Bhutto, Pakistan, and the Evil Media
"Controversy Over Bhutto's Death Rises Anew"
The above is the headline for the presnet AP story on the death of Benzir Bhutto.
How can we expect the people of Pakistan to be rational if our own media is consistently IRRANTIONAL?
What is this "controversy" over the death of Bhutto? It is a new video seemingly showing a man firing a gun at Bhutto, and suggesting that the bullets hit her (just before the suicide bomb blast). Meanwhile, the Pakistani government has said she died from a ractured skull caused by the suicide blast, and that no bullets were found--even thoujgh medical reports seem ambiguous on the subject--suggeting that bullets were not even searched for. It is only in the twisted mind of our irrational media (and people with an agenda) that this is really a "controversy" (as distinguished from merely puzzling).
IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. It is as certain as these things can possibly be that these things can possibly be that this is ONE assassination plot (gunshots and suicide blast). Any other position is ridiculous, considering that the suicide blast immediately followed the gunshots. This assassination plot was SUCCESSFUL. What real difference can it possibly make HOW it succeed: by direct gunshot or by the suicide blast throwng Bhutto's head against a part of the vehicle? It can't make ANY difference.
It does not change WHO killed her. It is not important at all on that question. The people behind the ONE assassination plot killed her--whoever those people are, and whther a bullet killed her, or some reaction of her body to the suicide blast.
The media should be emphasizing this point STRONGLY. To act like the exact manner of Bhutto's death is important is IRRATIONAL. It is ignoring the forest for the trees. "Heat instead of light" should be the motto of our mainstream media, instead of the high sounding mottos they sometimes use.
I don't care if the Pakistani govenment, for its own screwball reasons, may be tryig to suggest it makes a difference. It truly is insane to suggest that the exact cause of the death of Benazir Bhutto is important. It is NOT (absent some convincing evidence as to why the obvious fact of ONE assassination plot is somehow not valid).
In fact, it does not even matter if there were more than one assassination plot (unlikely as that is). Would not the people behind BOTH plots then be responsible for the death of Bhutto (certainly morally). Of course they would.
The media does nothing nowadays but put out HEAT. This is often to advance an agenda, but often just to hype "conroversy". This means that the media is feeding irrationality in the world, and often encouragin irrational people to do irrational things (up to an including KILLING).
That is why I often refer to the Evil Media in this blog, and will cntinue to do so.
