I recently revived the old "Laugh In" award of the "Flying, Fickle Finger of Fate" (affectionately called "the finger").

This week's winner is (the envelope, please):  FOX NEWS (see previous entry), and especially "Fox and Friends" for that truly inciteful, back fence gossip "question" assassinating the character of Prince Charles (no jokes, please, about whether he has any character to assassinate--he is the HERO of dull, nerdy men like me everywhere).

The conmpetition was STIFF.   As usual, the despicable AP was in the running (see today's entry).   But Fox News, this is for YOU (imagine statuette of finger being handed to Fox News here--nope, for censorship purposes, it is the INDEX finger, and not the middle finger depicted in the statuette).

Now you are probably asking why Fox News, and not the OTHER media outlets undoubtedly engaging in the same back fence gossip masquerading as "news".  Simple: I SURF Fox News (for now--I am constantly wondering why).  I do NOT surf the other "news" outlets.  This story shows why it is a complete waste of time.  It is pretty much a waste of time to watch Fox News, as well.  They DESERVE this award, and are consistently no better than the mainstream media.
