Death Penalty Continued
"Don't any of you bloodthristy individuals care that you may have put an innoncent person to death? While wrongfully spending many years in prison without your freedom is bad, it can be corrected. Once executed, there is no correction."
More people are MURDERED/die (often by people who have killed before) in prison than are ever executed. Don't you WORRY that, in sending a person to prison for burglary, you are potentially KILLING that person? Oh. I forgot. Leftists don't really believe in holding people responsible for their actions IN ANY WAY (the EXTENDED DEATH SENTENCE of "life without possibility of parole" is merely a leftist TACTIC--not that they really believe in that punishment either).
I have absolutely NO doubt that more innocent people have been killed by murderors NOT executed, than innocent people have died as a result of the death penalty (see Judge Parker quote in my AOL blog, "The Maverick Conservative"). Their BLOOD is on the hands of you opponents of the death penalty.
The idea of public policy is to save the maximum number of innocent people. The RARE instance of erroneous execution (there is NO PROOF that ANY innocent person has veen executed in recent years). With today's forensic technology, the death penalty for an innocent person is even MORE RARE--more rare than it has ever been in human history. It is as clear as anything like this can ever be that the death penalty SAVES INNOCENT LIVES.
P.S. The above represents another import of a comment from AOL, and my incisive response.
