Mainstream Media Apology? What Would Jesus Do?
Mike Huckabee has apologized to Mitt Romney for that remark on Mormonism to the New York Times (see yesterday's entry).,
The question is: When is the mainstream media (those lying, sanctimonious hypocrites--the lies here being that the mainstream media really opposes bringing religion into politics, so long as it fits their agenda, and that the media opposes "negative" caompaigning, so long as it is by the media itself) going to APOLOGIZE to Mitt Romney, and Republicans in general?
WHY did Huckabee make the remark that he did? It was because the New York Times pressed him on Romney's religion: "Is Mormonism a cult?", or words to that effect. As set forth in yesterday's entries, the members of the mainstream media are RELIGIOUS BIGOTS, and cataering to religious bigots. They are deliberately bringing relgion into this election, AND deliberately trying to stoke the flames of religious bigotry.
Remember Anderson Cooper and the CNN/YouTube debate? Remember the CNN "statement" (when challenged on the ridiculous questions CNN CHOSE, and the truly despicable way that CNN used that gay general--connected with the CLINTON campaign and well known to CNN--to CONFRONG the Republican candidates in person). CNN said that it was the SUBSTANCE of the questions that CNN was interested in, and not who asked them. In other words, CNN chose the questions that CNN thought were "important" (religious bigots that they are).
"What would Jesus have done?" was a question to Huckabee, where the despicable Anderson Cooper PRESSED Huckabee when he tried to AVOID bringing religion into it. "Do you believe that every word in the Bible is literally true?" Does it get any worse than that as far as trying to inject religion into politics? Of course it doesn't, until you get to the next mainstream media example.
Thus, you have the Associated Press, way back at the beginning of the campaingn, coming out with the story that Mitt Romney's great grandfater was a polygamist. You have the mainstream media REGULARLY, as did the New York Times, raising the "question" of whetther the Mormon religion (the religion of HARRY REID, and several other members of Congress, although the mainstream media generally manages to avoid mentioning that) is a a CULT.
I was alive when George Romney (Mitt Romney's father) ran for PRESIDENT. You know what? I NEVER heard his religion mentioned. Does this mean we have gotten WORSE in the last forty years or so, in terms of religious bigotry. It certainly means that the mainstream media has gotten WORSE (as their audience has declined).
Where is the APOLOGY to Mitt Romney by the mainstream media people? Where is the APOLOGY to Republicans for this constant attempt to inject religion into politics in a DIRECT manner--more direct than the most strident fundamentalists out there.
What would Jesus have done? Well, Mike Huckabee may have shown the mainstream media that HE knows what Jesus would have done. But the mainstream media has no clue. They are not interested in Jesus. They are not interested in religion, except as they can advance their own agenda by religious bigotry, and catering to religious bigotry.
The mainstream media is beneath contempt--lower than blood sucking leeches (which, after all, have their legitimate niche in nature--God's creatures?). I am not sure about God (being an agnostic). However, I AM sure that mainstream media reporters are NOT "God's creatures". They may be the creatrues of Satan (surely are, if Satan exists).
So don't hold your brath for an aopolgy from the mainstream media, or any members of it.
