's HUSBAND 22 YEARS ago?  If so, it is a cheap shot worthy of US Weekly and CNN.  My roommate in college--in fact, a number of my college friends--was involved in DUI incidents.  We won't even go into the men who served with me in the army.  No, I have never been involved in a DUI, but that is because I have never wanted to lose CONTROL of my mind to the extent you do when you are really drunk.  However, I do drink on a moderate level, and I am sure that I have driven above the official DUI limit on rare occasions when I was young.  More fundamentally, his is the SPUUSE 22 years algo.  It was at the age the CANDIDATE, Barack "World" Obama, was using HARD DRUGS.  As I asked in a previous entry:  Which is worse?  If you say it is a DUI of a SPUSE, then yuou are a sanctimonious hypocrite worthy of CNN.

The most egregious cheap shot above is about the sone going to IRaq.  Contrary to the statement above, this is NOT a "private family matter."  It is a PUBLIC act.  You expose an AGENDA when you try to say otherwise.  More fundamentally, WHAT is one of the primary criticisms leftists often level at Republicans.  It is that Republicans send poor black men and women to fight for them, while their sons and duaghters are safe at home in cushy schools and cushy jobs.  I think a parent is entitled to be PROUD of her son serving his country.  But it is even more important for the public, including those leftist hypocrites, to see that sons and duaghters of "important" people are serving their country.  People SHOULD know that Sarah Palin has a son and nephew who will serve in Iraq.  They SHOULD know that John McCan has a son in the Naval Academy, and another son who is a lance corporal (ENLISTED MAN) in the marines.  When leftists tell African-Americans that white men start wars just because they are willing for the poor and African-Americans to be shot, that is EVIL, hypocritic stuff. It does not help African-Americans or the poor. It merely spreads hatred for no purpose, and based on something that is at least partly a lie.  This has nothing to do with opening up the "private" part of "private life" to scrutiny.  Leftists have an infinite number of exucuses to engage in the evil "politics of personal destruction".  None of them are valid.

Taxes.  What can you say about a person this ignorant.  Almost 50% of the people in this country pay little or NO income tax.  The top 10% of the wage earners are paying some 40 to 50% of the income taxes. Is that "fair"?  The rich are actually paying a LARGER share of the income taxes than at any time in our history.  MANY people are getinng PAID MONEY (earned income tax credit and things like the recent tax "rebate" evin for people who do not PAY taxes) through the tax system. When leftists say that income tax cuts "benefit the rich", they mainly mean that they apply only to people who PAY TAXES. Lefitsts want to GIVE more and more money to people who do NOT PAY INCOME TAXES.  McCain woulld further solidify the 50% who pay almost no income tax by doubling the personal exemption. Of course, this will not "benefit" the poor as mcuh as those PAYING TAXES, since the "poor" pay no income tax. Walter Williams, in a little bit of an overstatement, has called this the equivalent of ARMED ROBBERY--no different from a leftist holding up a "rich" man with a gun on the street, and then finding a homeless person to give the money to (the Robin Hood syndrome).  The idea that our income tax system is "unjust" is a leftist myth--at least in the sense they mean it.

Health care next.

John McCain and ANWR:  Missed Opportunity

One disappointment to me was ANWR.  Look at the opportunity McCain had.  All he had to do to MAKE NEWS, and drive the crwd at the convention wild, was to say something like (in the section where he proposed more drilling as part of an "all of the above" approach) was say something like this:

"I have already learned from Sarah Palin, as I think she has already learned some things from me.  Even though I know the bare facts about ANWR, Sarah Palin knows the region and the technology better than I ever could. She is an Alaskan environmentalist, and she convinced me that we CAN drill in ANWR without damage to the environment, and I already knew we NNED to do it if it can be done safely.  Therefore, I am announcing that I am changing my position on ANAR--not because I have changed my position on the environment or pristine areas, but because I have LEARNED some things from Sarah Palin.  I expect she has more to teach me, and I hope I have some things to teach her. She has already shown she learns quickly.  I believe we will make a good team."

Maybe McCain and his team disagree, but I believe something like the above would have helped his speech tremendously--focusing on the drilling issue as nothing else could.

