Mike Huckabee: The Associated Press Makes Him Look GOOD
Not satisfied with making Mitt Romney look REALLY GOOD as an opponent of religious bigotry and advocate of relitigious tolerance, the Associated Press set out today to make Mike Huckabee look good.
They dug out a questionaires from 1992, when Mike Huckabee was running sor the Senate from Arkansas. Have I told you that the PRIMARY agent of NEGATIVE CAMPAIGNING in this country is the mainstream media? Of course I have. And they insist on proving me RIGHT every single day. This is a NEGATIVE AD against Mike Huckabee by the despicable Associated Press. They took 229 answers (I can't make this stuff up) to these questions in 1992, and tried to examine SELECTED answers in light of subsequent events--about the WORST "negative ad" you can think of--most candidates would not DARE by this obviously UNFAIR. It does not phase the mainstream media.
But neither should the mainstream media phase Huckabee, or the candidates. For example, the Associated Press is DUMB. This blog has already established that it is the worst "news" organization in the universe, including both known and unknown planets. But people in the Associated Press just are NOT BRIGHT. You want proof; I'll give you roof.
One of the examples of a "questionable" answer given by Huckabee to a question was whether we should kill Saddam Hussein (then President of IRaq). The despicable, stupid AP went on to say that, of course, we CAPTURED Saddam Hussein, and then turned him over to be executed by the Iraqis.
In context, this is a blatant LIE (although I am not sure if this is deliberate on the part of the despicable AP, or if they are just this DUMB). This was 1992 (which makes this a totally stupid NEGATIVE AD on the part of the despicable AP). WE HAD NOT INVADED IRAQ IN 1992.
That's right, the stupid AP is confusing a question about ASSASSINATING a head of state (even if one who is running a terrorist state), with the invasion of Iraq. They are not the same thing. It is a LIE to suggest that they are the same thing. Q.E.D. The despicable AP LIES. Plus, they are stupid.
Who looks bad here? Is it Huckabee? Don't be silly. It is the Associated Press, which is trying to bootstrap a rather innocuous position (we should not be gong around ASSASSINATING heads of state--albeit a position I might quibble with in some circumstances) into the idea that Huckabee disapproved of going after Saddam Hussein in the LATER invasion of Iraq.
Okay. We clearly don't know any more about whether we should vote for Huckabee to be President of the United States. We DO know that we should NEVER pay any attention to the Associated Press, and should certainly never voter for anyone connected to the AP (or who even praises the AP, or admits believing the AP) to be President of the United States.
So it is not a total loss reading this story.
For those who think I am misstating what the despicable AP did, here is the exact quote from the AP story (remember, Huckabee's answer was in 1992, BEOFORE the invasion of Iraq):
"When asked whether the U.S. should take any action to kill Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, Huckabee replied: "The U.S. should not kill Saddam Hussein or anyone else." The U.S. military captured Saddam, an Iraqi court convicted him and he was hanged last December."
Remember Rowan and Martin's "Laugh In"? Remember the "Flying, Fickle, Finger of Fate" award (referred to as "the Finger" herein)? That was a sometimes weekly award given to people for particularly stupid things. I am reinstituting the award. The despicable Associated Press is the firs winner.
AP, this is for YOU (imagine me giving them the statue of "the Finger", as Rowan and Martin did to the camera). You deserve it.
