The mainstream media (story by the despciable AP featured today on AOL) is STILL obsessing on Mike Huckabee daring to refer the Jesus in his Christmas ad (and there is all of that stuff about the "subliminal" cross).

The LEAST of the problems with Huckabee is mentioning Juesus (which is not a problem at alll).   It is ONLY the religious BIGOTS (see numberous entries in my AOL blog, "The Maverick Conservative" for chapter and verse over many months) of the left and the mainstream media that want to focus on RELIGION as a reason NOT to vote for a candidate.

Yes, the mainstream media, and leftists, are MUCH worse than mostof the evangelical Christians out there is trying to stir up religious bigotry against ROMNEY (the despicable AP did a story on his polygaimist great grandfather).

Huckabee's real problem is not Jesus (or references to same).   His problem is whether he has the overall substance and experience to be President (from foreign policy to immigration, it is somewhat questionable, altough I would probably vote for him in the gneral election).  It is the mainstream media that wants to focus on the most IRRELEVANT question about Huckabee--religion.

Most Americans (including clear thinking agnostics like me) don't mind Huckabee mentioning Jesus in connection with Christmas.  Dirty little secret (to the ACLU, AP, AOL, the mainstream media, and leftists):  Christmas is a NATIONAL HOLIDAY celecrating the birth of JESUS (yes, a RELIGIOUS holiday, even while other religions do not have a national holiday, for the reason that they are NOT the majority religion in the country).

Not so secrett:  The ACLU, and the left in general, would dearly love to move to ABOLISH CHRISTMAS as a national holiday.  Since they don't yet DARE, they now try the next best thing:  To prevent anyone from talking about what the holiday is really ABOUT, and to make sure Christians do not actually ENJORY their holiday.  The Grinch is a piker compared to leftists.