Yes, Sarah Palin is GOOD on this.  She explains the safety and necesssity of drilling in ANWR as well, or better, than any living person.  Why WASTER that?  As Palin explains, we are talking about a small stripo of land (maybe 2,000 acres in 30 milllion, or some similar scale--don't hold me to the EXACT numbers), and drilling technology that has made drilling there even SAFER than offshore drilling.

A missed opportunity.

John McCain:  Analysis

What can you say about John McCain.  He has an absolutely amazing personal story. Absolutely EVERYBODY (probably including most leftist Democrats) trusts him to be Commander in Chief.

Howewver, he is not a great speech maker.  So what is an appropriate response to that.  We are not electing a President to read a teleprompter well, or even to compose (with the help of speechwriters) a good speech. I think most of the American people understand that, and I don't think it hurts McCain much that he delivers a pretty pedetrian speech--except for the truly rousing end, and the description of his prisoner of war experience.

Being as objective as possible, I think the speech tonight gave enough people a reason to vote for McCain.  In a lot of ways, it was an effective speech.  It is just not one that will make a lasting impression, like that of Sarah Palin.

That said, this speech would never have induced me to vote for McCain.  So what.  Thre is NO speech that McCain could give that would cause me to vote for him.  He has insulted me (as a conservative, rather than me personally) too many times. As with Obama, I believe in looking at McCain's record, and not what he says (which is not to say that what he says is different from his record, if you understnand correctly what he is saying).

This is the way people SHOULD look at Obama.  His ever changing WORDS--sounding good even when they contradict what he said yesterday, or two months ago, in terms of his prepared speeches.  Those eloquent prepared speeches often contradict directly Obama's record, or his less well prepared moments (like those comments in San Francisco).  I don't pay much attention to a single word Obama says in prepared speeches, and I don't think anyone should.  The speeches matter only to the extent they wither persuade with reason or build on a record.  Obama's do neither.  However, that is true of most politicians.  The reason that Sarah Palin's speech was so effective was that the speech seemed to accurately reflect HER, and to effectively convey arguments.  Obama's speeches do not do that, and neither do McCain's.

That, of course, is the problem.  I am voting for McCain only becausee of HER.  If not for her, it is almost impossible that I would vote for McCain.  McCain's choice of Palin both made me think better of him AND gave me a reason to be enthusiastic about voting for McCain.  It was effectively impossible for McCain to make a speech that would impress me.  I know him (not personally, of course) too well.

I don't think McCain was helped much by his team tonight.  The "warm up" speeches were lackluster, at best.  Tom Ridge's speech emphasized how good he choice of Palin really was.  Lindsay Graham is a taste I have never acquired.  Cindy McCain was fine, but it was fairly obvious tis was not something she did often (giving a speech).  There just was nobody to rev up the excitement, like Rudy Giuliani did for Sarah Palin.  Unlike Obama, McCain needed help.  He did not really get it.

Still, I think the Republican convention was very successful. McCain really accomplished what he had to do:  give a reason for people to vote for McCain the MAN.  He never waws going to get them to vote for him on his domestic policy positions (especially as articulated in a speech).  It is in that sense that the speech was effective enough.

Plain provided the excitement.  The mainstream media helped by their truly evil personal attacks on Palin.  (See the multiple entries in this blog over the last week).).  Indeed, the speeches of Giuliani, Thmpson, and   (yes) Lieberman were all exremely good, in their own way.  The convention gave people more than enough reason to vote Republican, if they were at all inclined to do so.  I would be surprised if the race were not about even right now.  The Republicans could probably count on not much better. The convention set the stage for the 60 day race against Obama, and a star was born.

To the end, the mainstream media maintained their bias.   They are still invested in DESTROYING Palin, but realize they have to manufacture/find something else to do it.

So tonight the mainstream media focus was all on the ECONOMY, and the theory that McCain failed to make a case for himself on the economy, which is the REAL issue in the campaign.

