Iraq and the Despicable AP/AOL
AOL is featuring a story right now from Iraq about a single female bomber "attacking" U.S. troops in Iraq (no deaths, mind you, although 7 injured soldiers). This is after the despicable Associated Press, and AOL, have ignored the continued security SUCCESS in Iraq--success emphasized in this stoory yourself, if you can get past the headline and first paragraph to the significant events occurring in Iraq (ONE suicide bomber is NOT a significant event--not worth more than mentioning at the END of a story instead of featured in the lead).
The despicable Associated Press, and AOL, really are despicable--nothing more than public relations agents for terrorists.
What is the NEWS in the AP/AOL story? Right. The NEWS is that refugees are returning to Bagdad because the security position is improving so much (a story that itself has been pretty much ignored by the despicable AP, and AOL. Once you get past the AP/AOL propaganda publicizing the terrorist, the main body of the story IS about that significant news.
What is the HEADLINE? Right. The headline is that a female suicide bomber "attacks U.S. troops" (not, by the way, the more accurate "Female Suicide Bomber FAILS in Suicide Bombing--No Deaths"). The headline, of course, should really be: "Bagdad Security Continues to Improve, as Refugees Start to Return."
Q.E.D.: Despicable, despicable, despicable (AP and AOL).
