Associated Press Negative Ad Against Romney and Huckabee
"Republican Mitt Romney retorted to questions about his faith by surging rival Mike Huckabee on Wednesday, declaring that "attacking someone's religion is really going too far."
In an article to be published Sunday in The New York Times, Huckabee, an ordained Southern Baptist minister, asks, "Don't Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers?"
First let me say flatly: People in the Associated Press, and the mainstream media in general, are RLIGIOUS BIGOTS. They are more bigoted than Pat Robertson, or the MOST bigoted fundamentalist evangelist out there. They prove it every day. How DARE they seriously ask Romney the Mormon position on whether Jesus and Satan were "brothers". To imply that this is a relevant question in a Presidential campaign makes you a RELIGIOUS BIGOT (see numberous previous entries in this blog).
That said, the above referenced AP article is meant as a NEGATIVE AD against BOTH Huckabee and Romney. It is an attempt to invoke religious bigotry against Romney, and to raise the question in the mind of others wheter Huckabee is TOO religions (undoubtedly the agenda behind the New York Times, as well.
As usual, on this "issue" (that ONLY the mainstream media seems DETERMINED to make an "issue', RELIGIOUS BIGOTS that they are) merely puts Romney on the side of the angels, and makes him look good. He said (correctly--boy is he ever correct) that questions about the faith of someone like this ("Explain whether your religion considers that Jesus and the Devil are brothers") go TOO FAR. Here is Romney blasting this softball out of the park yet again:
"But I think attacking someone's religion is really going too far. It's just not the American way, and I think people will reject that," Romney told NBC's "Today" show
As I said, the mainstream media is trying to do two things here. They are trying to use religious bigotry--religious bigots that they are--against Mitt Romney. At the same time, they are trying to place Huckabee in a religious box. Note that it is really the media that is conducting the ATTACKon Romney here--NOT Huckabee. Now is Huckabee inviting the mainstream media to do his negative ad for him? Maybe so, since everyone knows that the mainstream media is the PRIMARY source of negative ads today. Candidates try to escape personal responsibility by feeding the despicable, hypocritical, lyikng mainstream media (which is perfectly willing to take the ball and run with it). Huckabee, however, had better be careful here They are trying to put him in a box as a Southern Baptist preacher, and this will NOT serve him well in the end..