No, it isn't.  That is BIAS speaking.  For example, the mainstream media focused on the 340 pont Dow loss in the stock market today.  In doing that, they effectively LIED (no new thing).  There is nothing important about that kind of one day loss in the stock market.  I KNOW.  I am an experienced stock market investor, and frequent stock trader (on a virual daily basis).  For this entire YEAR, the stock market has been trading in a RANGE. Every time it has moved to the bottom of that range (although that bottom has moved SLIGHTLY down over the year), it has JUMPED.  In other words we have had MULTIPLE drops of 200 to 300 points, and MULTIPLE rises of 200 to 300 points. We did NOT go to a new year low in the stock market today--still a significant amount above the low, as a matter of fact.  However, we ARE approaching the area near the bottom of the range, where the market has BOUNCED upward on NUMEROUS occasions this year.

The LAST thing McCain needed to do was buy into the DOOM and GLOOM that the economy is in a CRISIS. It is not.  It is slow, but not rally bad (3.3% GROWTH in the second quarter, and no sign of a recession in sight).  If there is one thing McCain should know, it is NEVER to fight a war on the enemy's turf.  I would say that McCain went to far on buying into the DOOM and GLOOM as it was.  But that is McCain, and he had to avoid the charge of "not caring". However, to give a speech that suggested that the economy is TERRIBLE would have ben SUICIDE for McCain.

That is because the conomy is the MAIN issue in the campaign only if McCain LETS it be.  Contrary to what the condescending media things, people are perfectly aware that the economy goes up and down.  They worry more tabout the economy being RUINED by government than they believe that government can MAKE the conomy always be good.  Now it is true that Obama is saying that he will have the Federal Government "take care of" all of us. But McCain is NEVER gong to get the votes of people who vote on the basis of who will promise MORE BIG GOVERNMENT.  That means shifting the focus of he race from what government can do for you.  If you concede that almost EVERYONE is hurting (untrue), and that government has to take care of all of those hurting people, McCain is going to lose.  If people realize that Obama is DANGEROUS to both a not bad economy AND to the security of this country, then McCain can WIN.

In short, the mainstream media wants McCain to be a DEMOCRAT. He cannot win on that ground, and they are not helping him by suggeting he can.  They don't even want to help him.  Yes, McCain MIGHT win by talking abuot "bipartisan", but the MEDIA idea of "bipartisan" is to ADOPT the full Democrat philosophy.  McCain can never windoing that against a REAL Democrat (who knows what McCain is). He would merely lose the "base" he has just regained (with Palin) if he tried.

I can assure you I am right on all of this.  The economy is NOT "in crisis".  Yes, there are SEVERE dsiruptions in housing and financial institutions (credit), but the overall economy is not bad.  It does McCain no good to go with the total doom and gloom.  Nor does it do McCain any good to go totally to the leftist side. He can't win that way.

McCain CAN win with the strategy outlined in his speech, and by the whole REpublican Convention.  He may NOT win, but he CAN.

All in all, a good convention  For conservatives, of course, it was good for Sarah Palin alone--whether McCain wins or loses.

CNN Still Does Not Get It:  The EVIL Continues

I just heard one of the most condescending, disgusting statements I have ever heard from CNN, and it was not even directly about Sarah Palin.  These people are just EVIL, and they still don't get it.

The statement (after discussing the "challenge" of the cndidates trying to speak the language of "small town America).  "Our challenge is to see if WE speak the language of small town Amierca".

Nope.  YOu still don't get it.  I live in El Paso, Texas--hardly "small town America", although that is where I grew up.  I have lived in El Paso for 40 years, and I graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas.  In my law practice, I was regularly in places like New York City, Dallas, Philadelphia, San Francisco, et. al.

The abve statement is CNDESCENDING to "small town America".  It is INSULTING to the rest of us as well.

