Death Penalty and Religion (Continued)
As I have suggested, it is inappropriate to ARGUE THEOLOGY in public policy debates (which is generallly a LEFTIST tactic), even though it is perfectly appropriate to arrive at a public policy position basd on religious conviction (something leftists purport not to understand, unless you are talking slavery or civil rights).
However, I do have a quasi-religious comment on the leftist position on the death penalty, and crime in general--not to mention terrorism.
I have never been much attracted by any description I have ever seen of Heaven (which may explain why I am an agnostic, although raised Presbyterian). I have aloways, however, been attracted by the concept of HELL.
Imagine: Terrortists, murderers, and others TORTURED for all ETERNITY, without appeal. No ACLU. No hypocritical, fuzzy thinking, leftist cry babies. I have often thought it would be worth (Heaven?) going there merely for such a place to exist
