NBC News: Anti-Military (Should General Electric Be Boycotted)
Is most of the mainstream media anti-military, and even anti-American? Sure it is. See the multiple entries in the archives of this blog setting forth chapter and verse--especially with regard to the despicable Associated Press, and the equally despicable AOL, but including most of the rest of the mainstream media on occasion (not cited by name too often anymore, because I just don't watch or read them; I have found that it is faster, and easier, to learn what leftists are saying by quickly reviewing AOL (and the mainstream media stories featured on AOL--especially from the despicable AP, but sometimes from the New York Times, CNN, or similar sources).
NBC News has just become the most blatant about its anti-military bias. It is apparently the ONLY network (including its affiliates like MSNBC) to REJECT an ad by Freedomwatch.org. What was the crime of that ad? It THANKED our troops for our service.
See the previous archive entry about the Harvard lawyer who went on O'Reilly and said that Cambridge was RIGHT to stop the Boy Scouts from collecting money to send Care type packages to our troops, with collection boxes under a banner saying "support our troops", because supporting the troops means supporting their mission (I am NOT making this up, and it DOES make a mockery of the leftist claim that they support the troops, but not the mission).
NBC has simply removed all disguises--just like that Harvard lawyer. NBC News is saying that it is "controversial" to support the troops (even by "thank yous".
Is the "real" problem of NBC that a conservative organization was behind the ad? I actually don't think so, although that certainly did not help. I think NBC simply does NOT "support the troops."
Easy answer. It is a free country. NBC can deny any ad it wants to deny (and accept, as it has, anti-American ads which it wishes to accept). WE can boycott NBC, and I suggest everyone do so. I actually suggested this long ago--specifically with regard to MSNBC, but noting that NBC people were featured on that cable network owned by NBC). Really discerning people might BOYCOTT General Electric, which owns NBC.