Let me speak directly to CNN here:  "Ladies an dGentlemen, yuour prolem is that you do not speak the language of RATIONAL America. You do not speak the language of DECENT Aermica.  You do not speak the languate of FEMALE America.  You do not speak the language of SANE America.  You do not speak the language of RELIGIOUS America (which does not include me). You do not speak the language of MIDLLE CLASS AMERICA (the America of Charlotte ARmstrong--onme of my favorite authors of all time.  You do not speak the language of AMERICA.  The ONLY language you speak is the language of the LOONY LEFT, of which you have become a part. You have become EVIL people, who feel that the end justifies the menas--who feel that the politics of personal destruction are fine for YOU, although not for Republicans.  You are the evil people who think it is RIGHT to try to personally destroy people for lPOLITCAL REASONS--even using a 17 year old girl for that purpose.  You have no soul, even if other people do.  You have sold out to the Dark Side, and there is no reason for you to exist anymore."

That is my message to CNN.  It may be almost my last referecne to CNN, unless I hear about some statement of CNN from an indirect source. My moratorium on my personal boycott of CNN is about to end.  I may bever hear directly another word said on CNN after tonight.

Again, I have followed Obama's instructions over the last week or so.  I have tried to confront EVIL, and CNN has been the face of evil over the past week.  It has little to do with "samll town America", although CNN clearly has CONTEMPT for those peple. It has to do with right and wrong.  CNN has been on the side of WRONG.  I have been on the side of RIGHT (politics aside).

Goodbye, CNN.  I expect everyone else, to soon bid you goodbye.  I may finish up my "investigations" of the personal life of CNN people, but I am through with  CNN.  As far as I am concerned, I am following the Rome example with Carthage.  They NEVER EXISTED.

Sarah Palin and Harry "Dirty Oil" Reid: Leftist Sexism Spins Out of Control

Who knew?  Well, I GUESSED.  Over this past week, leftist Democrats have exposed themselves as MORE sexist than I am-which most people thought impossible.  For example, as far as I can remember, I never called Hillary Clinton "shrill".

Yep. That was "Dirty Oil" Reid's (Democrat Senate Majority Leader) reaction to Sarah Palin's speech.  To "Drity Oil" Reid, the speech was "shrill".

Gee, that's telling her.  Uppity woman.  Why doesn't she go back to the kitchen.

Reid obviouisly stands with those left wing crazies superimposing Palin's head on the cover of a fashion magazine, or on a woman's body in a bikini.

Reid, of course, is obviously also agreeing  with those evil people on CNN, and in the rest of teh mainstream media, who have said that a mother (like Soledad O'Brien of CNN) should not neglect her children by DARING to think she can be Vice President.

P.S.  If you want to know how Reid EARNED the nickname of "Dirty Oil", see yesterday's entry.

P.S. 2:  Obama has often sounded SHRILL to me, when he starts whining.  Then there is taht studied CADENCE of his--sort of like a revivalist preacher.  Well, I don't have to tell you.  You heard it.  Sarah--with more unfair attacks in a week than Obama has faced from the MEDIA in 18 months, sounded warmin and confident. She did NOT sound petul. defemsove.or panicked.  But "shrill" is the traditonal word to use to PUT DOWN an uppity, confident woman.  Leftist Democrats, including the mainstream media, have missed NO ooprortunity to put down women during the last week plus.  Why should they miss this one (opporunity to put down women).  Aren't you women glad to know what leftist Democrats REALLY think about you?  Adn aren't you impressed with how leftist "femimist" women are willing to joint the sexist men against you, in the name of ideology?

Hurricane Ike Update

Continuing my public service announcements, since I do it better and more factually than the overhyping media, here is the latest update on Ike.  Note again that it is still TOO EARLY to say where Ike is going, and that panic is therefore not indicated.  There IS, for the first time, reference to the need for "moniotring" in the Bahamas.  Here is the relevant part of the NHC advisory:

"IKE IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST NEAR 16 MPH...26 KM/HR. A
GRADUAL TURN TOWARD THE WEST AND WEST-SOUTHWEST IS EXPECTED OVER
THE NEXT 48 HOURS.  ON THIS TRACK THE HURRICANE WILL CONTINUE TO
MOVE OVER THE OPEN WATERS OF THE WEST-CENTRAL ATLANTIC DURING THE
NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.  IT IS TOO EARLY TO DETERMINE WHAT LAND AREAS
MIGHT EVENTUALLY BE AFFECTED BY IKE BUT INTERESTS IN THE
SOUTHEASTERN BAHAMAS AND THE TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS SHOULD
MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF THIS SYSTEM".

