Chris Matthews, Deutsch, and MSNBC: Bigots
I have long ago boycotted MSNBC (along with everyoine else). However, I could not resist briefly surfing last night to see if there were any comments, after the Democratic debate in Iowa and the OTHER Clinton problems, about the MELTDOWN of Hillary Clinton. (Okay, I am human; I admit to a little GLOATING here--the only problem being that the meltdown may have come too soon, so that Hillary does not actually win the nomination),.
I got no real insioghts on Hillary Clinton, or the mess the Democratic race/candidates have become. However, I did get further confirmation that the mainstream media are RELIGIOUS BIGOTS--lying, sanctimonious hypocrites as they inject religion into politics, even as they assert that they do not want religion in politics.
This particular case in point is Chris Matthews on MSNBC last night, and "analyst" Deutsch (not familiar enough with MSNBC to be sure of first name) Deutsch.
Deutsch told Matthews that Romney's Mormonism remained a problem, and that he "could not win" (the implication being that such was true BECAUSE of his religion). That was made crystal clear when Deutsch assured Matthews that Romney's Mormon religion was too "narrow" for the American people. Meanwhile, Matthews was there nodding his head and indicating agreement with every word--no discomfort at all that this was crass RELIGIOUS BIGOTRY endorsing every person out there who has voted against a conadidate because the candidate was Jewish, Catholic, Muslim, Methodist, or whatever. Replace "Mormon" with "Jew" every time the Mormon religion was referred to on the Chris Matthews show, and Matthews would never work on televison again. But since it is ACCEPTABLE (in the mainstream media--not to me, as I have nothing but CONTEMPT for these despicable bigots) in the mainstream media to engage in and/or encourage anti-Mormon bigotry (not to mention anti-fundamentalist Christian bigotry, etc.).
Matthews went on to say something to the effect: "Would not Romney have had a better chance of winning if he had campaiigned as a MODERATE (that is, left leaning and supporting the MSNBC agenda) Republican?w" There seemed to be universal agreement to this MSNBC party line. Consider this carefully. If President-elect Romney runs as a CONSERVATIVE, his Mornon religion is fatal (although perhaps not as fatal as running as a conservativel), and his religion is "too narrow"for the American people. If he had run as a LIBERAL Republican,, his religion would not matter. WHY is that? Well, these people are lying hypocrites, for one thing. But, for another, it means that it is ASSUMED that liberals don't really believe their religion. Ted Kennedy can run as a Catholic (as can John Kerry), and be pro-abortion. Leftists just ASSUME that fellow leftists are only paying lip service to any religion they profess (such as Hillary Clinton's Methodist faith), because so many hicks out there may really believe in a religion.
Nope. I am willing to state it flatly (this blog refuses to wimp out): Chris Matthews, Deutsch, and MSNBC are RELIGIOUS BIGOTS. They ARE despicable bigots. It is even WORSE that the bigotry is explcitly in aid of a political agenda (in their hearts they ARE truly bigots, by the way, even though they THINK that they are just USING religious bigotry to try to do in conservative candidates).
Q.E.D. This blog has been right over these many months to assure you that the PRIMARY religious bigots in this country are leftists, Dem,ocrats and the mainstream media (that unholy trinity who are ONE).
Note: Some of you may be puzzled by my references to "President-elect Romney". That is because I have CALLED the 2008 election for Mitt Romney, in the tradition of "news" organizations "calls" before significant votes have been counted. I am able to "call" an electon before even the nominations because I am so much BETTER than those "news" organizations, and understand politics better.