Sarah Palin and US Weekly:  Media Cancer Metastasizes (Megan Kelly, Heroine)

Evil in the mainstream media has metastasized, like a cancer out of control  It has all been an effort to destroy Sarah Palin.  US Weekly is another example, in the print media, along with CNN and the rest of the mainstream TV media.

Just to show that I CAN praise Fox News, and not just condemn it for its hurricane coverage, I need to talk about Megan Kelly.  Yes, she is a babe (I can say that now that it has been PROVEN that the leftist media is MORE sexist than I am).  However, she is somewhat more than that. She interviewed the editor of US Weekly and CASTREATED him.  She exposed the US Weekly cover and article as the EVIL DISGRACE it was.  You could not make up what Kelly got this lousy editor to admit.

Did you know that US Weekly cover was supposed to expose the LIES of the LEFT?  Yep.  That is what the editor said.  When pressed by Megan Kelly to explain what "lies" were being talked about on the US Weekly cover, with the word appearing in conjunction with Sarah Palin's picture.  Hes answer was that the cover was not meant to suggest that PALIN lied, but rather that left wing blogs were lying about her when they suggested Palin's baby was NOT HERS.  This is the left wing KOOK story that caused CNN to send reporters to Alaska to "investigate" it (still continuing my "investigation" of the personal life of Soledad O'Brien and Campbell Brown, by the way).

Say what? Megan Kelly reacted exactly that way.  You put "Lies" next to a person's picture on your cover, and you expected people to figure out you were talking about LEFT WING BLOGS?  Megan Kelly then went on to ask about the part of the story referring to the DUI arrest of Palin's husband.   What US Weekly failed to say, although you got the information in an entry in this blog this week, is that the DUI arrest occurred in 1986--22 YEARS ago, when the husband was about 22.  What was OBAMA doing somewhere close to that age?  Right.  Obama, according to his own book, was doing COCAINE.  Obama, further, is the CANDIDATE, and NOT the SPOUSE.  Megan Kelly exposed the editor of US Weekly as a dishonest SLEAZEBALL.

Megan Kelly went on to mention that the US article failed to talk abut what that state trooper brother-in-law DID in Alaska to cause some people to suggest he should be fired.  He TASERED his nephew, and threatened his father-in-law.  In other contexts, the LEFT would DEMAND that such a trooper be fired.  He never was fired, and is still there.  The pathetic, evil editor of US could only say that they did not have space to go into all of the details.

In short, Megan Kelly turned the evil editor of US Weekly into a stinking pile of manure right there on the set.

However, it is only here that you will get the suggestion of the CARTHAGE ALTERNATIVE.  See yesterday's entries.  Does US Weekly deserve to exist any longer?  Of course not.  The world would be a better place if the very name were erased, such that there is no longer any evidence that US Weekly ever existed--as Rome did to Carthage.  It goes without saying that you should BOYCOTT US Weekly.  You should BOYCOTT their advertisers (if you can bring yourself to look at the magazine to find out who those are).  You, as a business, should NOT advertise in US.  As Obama has said, without meaning it, we need to CONFROMNT EVIL WHEN WE SEE IT.  US Weekly is EVIL.

P.S.  Do you want to see how, as long ago as 1947, people understood this type of EVIL?  Se "The Farmer's Daughter", with Loretta Young (rating:  100).  That movie is the best feminists political movie ever made--made BEFORE 1950.  What is th final part of the movie about?  It is about the attempt to DESTROY Loretta Young with "scandal" as a desperate attempt to defeat her.  Does the media--the "MODERN" media--realize that they are the VILLAINS of the movie.  They are the VILLAINS of this week.  CNN, US Weekly, MSNBC, are the EVIL SEXIST VILLAINS of this real life movie?

IN short, do EVIL VILLAINS know that they are VILLAINS.  I think they do.  I think they believe that the end justifies the means:  that ANY evil is all right to destroy their political enemies.  That just establishes how really evil these people are.
